After months of uncertainty, it now seems that Joe Giudice will serve prison time following his conviction on several counts of fraud back in March.

Joe and his wife Teresa both pled guilty in hopes of receiving a lighter sentence, but while sources indicate that Teresa may get off with house arrest, Joe was reportedly informed by his lawyers this week that prison is inevitable.

Teresa, Joe Giudice

"Joe is in the final stages of working out a plea deal in the forged driver's license case," an insider tells Radar Online. "He will be allowed to serve time concurrently with time in the fraud case."

"He's doing time for sure. There will be no probation in both cases. The only uncertainty is about how much time Joe will actually serve."

Joe's first round of sentencing is scheduled for October 2. He could face up to four years behind bars.

When you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, you may get the impression that Teresa and Joe Giudice are still doing pretty well for themselves, despite their recent legal issues.

The Giudices Leave Court

And who could blame you? The Giudices have gone to great lengths to keep up appearances. Teresa even borrowed a $2,500 handbag to go house hunting on last week's episode.

Sources say Teresa's goal was to look wealthy to real estate agents, even though her bankruptcy and credit issues have been all over the news.

Unfortunately for the Giudices, the folks showing homes in New Jersey have Internet access and know just as much about Teresa and Joe's sketchy past as the rest of us.

The ploy didn't work, and Teresa is reportedly having no luck downsizing to a smaller house.

The highest-paid Jersey Housewife went house hunting with her daughters on the most recent episode of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, and eagle-eyed viewers noted that the Valentino handbag she was sporting retails for about $2,500!

Jacqueline Laurita returned to Bravo on Sunday's The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 10, and she is back with a vengeance.

Her comeback dovetailed with the drama surrounding Teresa Giudice, whom Jacque says she reached out to twice recently, but received little response.

"You are weighing heavily on my mind," said Laurita, reading to former housewife Kathy Wakile one of the lengthy text messages she had sent Giudice.

"You were like a sister to me," she went on. "I wish I could be there to hug you."

Teresa's reply: "Thank you for thinking of me and my family. Kisses."

"When you pour your heart out and all you get is, 'Thank you. Kisses,' that's closing the book for me," said Wakile on The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 10.

Still Jacque remained somewhat sympathetic and supportive.

Joe and Teresa Giudice have got problems.

They might both be headed to prison soon, which obviously has them worried about how to provide for their four daughters in the coming years.

Teresa Giudice and Family

So Joe and Teresa are selling their $4 million dollar mansion in Jersey, a move they probably should've made months ago, as they might get locked up as early as October 2.

Why did they wait, you ask? Well, for the same reason they do just about everything - to keep up appearances!

Yes, Teresa apparently insisted that the sale of the house be delayed until after filming for the sixth season of The Real Housewives of New Jersey had ended. Riiiight, because that way they'll be able to keep it a secret.

Teresa Giudice was forced to spread rumors about Teresa and Rino Aprea by the producers of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, a new report suggests.

The allegations and accusations surrounding Napolitano and her twin sister, Aprea, are becoming a big time storyline this season, or so Bravo is hoping.

According to a source, show executives pressured Giudice to spread the rumor that Aprea’s husband Rino cheated on her with her mother, Santa.

Victoria Gotti first floated the rumor, but the cast members agreed to keep things under wraps ... until Giudice blabbed and the twins are reportedly livid.

On The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 9, Giudice confessed to Dina Manzo that she had heard a rumor about Rino nailing Santa.

But now, Giudice says, that entire scene was staged by producers to make her look bad for pulling out of going on the housewives’ cast trip to Miami.

“Teresa didn’t want or need in any drama in her life at that time,” the source dished.

The Giudices appear to be in good spirits, and for the first time in a long time, they may actually have reason to smile.

A source close to their trial recently revealed to Us Weekly that Teresa will likely be placed under house arrest. Good news for the troubled Housewife, as it previously looked as though she would be sentenced to two years in prison.

According to friends, Teresa was a nervous wreck after being convicted, but she's now "positive" that she won't go to prison.

On The Real Housewives of New Jersey Season 6 Episode 9, the Garden State ladies each dealt with some life changes that are nothing short of monumental.

And we don't even know where to start with Joe and Teresa Giudice ...

Whatever you think of the contrived drama you normally see when you watch The Real Housewives of New Jersey online, things got real Sunday.

Five years removed from her first diagnosis with breast cancer, Amber Marchese was told by her doctors that her most recent results were inconclusive.

She should come back in for more testing, she was told.

At some point, it really will happen: Teresa Giudice will be sentenced for committing various forms of financial fraud.

Giudice and husband Joe pleaded guilty to a number of charges a few months ago, a development chronicled this past Sunday night on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Their sentencing was originally pushed back until September 23, due to the death of Joe's mother, and now Teresa's lawyers are angling to get it pushed back again, this time until October 2.

On October 5, Teresa and Joe Giudice will be sentenced for their convictions on several counts of fraud. Teresa could receive up to two years in prison, and Joe nearly four.

To make matters worse, Joe Giudice never bothered to become an American citizen, meaning that after he serves his time, there's a good chance he could be shipped back to Italy.

Giudices Go to Court

Sources say Joe is certain that he won't be deported - but his confidence reportedly stunned his friends and lawyers, most of whom believe it's all but guaranteed that Joe will be booted out of the States given the nature and severity of his crimes.

"It seemed like a foregone conclusion that Joe would be deported,” one insider told Radar Online.

Teresa and Joe have delayed their sentencing on multiple occasions, but legal experts say they're all out of tricks and will definitely have to face the music on October 5.
