A ring buried in a box of chocolates. A popped question over a romantic dinner in Paris. A tearful acceptance and applause from a moved crowd of diners.

That sounds great, but despite recent celebrity gossip reports, it did not actually take place between Mary-Kate Olsen and her boyfriend Nate Lowman.

Olsen, who has been dating Lowman since 2008 after they met through some mutual friends, is neither engaged nor preparing a prenup with her love.

"Even though this information continues to be reported as 'fact,' the stories regarding Mary-Kate being engaged are not accurate," Olsen's rep said.

The actress-design mogul and her beau, who was rumored to have gotten Mary-Kate pregnant last December, recently attended Paris Fashion Week.

But no marriage plans, at least not yet. The only engagement she has on tap is to star in Beastly, alongside Neil Patrick Harris and Vanessa Hudgens.

Nate Lowman has no plans to be Mr. Mary-Kate Olsen. Yet.

Skinny star Mary-Kate Olsen has sparked rumours that she is expecting her first child after her weight shot up to a practically-obese 102 pounds.

A source tells the National Enquirer:

"Mary-Kate has been looking a lot rounder recently. It is good she has put on weight, because she previously suffered from anorexia, but a lot of people think she could actually be attempting to hide her pregnancy."

Mary-Kate Olsen has been dating artist Nate Lowman since early this year and is said to have been inspired to start a family by her friend, Heath Ledger - who told her that becoming a father was the most rewarding thing he had ever done.

A source added: "Mary-Kate really took Heath's words to heart. She wanted the same kind of fulfillment in her life that Heath found in his after becoming a dad."

But is she really pregnant by Nate Lowman, or are we jumping the gun based on her consumption of the occasional cheeseburger? What do you think?

Star Magazine, also known as the beacon of celebrity news integrity, has a great story this morning - that Ashley Olsen is contemplating getting some larger breasts and trying to persuade twin sister Mary-Kate to get them as well.

“Ashley is considering getting her boobs done - she wants to be more voluptuous," reports a supposed insider. "And she told Mary-Kate that she wanted her to get one at the same time so that it wouldn’t be glaringly obvious."

The article continues: "That way, they could say that they had just both matured and were filling out naturally.” Mmm hmm. Just like Audrina Patridge.

Mary-Kate Olsen, according to the report, is not a fan - she is “horrified” by the idea and “hates being told what to do and how to look by Ashley.”

NOTE TO THE OLSEN TWINS: If looking "voluptuous" is really the goal, you might start with a little nourishment. Seriously. Try the bacon cheeseburger the next time you're out. Not only will it "fill you out," but it will piss off PETA.

They really do. And we're not talking about eating disorders, drug problems, the worst fashion sense on Earth, or tangential connections to the death of a prominent actor earlier this year. We mean it in the literal sense!

The investigation into Heath Ledger's death is officially case closed - the high-profile probe was closed abruptly without no charges being filed.

Mary-Kate Olsen had just been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury, but her attorney had been in negotiations with federal authorities since.

The actress was expected to be a part of a DEA investigation into Ledger's death earlier this year - after Ledger's masseuse found his dead body, she used the star's cell phone to dial MK three times before hitting up 911.

But with the case officially closed, Olsen's now off the hook. She must be so relieved. She'll probably start eating regularly now. Oh wait ...

On a related note, sources connected with the Heath Ledger investigation say the Drug Enforcement Administration set a new low with its conduct.

How's this for starters ... no one connected with the case can point to a single other DEA case where a massive investigation was launched over an accidental death in which no criminality was evident - or even hinted at.
