This is sad.

Paris Hilton, one of the first people to realize that today's celebrity gossip culture doesn't require actual talent from its stars in order to prop them on a pedestal, has lost it. She can only make headlines for one reason and one reason alone:

Wearing the same outfit as someone else.

Earlier this week, she battled Daphne Zuniga in a fashion face-off. Prior to that matchup, she took on Erin Lucas and Demi Lovato, all in the span of a few weeks.

Rachel Bilson used to star on The OC. Leighton Meester stars on Gossip Girl. Both are cute brunettes, and both those shows were created by Josh Schwartz.

The similarities don't end there. Bilson flaunted a sheer Chris and Jaime romper while out in L.A., while Meester hit a concert in NYC in the floral one-piece.

Rachel Bilson and Hayden Christensen, her longtime boyfriend, got engaged quietly over the holidays, according to the New York Post's Page Six!

According to a friend of the former star of The OC, the gorgeous couple, who have dated for years now and co-starred in Jumper, got engaged in December.

"They're so excited," says the pal, adding that no wedding date has been set. "They're a great couple. Rachel seems thrilled beyond belief."

When contacted, Bilson's rep declined comment, saying "I don't comment on my clients' personal lives." Christensen's rep couldn't be reached for comment.

The Page Six snitch says a man sitting in front of Rachel Bilson on a Virgin America flight from LA to JFK Monday night with her mom saw a ring on her finger.

"He asked if she was married," says the Post source, who heard Bilson reply, "I'm not married, just engaged... I know I look like I'm 15, but I'm actually 27."

In addition to discussing boyfriends past (Adam Brody) and present (Hayden Christensen), the actress dishes on her new clothing line, Edie Rose:

“[Even though I can’t sew,] I came with some pictures, a couple pieces of my own clothes and some ideas in my head," says Rachel Bilson.

"It’s really simple with one pop of color, which is a lot like me.”

As far as landing on the celebrity fashion police most wanted list, which has happened to her more than once (think one-sleeved sweater):

“I think it’s kind of cool to be on the worst-dressed list," she laughs. "If people aren’t accepting, that’s really okay. Bring it on, I don’t care!”

Her next role? Rachel will be serving as maid of honor at the wedding of Josh Schwartz (creator of The OC, Gossip Girl and Chuck) and his fiancee Jill!

Rachel Bilson strikes a pretty pose in the latest ad campaign for her junior sportswear line, Edie Rose for DKNY Jeans.

“This is something that I have been interested in doing for such a long time,” the actress said. “I was just waiting for the perfect opportunity for it to be done right... I want people to see these clothes for what they are, not just another line designed by another celebrity. I want the line to be taken seriously.
