Pssst, Seneca Crane and other Gamemakers: Katniss Everdeen would like your attention.

A new clip from The Hunger Games should ease many concerns fans of this book series might possess, as it's taken straight from the pages of the best-selling Suzanne Collins' novel. Watch now as Katinss brandishes her best skill in order to make an impression on those who will decide her fate:

The sneak peek premiered on the movie's Facebook page and included, along with it, the following statement from Collins:

"I'm really happy with how it turned out... Director Gary Ross has created an adaptation that is faithful in both narrative and theme, but he's also brought a rich and powerful vision of Panem, its brutality and excesses, to the film as well... The cast, led by the extraordinary Jennifer Lawrence, is absolutely wonderful across the board. It's such a pleasure to see how they've embodied the characters and brought them to life."

The Hunger Games - EEEK! - opens on March 23.

We finally have an answer to the eternal question: What happens when you dub audio from The Hunger Games trailer over action from The Vampire Diaries?

For whatever inspired reason, an Internet user has come up with the following video, in which dialogue from Katniss, Peeta, Gale and company is heard... while scenes featuring Damon, Elena, Stefan and the Mystic Falls gang are featured.

They correspond eerily well for the most part, while getting us excited for both March 23 (the premiere of The Hunger Games) and March 15 (the return of The Vampire Diaries). See for yourself now:

Sit down, The Twilight Saga. Take a backseat, Harry Potter. There's a new, early box office champion in Hollywood!

According to Fandango, The Hunger Games has set a new mark for first-day advance ticket sales, as anxious Katniss Everdeen fans lit up the Internet on February 22 in anticipation of this blockbuster and purchased more tickets ahead of the film's opening than the previous record holder, Eclipse.

Said Fandango Executive Vice President and General Manager, Rick Butler:

"The Hunger Games is off to a fantastic start. We saw the biggest first day advance ticketing sales in our company’s nearly 12-year history – which is especially impressive for a March release and a non-sequel.”

Taylor Swift + Katniss Everdeen = Utter awesomeness.

Granted, the singer doesn't actually interact with the District 12 resident in the following video - which is for "Safe and Sound," the single by Swift and The Civil Wars that will be included on The Hunger Games soundtrack - but still. That notion makes us smile.

Swift and Civil Wars

Below, watch as Taylor wanders around the forest alone, barefoot and ragged, never actually meeting with The Civil Wars (who opened for her at the 2012 Grammys), but eventually picking up the iconic Mockingjay pin from the books and perfectly honoring the story we all know and love.

The odds are apparently in our favor today, as Lionsgate has given us yet another awesome look at Jennifer Lawrence in the role of Katniss Everdeen.

Below, the actress graces the cover of the upcoming Hunger Games soundtrack, which is scheduled for a March 20 release, three days before movie lines around the country extend for blocks when this film actually opens.

Look for the CD to be comprised of tracks from "District 12 and Beyond," aka Taylor Swift and The Civil Wars, the Decembrists, and Arcade Fire, among other artists.
