Lenny Kravitz has landed one of the few major roles remaining in The Hunger Games.

The musician, who impressed audiences with his range in Precious, will portray Cinna in the big screen version of this novel. That character is the personal stylist for Jennifer Lawrence's Katniss, a resident of the Capitol who grows more important, and sympathetic, as the story moves along.

"When I saw Lenny's work in Precious, I was just knocked out," director Gary Ross said. "It was quiet and strong and understated and open-hearted: all qualities which define this character."

Despite joining a blockbuster whose cast includes Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, and Stanley Tucci, Kravitz isn't done rocking:

His next album, "Black and White America," comes out on August 30.

After a quick glance at the cover of this week's Entertainment Weekly, it's clear: Jennifer Lawrence IS Katniss Everdeen.

But how did the 20-year old blonde transform into the protagonist of The Hunger Games? She talks about the process in the EW feature piece.

On her hair: "I think I just have to stay tan. Or I'll look like the girl from The Ring."

What about training? The Oscar nominee has become adept at archery, track work, stunt drills, and yoga. She was also told to became lean, not "gaunt," in order to begin shooting this week in North Carolina.

On her Hunger Games outfit: "I want to make sure I can run and jump and climb. I've been driving [the costume designers] crazy with the boots: You have to fix this here, you have to make it lighter here, you have to open it up here.' The dresses I don't care about. Just put them on me. It's like Oscar season again."

Pick up the latest issue of EW for a lot more from the star.

A pair of relatively unknown actresses have joined Team Katniss.

Latarsha Rose and Brooke Bundy will portray stylists Portia and Octavia, respectively, in the widely-anticipated big screen version of the Suzanne Collins' novel.

The Hunger Games Stars

Rose, who will pretty up Peeta for The Capitol's devious event, has thus far enjoyed small roles in All My Children, CSI, Bones, Swingtown and Law & Order.

Bundy is even more of an unknown. Her role of Octavia, a member of Katniss' prep team, will be her first major role of any kind.

Neither character plays an integral part in the books, but they add flare and character to what is often a sullen, serious story.

The Hunger Games comes out on March 23, 2012.

I love this story - and if I had said no, I would regret it every day.

So says Jennifer Lawrence to Entertainment Weekly in that magazine's latest issue. The Winter's Bone star was a controversial choice to portray Katniss Everdeen, mostly due to her age and blonde hair color. But a simple dye job has at least taken care of the latter problem.

Is this the image of Katniss on the big screen you had in mind, readers?

In an interview with the publication, Lawrence laughed because she recounted the experience of being transformed into the novel's main character... and realized it was akin to exactly what Katniss went through as a Tribute.

The Hunger Games has rounded out its Tributes.

Alexander Ludwig and Isabelle Fuhrman have landed the key roles of Cato and Clove in the film, the District 2 representatives who serve as major foils for Katniss and Peeta during the Games themselves.

Ludwig is best known for a part in The Race to Witch Mountain, while Fuhrman guest-starred on The Whole Truth last year.

The additions of these young stars mean the movie has filled every Tribute role from the book. It also found its Haymitch yesterday in the form of Woody Harrelson.

Almost all major characters have now been cast. All that remains is for filming to commence and for fans to line up down the block when The Hunger Games hits theaters on March 23, 2012.

Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, meet your mentor.

Veteran actor and Oscar nominee Woody Harrelson has landed the vital role of Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games. As fans of the book series know, this character is key to the trilogy, serving as the teacher for Katniss and Peeta inside the Capitol arena during its fatally entertaining event.

The champion of the 50th Hunger Games, Haymitch is a drunk who has a love/hate relationship with Lawrence's Katniss. John C. Reilly was initially rumored for the role, but anyone who saw Kingpin has no doubt about Harrelson's ability to act inebriated.

What do you think of this casting choice, fans of the novel?

An Oscar nominee has landed a pivotal supporting role in The Hunger Games.

Stanley Tucci (The Devil Wears Prada, Burlesque, Easy A) will come on board the beloved trilogy as Caesar Flickerman, the host of the title event and the man responsible for interviewing Katniss, Peeta and company in front of the viewing audience.

A relatively harmless character in the grand scheme of the Capitol, Flickerman is a flamboyant individual, making Tucci the ideal fit. He joins Wes Bentley as the two actors most recently named to the cast.

We'll still awaiting word on two of the most vital roles of all: President Snow and Haymitch.

Wes Bentley has joined the cast of The Hunger Games.

The actor, best known for his role in America Beauty and most recently seen in Jonah Hex, will take on the role of Seneca Crane in the big screen adaption of Suzanne Collins' popular trilogy.

The Head Gamemaker of the 74th Hunger Games, Crane suffers an undesirable fate soon after that event is completed.

Bentley is younger than we imagined Crane to be, and the casting of a somewhat well-known actor implies that the Gamemaker may have more of a speaking role in the film than he has in the book.

But we'll need to wait until March 23, 2012 to find out. That's when Bentley, Jennifer Lawrence and company bring The Hunger Games to life!

The rumor of Elizabeth's casting surfaced earlier in April, but was not confirmed until now. The film, based on the best-selling novel, is getting huge buzz.

As for Banks' character?

Always on time, Effie is very strict about manners. But despite a seemingly serious demeanor, she has bright pink hair. Think Banks is a good pick for the role?
