To anyone accusing her of being wasteful or irresponsible on a planet already short on resources, Michelle Duggar of 19 Kids and Counting offers a strong rebuke.

In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Michelle was asked how one can justify having such a large family in an already overpopulated world.

Duggar said overpopulation is basically a myth. Why? Get ready for this ...

Jim Bob, Michelle Duggar, Family

"The idea of overpopulation is not accurate because, really, the whole world population, standing shoulder to shoulder, could fit in the city limits of Jacksonville."

"So if you realize that aspect, we're not anywhere near being overpopulated."

Who knew Jacksonville was that big? Take that, science. Step off.

Michelle Duggar did, with all due respect, go on to discuss how buying used cars, old clothing and living resourcefully can reduce a family's environmental impact.

They also have no debts, reducing their financial burden on others.

Nevertheless, a family of 21? Probably more of strain on the environment than one half its size. Or a quarter of its size. Carbon footprints do exist, like it or not.

According to Duggar - who does specialize in a terrific Duggars Tater Tot Casserole recipe -  other countries have death rates that eclipse birth rates (it's actually quite rare), so there can never be too many babies. Huh?

Anyway, we're done. Your turn. Is it okay to have 19 kids?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting fame are campaigning hard for Rick Santorum, calling the Republican the "Man Of God" to lead the United States.

The ultra religious Duggar family backed the GOP presidential candidate early on, and have been emboldened by the underdog's recent surge to the top of many polls.

“We want a man that honors God to lead our nation,” Michelle Duggar said about the former Senator and why she's supporting him for the Republican party nomination.

“We have been praying to the Lord that if you want the heart of the voters to turn to Rick Santorum then please do so,” she said. “We prayed that more people would take a closer look at him, and more people are getting behind him.”

Jim Bob Duggar said he was impressed with Santorum, who recently gained another celeb endorsement from Megadeth's Dave Mustaine, throughout his career.

“He has a backbone of steel and a heart of gold," Jim Bob said. "He’s the family values candidate with a proven record. He honors life and stands for what is right. He’s on a shoestring budget, but we hope he will go from a pickup truck to Air Force One.”

In the coming weeks, Jim Bob and Michelle will keep spreading love for Santorum. NOTE: Google Rick Santorum for an interesting take on "Spreading Santorum."

Following the miscarriage of their 20th child in December, reality stars Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar say they haven't given up the dream of having baby #20.

“We would love another gift if God saw to it,” Michelle Duggar said about the couple's hopes that she could have another baby. “We’ll take more children!”

Michelle miscarried Jubilee Duggar (they named and held a memorial service for the fetus) last year, which will be depicted on TLC's 19 Kids and Counting.

“Whatever blessing God wants to give us we’ll be thankful for,” she said in a clip from Tuesday's season premiere. “We would be so happy with another child.”

Michelle said all of the family members dealt with Jubilee’s death differently, but she was especially touched by the way little Jordan, 2, interacted with her.

“We told her that Jubilee had died and was with Jesus and she would come up and pat my tummy and say ‘Baby Jubilee gone but she’s with Jesus.’"

"She was understanding it as best as she can.”

Should the Duggars try for a 20th baby?

Amy Duggar from 19 Kids and Counting was targeted by a woman in Iowa who claimed to have compromising photos of her and tried to leverage money from TLC.

Federal court documents show Teresa Hunt was arrested February 1 after she apparently sent TLC executives letters demanding that they either:

  1. Cancel 19 Kids and Counting, or
  2. Pay her $10,000 in exchange for her not releasing photos of Amy and a 56-year-old musician engaged in "apparently intimate situations."
A. Duggar

Amy, an aspiring country singer and the 25-year-old niece of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, said in a statement that there are no compromising photos of her with the musician, whom she has known for quite some time as a friend.

"It's totally untrue. He is a longtime family friend who has always been supportive of my music career. He's a good Christian man and it's upsetting that his generosity has been exploited like this," Amy Duggar said.

It's not clear why Teresa Hunt felt they were worth selling in that case, but good to know the 19 Duggar kids can still look up to their cousin.

No word if Amy's as psyched up about Rick Santorum's wins in the Republican primary race last night as Jim Bob, Michelle and their brood.

Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum's daughter Bella, who suffers from a rare genetic disorder called Trisomy 18, was hospitalized over the weekend.

Santorum left the presidential campaign trail in Florida to be with his three-year-old daughter Bella, the youngest of the former U.S. Senator's seven children.

Bella was admitted to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Saturday but has since made a "miraculous turnaround," according to sources close to the candidate.

Rick Santorum’s 20-year-old daughter, Liz, appeared on his behalf in Sarasota, Fla., giving a brief speech to a crowd of about 250 at an airplane hangar.

"My dad wishes he could be here today," she said, according to The Palm Beach Post. "My dad today is exercising his most important role; being a dad."

Santorum also received some help from supporters Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting, who spoke at campaign events on his behalf.

The Florida primary is tomorrow.

GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum has received a celebrity endorsement on the day of the Iowa caucuses. Or 19 of them, to be precise: The Duggar Family!

The TLC reality family joined the ultraconservative candidate in Iowa on the campaign trail, where he's battling Ron Paul and Mitt Romney with mere hours to go.

Confession time, though: Santorum is not their first choice.

Duggar and Santorum

"You may not agree with everything [Santorum] has done," Jim Bob Duggar said. "But you're not going to find the perfect candidate unless it's Jesus Christ running."

Santorum, to the family patriarch, is the next best thing.

"He's somebody that doesn't take a poll to know where he stands. I'm asking families, Christians all over America, to get behind Rick Santorum for president."

Duggar made his comments in Iowa, where he arrived after packing up a dozen of his kids in a big tour bus, freshly repainted to include Santorum's name.

As you may know, Michelle Duggar of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting fame tragically suffered a miscarriage this month. The family has grieved in its own way ever since.

The family not only held a memorial for their 20th child, where they Tweeted pictures of the fetus and Michelle read a letter aloud that she had written to little Jubilee.

Like we said, they grieve in unique fashion.

In the recording (above), Michelle sounds more upbeat and happy than you might think as she reads to the daughter she never got to know - in this world at least.

She also refers to Jubilee as baby #21 - she had another miscarriage earlier in life - as she recalls all the moments they spent together this year. It's ... interesting.

What do you think of the Duggars' way of honoring their unborn baby?

It's been a hard month for Michelle Duggar. Not only did she suffer a miscarriage with her 20th child, she is also in the position of having to comfort her younger kids.

Fortunately, she's been able to receive comfort from her offspring, as well.

Michelle says Jackson, 7, asked about baby sister Jubilee Shalom. She soothed him and explained the loss of the child that the family never got to know.

She likely left out the part about them Tweeting a pic of the miscarried fetus.

"I told him there is going to be a day when we're going to be together again," she says. "As the days go on, I know we will have time to talk through all this. I have been trying to hold my composure and do what I needed to do, and then be able to grieve."

It's not just the young ones who need solace. Jill, 20, who's studying to be a midwife and had been charting the baby's growth and heartbeat, is devastated.

"She was crying and weeping last night," Michelle said at the memorial service for Jubilee. "I hugged her and said, 'I am holding on, and I am going to let the tears go. We can pray, cry and grieve together in the weeks and days we walk through this.'"

But Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar lean on their children, too.

"My older girls have been precious to make Momma take care of Momma right now, and Jim Bob has been busy taking care of everything," she says.

Despite their loss, the family plans to celebrate all their December birthdays: Josie (2), Jordyn (3), Jinger (18) and twins Jedidiah and Jeremiah (13).

Should they try for a 20th baby again?

The Duggar Family, grieving from the loss of what would've been their 20th child, not only named the miscarried baby (a girl, Jubilee), they held a memorial service for her and took photos of the corpse, one of which made it onto Twitter.

It's unclear which family member or friend posted it online, but the Duggars weren't trying to keep it private. An artistic picture of the fetus, due in April, was distributed it at the memorial Wednesday. We have not posted it here for obvious reasons.

Michelle Duggar, who has given birth 19 times, and suffered severe medical issues with her youngest, Josie-Brooklyn (now 2), announced the miscarriage last week.

Because it was during the second trimester, the little girl's body was partially formed, and therefore had to be delivered, allowing the family to take photos afterward.

Alongside the image of the fetus, the Duggar family wrote the following message: "There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world."

Say what you will about them, the family marches to the beat of their own drum.

After the miscarriage of their 20th child last week, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar announced that they will hold a memorial service on Wednesday, December 14.

They've also given the baby girl a name: Jubilee Shalom Duggar.

The stars of TLC's 19 Kids and Counting discovered at a routine ultrasound that the child, due next April, no longer had a heartbeat and Michelle had miscarried.

"We have had many tears today," says Jim Bob Duggar, 46. "This is life, and I understand that we are going though something that many others have."

"You think about the what-ifs, but God gives us strength to go on. We won't be able to see this child's life and the phases we've seen for our other children."

"But we will see this child in heaven one day. We are thankful, and we are blessed to have the children we have here and the ones we will meet someday."

Jim Bob says they are grateful for the health of youngest daughter, Josie, who turned 2 on December 10, and who has endured serious health problems.

Jubilee Duggar's memorial service will be for their friends and the Duggar family members, who already held a private service in their home late Sunday.
