The Dixie Chicks to President Bush: You're a Dumb ... Guy

A catfight between The Dixie Chiciks and Reba McEntire? That's nothing compared with another feud with the leader of the free world.

It's been more than three years since The Dixie Chicks sparked a media controversy by announcing they were "ashamed the President of the United States is from Texas." Now, the country stars are back for more Bush bashing.

The Dixie ChicksAccording to Entertainment Weekly, one memorable scene from the documentary"Dixie Chicks: Shut Up and Sing" shows the singers watching a news report on President Bush's reaction to their infamous on-stage comment.

In the report, Bush says ''the Dixie Chicks are free to speak their mind,'' adding, ''they shouldn't have their feelings hurt just because some people don't want to buy their records when they speak out. You know, freedom is a two-way street.''

After watching this footage, Maines then repeats the president's comment and says, ''What a dumb f---.'' She then looks into the camera, as if addressing Bush himself, and reiterates, ''You're a dumb f---.''

It's hard to argue with that. It's also hard not to reiterate that the president has a man crush on Matt Lauer.

The documentary, directed by two-time Academy Award-winner Barbara Kopple, travels with the Chicks, from their peak of popularity through the now infamous anti-Bush comment.

The film is set to premiere tonight at the Toronto International Film Festival. We're assuming Canadians will agree with these ladies' views on President Bush.

We also assume they'd vote for Suri Cruise as the cutest celebrity baby. Just a guess.

A Country Catfight Between Dixie Chicks, Reba McEntire

Insults flowing from someone with a lame sitcom on the WB? We're not sure how seriously the Dixie Chicks can take criticisms from Reba McEntire, but this country catfight appears to be gaining momentum.

More Dixie Trouble The red-haired singer says she's "very disappointed" in the group for comments its made about the country music insutry, along with wel-publicized comments about President Bush.

Martie Maguire, one third of this controversial trio, told Time magazine the singers don't care very much. They prefer to attract fans who "will grow with us as we grow and are fans for life, than people that have us in their five-disc changer with Reba McEntire and Toby Keith ... We don't want those kinds of fans."

Snaps, yo. In response, Reba defended her field and those within it.

"I've never turned my back on country music," she told the CMT network. "So when somebody talks bad about my music, my family, that does not set well with me. And when you bite the hand that feeds you, I just don't think that's very nice."

Reba also said she was "very glad" the comments about her and Keith were made public because "I was ready to say that because I hope they realize that they're not doing themselves any favors."

Now, about that sitcom ...
