The Biggest Loser trainer Bob Harper admits that he was as shocked as anyone when he saw Rachel Frederickson walk out during Tuesday's finale.

"I was stunned. That would be the word. I mean, we've never had a contestant come in at 105 lbs.," he says in an interview on the Rachael Ray Show.

Rachel Frederickson, 24, started the show at 260 lbs. Yes, 260.

When she left as a finalist three months ago to work on losing weight at home, she was 150 lbs. Between then and the finale, she lost 45 more.

It was the latter that shocked Jillian Michaels and her Biggest Loser trainer counterparts as much as it did longtime fans of the popular NBC competition.

"What people don't understand is, when the contestants leave to go home … they're in charge of themselves," says Harper, 48, of the show's process.

"So, I had not seen her until that night, and so when she walked out, I was just kind of like, whoa. And I’ve been on the show since the beginning, forever."

When Rachel Frederickson left The Biggest Loser ranch, her goal was to keep the weight off and then some. She succeeded, to put things mildly.

Returning to the show 45 lbs. lighter than she left it, for a total weight loss of 155 lbs., the spotlight is now focused on whether she is too skinny.

Currently a size 0/2 and 105 lbs., Rachel Frederickson herself briefly addressed the controversy that has erupted following her amazing transformation.

"First and foremost, my goals are to be healthy and strong," the former competitive swimmer said about the backlash her slender frame has caused.

"I'm an athlete," she added. "I've been an athlete since I was a little girl. And I went on The Biggest Loser journey to find that confidence that I lost."

Asked about her diet and exercise regimen, The Biggest Loser winner said:

Despite criticism from The Biggest Loser viewers for losing too much weight, Rachel Frederickson says she did it in a healthy way and she's proud of it.

The 24-year-old was crowned The Biggest Loser winner Tuesday night after going from 260 pounds to 105 pounds, a stunning loss of 155 pounds.

That's 60 percent of her weight going in, and given her 5'5" height, Rachel Frederickson was criticized by many watching (and tweeting) for being anorexic.

She, however, is not paying attention to this.

Rachel insists that she makes "super healthy" choices, and eats no more than 1,600 calories a day that includes a combination of carbs, fat and protein.

"I worked out a ton," she said on a media conference call. "I followed the advice and supervision of the medical team at The Biggest Loser the entire journey."

"I'm extremely proud of the way I lost the weight," Rachel continued. "It's okay to have your own path and be different ... it's been pretty empowering."

Meanwhile, Biggest Loser trainers Jillian Michaels and Bob Harper, who were noticeably stunned Tuesday, broke their silence on Rachel's weight loss.

Fans weren't the only ones shocked by The Biggest Loser winner Rachel Frederickson's weight loss. Jillian Michaels herself was at a loss for words.

The personal trainer appeared flabbergasted by Frederickson's 155-pound weight loss (from 260 to 105) on the show's season 15 finale on Tuesday.

When the 24-year-old former high school swimmer walked out onstage for the first time since leaving the ranch last fall ... this was Jill's reaction:

Michaels could be seen mouthing "Oh my God" after looking at Rachel Frederickson. Several times, in fact, before NBC's camera panned away.

Shrinking from 260 pounds and a size 20 to 105 pounds and a size 0/2, she beat fellow finalists David Brown and Bobby Saleem for the $250,000 prize.

"It's crazy!" the 5-foot-4 reality star said. "But it's not about that. [My body] is absolutely the prize ... to have this energy and to feel alive means the world."

"I lost that athlete, I lost that inner confidence, that self-worth. Throughout the season I started to find that girl again, and at the triathlon, [she] was there.

Rachel Frederickson, 24, won The Biggest Loser and the NBC show's $250,000 grand prize Tuesday night. By definition, The Biggest Loser lost a ton of weight.

Some are saying too much weight. The Biggest Loser winner promptly sparked criticism from viewers who say the show went too far by allowing this.

Frederickson started the competition at 260 pounds and lost 155 pounds, or almost 60 percent of her body weight. The stats speak for themselves:

Last night, Frederickson appeared dramatically and surprisingly thinner than the last time viewers saw her, even by The Biggest Loser standards.

Trainers Bob Harper and Jillian Michaels seemed to be clapping in slow motion as they looked Rachel over, their eyes appearing to reflect shock.

Rachel, a competitive high school swimmer, gave up a college scholarship to follow a boyfriend to Europe, then ate her way through their breakup.

Earlier in the season, Frederickson said that winning the show would allow her to reclaim the champion within and embrace an empowered new future.

She echoed that theme last night, but did she go too far?

On The Biggest Loser, losing is winning, and winning big.

With a $250,000 prize on the line, three very contestants took to the scale one last time Tuesday on the finale of the popular, inspirational program.

Bobby Saleem, 28, epitomized the "second chances" theme of the 15th season of the NBC weight-loss competition as the biggest at-home loser.

Rachel Frederickson, a 24-year-old voice-over artist from L.A., and David Brown, a 42-year-old project manager from Edmond, Okla., also made the finals.

So who finally emerged victorious?

While all three finalists boasted really impressive weight loss totals, it was Rachel who shed the highest percentage of her body weight, having dropped 155 lbs.

Ending the season at just 105 lbs., she is The Biggest Loser!

NBC has aired 15 seasons full of success stories on The Biggest Loser since 2004, but once the cameras stopped rolling, where those stories still successful?

A new installment of "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" follows up with some of the reality stars to see how their lives have changed since the experience ...

One star who definitely kept it off? Julie Hadden. And not with the help of Jillian Michaels cheating. Just kidding. Sorry. Low blow. Anyway, back to Julie.

On The Biggest Loser Season 4, she came in second place by dropping 97 pounds. In the years since then, Julie went on to battle infertility issues.

She finally got pregnant at age 40, and is now happy stay-at-home mother of three, as well as an author and public speaker who inspires others.

A cheating scandal has rocked The Biggest Loser.

On last night's episode of the weight loss competition, Alison Sweeney announced that Jillian Michaels had been caught breaking the rules and, consequently, last week's results have now been invalidated.

In other words: welcome back to the show, former American Idol winner Ruben Studdard!

Studdard was eliminated last Tuesday, but will return to the program next week with an unexpected fresh start.
