The Bachelorette's Sean Lowe gets his first one-on-one date with Emily Maynard this week, and it goes well apparently. The group date? Mmmnotsomuch.

Tonight's episode, taking place in England, features Sean getting to know our girl on a double-decker bus, Buckingham Palace and the Tower Of London.

Not bad for a first date. But it's their personalities that really made it work.

"It was the first opportunity I had to spend the entire day with her and I'm not ashamed to say it was one of the best days of my life," Lowe said.

"That was the day that I first knew I had really strong feelings for her and the first time I pictured myself being with her in the future."

Lowe believes they hit it off because of shared values: "I let her know [that] from the very beginning, and she could tell I was being genuine."

"My priorities in life are faith and family, and I believe those are the top two for Emily, as well. Ultimately, I just want to live a simple life surrounded by loved ones, raising a family and loving my wife forever."

How far will Lowe make it? The Bachelorette spoilers we've posted offer some clues in that department, but he seems like a serious contender.

As for the guy who refers to Emily's daughter Ricki as "baggage" tonight? Prepare for some fireworks, says Lowe of the much-anticipated fight.

The Bachelorette he-diva Kalon McMahon says all the right things, but he's lying non-stop to Emily Maynard, according to people close to him.

Given the history of the "luxury brand consultant," a friend warns Emily that she should see Kalon's sweet nothings for just that ... nothing.

None other than Erica Rose, a 2006 contestant on The Bachelor, grew up with Kalon in Texas and says the red flags are already flying high.

  • We WILL Accept This Rose

"Emily should really take anything he says with a grain of salt," says the aptly-named Rose, who resurfaced last summer on Bachelor Pad.

"And if she wants to know why, all she has to do is see how he lied to his girlfriend back in Houston - just like he's lying to Emily now."

Star recently published Kalon's (alleged) raunchy 2009 personal "diary" detailing his womanizing and partying ... big surprise right there.

Late the following year, he began what appeared to be a serious romance with law student Lauren Serice, 25, after they met on a blind date.

Is Emily Maynard really as sweet and down-to-earth as she seems on The Bachelorette? Probably, but that doesn't make for good celebrity gossip!

That's got to be the rationale for Us Weekly’s most recent issue, which touts “shocking secrets” about Maynard, the 26-year-old single mom.

They have four major claims, which we break down below:

Emily Maynard Us Weekly Cover
  1. Nose job, breast implants, fake teeth, etc. "Sources" say she went under the knife prior to taping Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor in 2010.
  2. She's a temperamental b!tch: “Maynard has admitted that her relationship with Brad post-Bachelor was marred by 'knock-down, drag-out fights.'"
  3. She and Ricki’s grandparents hate each other: The late Ricky Hendrick’s parents are “livid” Maynard decided to do a second round of reality TV.
  4. She's kind of a social-climbing snob: “Emily is a bit of a social climber” who's dated "some heavy hitters" and enjoys the finer things in life.

All in all, kind of a non-story. She’s naturally gorgeous, even if she wears too much make-up, and couples fight sometimes. Brad's no picnic either.

As for her telling Kalon McMahon to hit the bricks, if someone called your kid “baggage,” well, you aren't a b!tch for snapping back. You're human.

Ricky's parents hating her? Who knows. It's not hard to believe there's tension or they don't like her going on The Bachelorette for obvious reasons.

And wow, Emily Maynard has money and has dated famous people (including other race car drivers not named Ricky or Arie Luyendyk, Jr.)? Gasp!

Really, Us, you're stretching a little bit here.

Things are getting serious on The Bachelorette, which ran it back with another contrived, unintentionally hilarious, and over-the-top dramatic episode tonight.

Who prevailed when Emily treated eight men to a special day on the water at the Bermuda Yacht Club? Who came up empty while the winners celebrated?

Who tried to impress Em by referring to her as a possible "trophy wife" (always smart), and who actually charmed her into getting a rose at the end of the day?

Follow this link for a rundown of The Bachelorette spoilers we know now, including the (alleged) final three. Then read on for THG's +/- Bachelorette recap!

Winning the Race!

It's bright and early and Chris calls the guys together to tell them there will be three dates this week: a one-on-one, a two-on-one, and a group date. All in Bermuda. From there dates will happen at various places around the world. Plus 20.

Emily has Ricki on this international trip. And she can't wait to come back here with her husband. And possibly pregnant. AND pushing a stroller.

Simmer down, Emily's Ovaries. Minus 5.

Arie found the first card. Doug got the one-on-one date. Alejandro's jealous. I forgot Alejandro was even here. Chances are Emily did too.

All the guys are cheering and jeering at Doug and Arie says he's ready for the Bromance to end among the guys. Doug's nervous; Arie says it's easy to push his buttons. All the guys push his buttons to completely psych him out before his date with Emily. Plus 10.

Emily says she feels like she and Doug have known each other for years. Their date consists at first of walking around the town, talking, checking into shops, and eating food from street vendors. It seems like the perfect day. Plus 5.

Doug tells her that he recently started a charity to show his son that one person can change the world. Then he tells her about the awkward moment she walked into and she's impressed that he felt comfortable enough to tell her. And then they write his son a note. And I got a cavity from all the sugar dripping off the screen. Plus 10.

Beauty and the Beach

I'm not sure if "Bermudian" is a word, but Emily thinks it is. They walk through the Moon Gate and make a wish. Her wish? That she won't be single forever. Like that wasn't obvious. Minus 20.

Emily and Doug meet up for dinner. Emily thinks Doug's hiding something. His answers are always too perfect and positive. She wants to know what complaints his ex girlfriends would have, then tells him even his answers to those questions are perfect.

He turns it around on her and her flaws are that she doesn't get out of her pajamas sometimes and runs errands in them. That's when she realizes maybe she asked the wrong question. Minus 35 for the awkward dinner conversation.

It's no surprise that she gives him the rose.

Emily Maynard may or may not be the best-looking star of The Bachelorette yet, depending on your point of view, but she's absolutely the best-dressed.

A $350,000 wardrobe budget from ABC doesn't hurt.

“We had an enormous clothing budget,” Emily’s stylist, Cary Fetman, said. “It was bigger than any previous season ... and we still went over!”

Emily Maynard Bachelorette Photo

Not that she really needs help - her sweet nature, good looks and adorable daughter are all a guy would ever want - but Maynard, 26, is going all out style-wise.

“Emily has fabulous taste and was involved in deciding what we would dress her in,” Cary adds. “For me, it was almost like dressing a Barbie doll!”

While she dazzles in her strappy $1,045 Christian Louboutin Straratata heels and a $4,000 nude Randi Rahm gown, she does have a list of no-nos.

“Emily hates flats,” Cary revealed of the North Carolinan. “She loves to be a girlie girl. She loves dresses and anything glitzy and sparkly.”

Oh, and despite her easy-going ways, “She is not a jeans girl by any means.”

Just something to keep in mind, Arie Luyendyk, Jr. Keep it in mind.

The Bachelorette ran it back with another partially-contrived, unintentionally hilarious, uber-dramatic episode tonight on Memorial Day. And what an episode.

Okay, it was pretty run-of-the-mill. But between some vintage Bachelorette cliches, a romantic date with Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and some man tears, it had its moments.

After two weeks of first impressions - some good, some not - the remaining men took another shot tonight, and man oh man, things started to get REAL.

Real dumb.

Follow this link for a rundown of The Bachelorette spoilers we know now, including the (alleged) final three. Then read on for THG's +/- Bachelorette recap!

Emily Maynard, Harness

After three weeks, it's still cute that Emily's a mom. Plus 8, and Plus 4 more for the prospect of her looking as good as her mom does in her 40s.

Chris and his serial killer eyes get the first one-on-one. Minus 5 for ABC not casting him as the villain this season. Kalon's looks aren't as terrifying.

He's even wearing the Dexter shirt! Plus 4.

Minus 70 for the obligatory, recycled building-climbing date and corresponding metaphors. It is not like love, life or relationships. Please, just spare us.

Plus 7 for Chris saying she looks good in a harness though. You could see the wheels turning and Fifty Shades of Grey-esque images in his head.

Emily tells Chris he's cute. A LOT. Minus 2.

Arie Luyendyk, Jr., is doing a great job wooing Emily Maynard on The Bachelorette so far this season, but a series of strange details about his past have cast serious doubt about both his character and motives.

Are we looking at Mr. Here For the Wrong Reasons?

While none of the revelations are that scandalous, Arie's level of success this season (see The Bachelorette spoilers for more on that topic) makes them quite consequential as a serious candidate to become Emily's fiancé and Ricki’s future stepfather.

Arie Luyendyk Jr. Picture

According to reports, Bachelorette producer Cassie Lambert not only knows Arie - a race car driver and son of Indycar champion Arie Luyendyk, Sr. - she's been trying to get him on the show for years, but he kept turning it down.

That is, until this year, when and that he agreed to do it because Cassie would help him get to the end. According to Bachelorette spoiler guru Reality Steve, Arie even said, “I’m only doing it because I know I’m gonna win.”

He was extremely confident going into the show that Cassie would help him get far, because she's coached him and is the one Emily talks to daily.

How much this influenced Emily, we'll likely never know, but his relationship with Cassie Lambert played a major role in him agreeing to the show.

Amazingly, it only gets weirder from there.

The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard's #1 priority is her 6-year-old daughter, Ricki. Kalon McMahon, a.k.a. the "villain" that ABC really wants you to hate (and a bunch of the guys probably do) this season, apparently feels otherwise.

On tonight's episode, he makes his feelings about fatherhood known.

"I always had believed that my first child would be one of my own, so obviously embracing you and Ricki as a part of my life ... it's not the way I wrote it up in my journal as a kid," he boldly admits to the Charlotte, N.C. single mom.

Taken aback, Maynard asks the helicopter-riding douche to think of his own mother, who raised him as a single parent, but Kalon immediately cuts her off.

"I love it when you talk, but I wish you'd let me finish," he snaps.

That comment will put Maynard even more on edge. "I love tall, skinny and funny, but I don't love tall, skinny and condescending!" she snaps at him.

Ouch. Another hopeful, Alessandro, reportedly tells her something similar tonight: "I don't have a lot of experience with kids. You've got to teach me."

Not surprisingly, this doesn't go over well with Em:

"You see that as a compromise, not an honor? My daughter isn't a compromise ... anybody I spend the rest of my life with is going to see that as the biggest bonus ever."

Bam. Will either or both of these guys get roses tonight? Who will make it to the end this season? Follow this link for The Bachelorette spoilers we know so far.

Joe Gendreau's time to impress Emily Maynard expired this week.

Reflecting on the non-love connection that earned him a rare one-on-one date boot on The Bachelorette Monday, he said it just didn't work out.

Nothing scandalous or incendiary about it. Just didn't click.

  • Joe Gendreau, The Bachelorette
  • Emily M.

"I tried to keep the rose out of mind. I didn't want to look at it as a challenge and be like, 'I really want that rose,'" Gendreau said. "I wanted to see how my time was with her and entertain the idea of being able to hit it off with her."

"I thought it was going well, but ultimately didn't work out. We really didn't hit it off with each other. We are in different places in our lives."

"I'm a single, free-spirited individual. Emily, she is looking for someone more settled and committed to family and work."

To that effect, Joe's "five-year-plan" seemed to be his undoing.

Emily Maynard is usually one to take the high road.

The 26-year-old single mom appeared on Access Hollywood Wednesday, where she was asked, not surprisingly, about Brad Womack's recent diss of her.

Brad remarked, allegedly, that he "dodged a bullet" when their engagement ended. We'd argue that she did, but either way, that's a harsh comment.

"I haven't heard from him since filming started ... but I don't know," Emily Maynard told host Billy Bush. "At first, my feelings were really hurt."

  • Sweet Emily Maynard
  • A Brad Womack Photo

"We left everything very civil and I've never said a bad work about him. But knowing Brad, he didn't mean it that way. That's what I'm going to say."

Earlier this month, Texas bar owner Womack aid he had "zero interest" in watching his ex-fiancee court 25 suitors on ABC's The Bachelorette.

"All I'll say is she is a helluva woman and I hope it works out," Brad said.

Will it? Not for Randy Lee Woyak, Lerone Anu, Jean-Paul LaCount, David Hornyk, Brent Richter, Joe Gendreau, Kyle Dillon, Aaron Martell or Jackson Longnecker.

Em has already sent home nine of 25 men after two episodes. For a look at a few (we think) will make it to the end, read our Bachelorette spoilers page!
