This week on The Bachelorette, Desiree Hartsock will begin dating the men of season 9! Who will get the first solo date? Which of the guys will she take on a group date? Will there be man tears?

One thing's for sure, there will be a rap video with Soulja Boy.

The guys and their muscles move into the house and Chris Harrison explains the dating scenario. Any guy who doesn't get a rose on a one-on-one date is going home immediately.

The lucky winner of the first one-on-one date is Brooks! He looks a lot like Steve Howey so I have trouble taking him seriously. Des doesn't though, so good for her.

She picks him up in her baby blue Bentley and instead of letting him drive, she takes the wheel. Plus 8.

After being dumped by Sean Lowe during the hometown dates, beautiful brunette Desiree Hartsock is back and looking for love.

And a best friend to share life with her. And probably a little fame, too. (If this doesn't pan out, maybe she has a career as a rap artist?)

But hey, with 25 handsome and successful men flying in from all over for the chance to drink a lot of booze, spill some man tears, start some drama, all in the quest to win her hand, can we really blame her?

The Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live the other night, and it was a bit awkward ... which is standard for Des.

Still, it began to encroach into awkward awkward ... not cute awkward.

Obviously, she's not gonna give away The Bachelorette spoilers or anything. But when Jimmy started asking her about Sean Lowe? A tad uncomfortable:

Meredith Phillips, a former model and star of The Bachelorette in 2004 (it's been on that long), is opening up to People about her battle with alcoholism.

Phillips can't help but complain about the 10 lbs. she'd like to lose, as she's the first to admit she's a little hard on herself. But she also has perspective.

"I need to get back in the gym. I should really be taking better care of myself," she says. "But I really can only focus on one thing at a time right now."

Her primary focus has been far more challenging than logging time on a treadmill. Until six months ago, Phillips, 39, was in the throes of alcoholism.

Desiree Hartsock rapping is kind of adorable but also really awkward, and she does so alongside Soulja Boy in a special Bachelorette music video.

Yes, we're serious. Not exactly earth-shattering Bachelorette spoilers here, but she and a bunch of suitors recorded this on the season's first group date.

Take a look, and try not to cringe too noticeably:

Remember Emily O'Brien, from Ben Flajnik's season? That girl could RAP. Desiree Hartsock? Not so much. We've seen THG's interns do better.

Then again, that's Des for you. She was always a little bit awkward, not your stereotypical pulled-together girl, which is why we love her so hard.

On the other hand, one of the guys dresses up like Jason Mesnick's son, Chris Harrison appears at the end, and Soulja Boy's career is apparently over.

So it's not without merit. Call this one a wash.

Will Desiree Hartsock find love on ABC this summer?

You'll have to check out The Bachelorette spoilers to find out, and we won't know for sure until August 5, but all signs point to yes right now.

Although she would not say if her journey ended in jewelry, Desiree Hartsock discussed her 25 suitors, her strategies and surviving Sean Lowe.

On her strategy: "I was able to put myself in the guys' shoes to understand what they were feeling. I tried to take every day separately and really focus on each relationship."

The Bachelorette star Desiree Hartsock says she has a good idea what she's after - and what she wants to avoid - when her quest for love kicks off May 27.

"I like someone who's spontaneous, adventurous and enjoys every aspect of life," says the 26-year-old, who vied for Sean Lowe's heart on The Bachelor.

"And, not to get too serious, but someone who could be my best friend and a support system, someone who I can see as the father of my kids."

She does not have to look far for inspiration.

"My parents have been together 40 years and married for 35," she says. "My dad has her back no matter what. She's so affectionate to him. They act like they are 16."
