ABC has released, in the form of a season overview, more details of Emily Maynard's search for love, commencing Monday, May 14 on The Bachelorette.

While kicking things off in her hometown of Charlotte, Emily will travel to Dubrovnik, Croatia; Prague, Czech Republic; and London, England this summer.

The 26-year-old former Bachelor winner first meets her 25 suitors at a southern mansion for a cocktail party after putting six-year-old daughter Ricki to bed.

Several of Maynard's bachelors will attempt to make memorable first impressions during their arrivals as always ... that's par for the course on this show.

Think actual glass slippers being presented, dudes riding in on skateboards, a party MC who breaks down into dance, and a gesture from a true southern gentleman who gives Emily something to symbolize how he'd protect her and Ricki.

In addition, Maynard will also encounter one suitor who makes a grand entrance in a helicopter ... is it Brad Womack? Is it Bentley Williams? No and no.

The promos always mislead you that way ...

Outspoken comedian Sarah Silverman has harsh words for women to choose to compete on The Bachelor, calling the enterprise "offensive" and degrading.

While being interviewed on the debut episode of Amanda de Cadenet's The Conversation Thursday night, the conversation turned to the ABC reality show.

She is not a fan.

"I'll tell you what's offensive about these shows... that are on ABC during prime time," she said. "Twenty-five women in JCPenney prom dresses, fully grown, going, 'He took us to a castle!' No he didn't. Producers procured a castle."

"And there's 25 of you, that's how special you aren't," she added.

Silverman, who recently sparked controversy with this abortion tweet, says that the real problem with the show is not that adults watch and make fun of it, but that young, impressionable girls think what they're seeing is worth emulating.

Emily Maynard, the single mom who captured America's heart on The Bachelor, is back! She's The Bachelorette! In a newly-released promo for the new season (premiering Monday, May 14), we get our first look at the Southern Belle's reality TV return.

She may have to kiss a lot of frogs, but she will find her prince charming.

This season, evidently, will keep us guessing from the opening night. We're guessing that neither Brad Womack nor Bentley Williams arriving in the chopper, however. Crafty and misleading editing by the producers? Already in mid-season form.

Emily Maynard debuts as The Bachelorette May 14, and we're starting to piece together the coming season of the long-running ABC guilty pleasure.

The Bachelorette spoilers revealed thus far show that the men competing from Emily mostly range in age from 25-35, and are Caucasian. Shocker!

She'll meet a teacher, a gym owner, a model, a bunch of of executives, a big-name race car driver (seriously) and a Jef with one "f" (also seriously).

Emily Maynard, 25, won Brad Womack's season of The Bachelor, but that didn't work out. She bested Ashley Hebert, the previous Bachelorette star.

As he did then, Reality Steve has been digging like a madman for spoilers on the upcoming season for those of us who can't wait until the summer.

What has he found out through his mysterious unnamed sources? Quite a bit, and his track record would suggest it's more than a little accurate.

The producers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are not exactly coming up roses in a new lawsuit from two African-Americans who auditioned last year.

They were turned down, allegedly, because of their race.

According to court papers, the two plaintiffs went to a Nashville hotel to audition, either as The Bachelor star or as contestants on The Bachelorette.

Christopher Johnson, an aspiring NFL player, claims when he arrived a producer asked him what he was doing there ... then shunned from the process.

Johnson and the other plaintiff, Nathaniel Claybrooks, both say they were taken to the side of the room and left out of the normal audition process.

Neither was called back, they say because of race. In 20+ seasons, there has never been a black Bachelor (which Lamar Hurd seeks to change) or Bachelorette.

They will be filing a class action lawsuit in federal court Wednesday morning. ABC, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss, will all be sued.

A beacon of diversity, The Bachelorette returns Monday, May 14, with 25 white guys doing their best to woo beautiful white girl Emily Maynard.

Emily Maynard, the lovely, sweet, young mom who captured America's and Brad Womack's heart on The Bachelor last year, stars as The Bachelorette on May 14.

Unfortunately (and obviously), her relationship with Brad ended, along with the dream of moving to Austin with her daughter, Ricki, and starting a family there.

But when one door closes, another opens, and now that she's the one doling out roles on ABC's hit show, she's ready to seek love she richly deserves yet again.

It's hard to meet men as a single mom ... typically. Emily Maynard will have her pick of 25 when she gets a second opportunity as the eighth Bachelorette.

Supposedly, there are some big changes this season. Namely, the show will relocate to her hometown of Charlotte, N.C., and producers won't be casting huge d-bags simply to f--k with the star. Sorry about that, Ashley Hebert.

Emily Maynard as The Bachelorette: Good choice?

The Bachelorette's newly-minited star, Emily Maynard, was spotted bonding in L.A. with two women who have been in her shoes: Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert!

The reality star joined Ali and Ashley for a makeup appointment and some chitchat at Blushington Makeup & Beauty Lounge in West Hollywood ... obviously.

According to a source, the ladies were talking about the ABC reality show, wth Ali Fedotowsky and Ashley Hebert giving Maynard advice about what to expect.

"All three ladies got along so great," a source says.

"The ladies were really cute together; they joked around and ... were all in very good moods – energetic and excited about being in each other's company."

After the makeup session, the women filmed a promo for Emily Maynards Bachelorette season to air during the February 27 episode of The Bachelor.

While The Bachelor spoilers this season have people buzzing as always, there's no need to spoil this one: ABC has confirmed Emily Maynard as its Bachelorette.

"It really hasn't hit me, what I signed on to do," she says. "I'm scared to death."

Last June when Maynard and The Bachelor's Brad Womack ended their engagement, she swore she "had no intentions of ever being the next Bachelorette."

"I genuinely meant that," the 25-year-old explains, admitting that given her reversal,. "I feel like the biggest hypocrite because I said that and now I'm doing it."

What changed her mind? Believing in the process, even if she and Brad split.

"I know it can work," Emily Maynard says. "I fell in love the first time and no, we didn't get married, but in the end just falling in love, for me, is a success."

The show will film in Charlotte, N.C., where Maynard is raising daughter Ricki, 6, as well as in other locations - where it sounds like Ricki will go as well.

ABC finally confirmed the news we've been all but sure of for over a week: Emily Maynard is getting her second shot at love on The Bachelorette in 2012!

The 25-year-old single mom from North Carolina, will footsteps of Ashley Hebert ... who she bested for Brad Womack's love on The Bachelor last spring.

Maynard, who went on to split with Brad last summer, will begin filming in March, a source said, adding, "She's looking for a man ... not a little boy."

An interesting comment, since Brad is more than a decade older than Em.

The West Virginia native, who resides in Charlotte, N.C., with her 6-year-old daughter Ricki, was previously engaged to NASCAR driver and owner Ricky Hendrick.

He died in a plane crash in October 2004 while Maynard was pregnant, but before she even realized it. She went on to name their daughter after her late fiance.

"Emily’s strength, passion and southern charm - as a mother and as a woman - would make anyone happy to make her his wife," ABC says in a press release.

"She found love again with Brad and, even though it didn’t work out, she realized that the series can work. Among those 25 men, she is looking for someone who makes her laugh, doesn’t take himself too seriously and can be her best friend."

"Emily Maynard is hoping that the third time is the charm."
