The Bachelorette Gossip

Attention, Bachelorette Fans: E-mail Jason Mesnick!

A single father from Washington State broadcasts his relationship status to the country only to be swamped with letters from adoring female fans.

Sleepless in Seattle, it's not. But Jason Mesnick, a.k.a. the nice guy DeAnna Pappas shot down in favor of Jesse Csincsak on The Bachelorette season finale, may be an even bigger hit with ladies than the Tom Hanks flick.

The 32-year-old single father (his son Ty is 3) has set up a new email account for any fans wishing to contact him.

“I’ve gotten thousands of comments from fans,” Jason Mesnick said.

“The generosity and the kindness is unbelievable. Every one is so sweet and nice. All the comments are pure love.”

After DeAnna Pappas told him in the finale that her “heart is somewhere else,” Jason Mesnick fans overloaded his MySpace account with comments and bombarded ABC with email. Producers finally set up a separate e-mail account just for him.

Which Bachelor or Bachelorette Will Get Married First?

So far, no Bachelor couple has made it to the altar (Bachelorette Trista Sutter has). But the show's latest lovebirds are determined to be first.

There is no wedding date set, she's a total basket case and he already moved out of her apartment in L.A., but a source close to Shayne Lamas (her dad, Lorenzo!) says she and Matt Grant remain on track for a wedding.

Will Matt and Shayne beat this season's newly-engaged Bachelorette stars, DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak, to the altar? For what it's worth, DeAnna and Jesse have already set a date: May 9, 2009. What do you think?

Jason Mesnick Reflects on Bachelorette Rejection

Following his stunning ouster Monday night, Jason Mesnick believes DeAnna Pappas altered what she was looking for during The Bachelorette.

"I could say that the one thing that I thought throughout the whole process was if she was ready for what she said she was ready from Day One, [DeAnna Pappas] would have picked me," Jason Mesnick said this week.

"But if it turned out she wasn't or things changed throughout the process and she wasn't sure if she was ready for the family, then she'd go with [Jesse Csincsak] instead. We saw what she did."

That's exactly what she did.

To the surprise and dismay of some readers, DeAnna Pappas chose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick (above), a 31-year-old account executive and single father from Kirkland, Wash., during Monday evening's Bachelorette season finale.

"I know more than anybody that people can change and you can learn more about yourself through an experience," Mesnick said.

"Do I think she led me on? I don't know. Maybe a little bit. But I really don't fault her for it at all anymore."

Jesse Csincsak and DeAnna Pappas: The Interview

On the edge of its collective seat, America tuned in to The Bachelorette to see if DeAnna Pappas would make the obvious choice in Jason Mesnick.

Instead, she opted for Jesse Csincsak.

Many fans believe DeAnna Pappas' decision was the wrong one, but it matters little at this point, as the laid-back snowboarder from Colorado ultimately won the heart of the Southern belle famously rejected by Brad Womack.

Yesterday, in the aftermath of the stunning season finale, the engaged DeAnna and Jesse (save the date - 5/9/09!) spoke to Entertainment Weekly ...

EW: What was your favorite moment of the show?
DeAnna Pappas: My engagement!
Jesse Csincsak: The second I proposed and she looked at me and said yes and I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with this woman.

EW: People always say big moments in life, like engagements, are often remembered as a blur. Any one thing that sticks out?
DeAnna Pappas: My favorite about that entire moment when he proposed to me is that nothing else around us mattered. Even though there were cameras everywhere, crew, producers, nothing else mattered. It felt like it was just the two of us.
Jesse Csincsak: Something that stands out to me that's funny is at the very end of last night's show when she goes, "I can't believe I am marrying the guy with the pink shoelaces!" That cracks me up.

EW: Now that the circus is over, what's on the agenda?
DeAnna Pappas: I think we're just focused on doing the normal stuff. We want to go to dinner, and we're dying just to go grocery shopping together. We just want to be in public together.

Face-Off: Did DeAnna Pappas Make the Right Decision?

Jesse Csincsak. Jason Mesnick. The stunning Bachelorette finale last night, in which Jesse was chosen over Jason by the lovely DeAnna Pappas, has sparked massive reader responses - and is the subject of this afternoon's Face-Off ...

DID DEANNA PAPPAS CHOOSE THE BEST MAN IN JESSE CSINCSAK?

YES by mischalova

Kids can be awfully cute (see Rossdale, Kingston). But they can also create enormous amounts of pressure, causing certain third basemen to stray from marriage and have sex with exotic dancers named Candice Houlihan.

This is relevant to Deanna Pappas' decision to choose Jesse Csincsak over Jason Mesnick because the latter Bachelorette contender has a child. While this may endear him to many readers, it was an obvious turn-off to Deanna.

And isn't it her right to make that decision for herself, people?

Following her heart-wrenching, public rejection by Brad Womack, Deanna was still willing to put herself out there, still willing to open herself up to America in her quest for a soul mate. That takes guts.

Know what else takes guts? Earning a living as a professional snowboarder, the field chosen by Jesse Csincsak. It's an industry ripe with potential injury, yet not with a guaranteed monthly paycheck.

Sounds a lot like reality television star, doesn't it?

So instead of questioning Deanna Pappas' selection of Jesse, I'm here to praise it. Let's just hope one can avoid pain on the slopes of Colorado, while the other can avoid further pain in her heart.

The Bachelorette Finale: DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak Engaged; Jason Mesnick Heartbroken

On the season finale of The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas shocked America (and Jason Mesnick) by getting engaged to Jesse Csincsak.

Devastated and shell-shocked after his rejection, Jason headed home in his limo alone as DeAnna met Jesse at the final rose ceremony.

Jesse proceeded to get down on one knee to ask DeAnna if she would like to spend forever with him and our girl happily accepted.

DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak announced on the post-show special of The Bachelorette that they are engaged and will get married May 9, 2009.

We don't think Jason Mesnick will be invited.

After the show, Jason had the chance to confront DeAnna for the first time since the fourth season of the show ended. The awesome single dad from Washington State said that he is, without a doubt, still in love with her.

DeAnna Pappas Picks ... Jesse Csincsak?!

Nice guys really do finish last.

In a bit of a stunner tonight on The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas rejected wonderful single dad Jason Mesnik - the superior candidate by almost any measure - instead opting for goofy "professional snowboarder" Jesse Csincsak (pictured).

In typical Bachelorette fashion, viewers were led to believe Jason Mesnick - a loving father to three-year-old Ty and a grounded businessman from Washington - had it locked up, outshining his competition throughout and charming her family.

But it was Jesse Csincsak who DeAnna Pappas chose - and is engaged to.

DeAnna Pappas: One Engaged, Happy Bachelorette

DeAnna Pappas said she loves surprises, and she's got a big one coming our way Monday night on the finale of The Bachelorette.

After Brad Womack rejected both DeAnna and Jenni Croft on the 11th season of The Bachelor, and Kristy Morgan just won A Shot at Love - only to turn around and spurn Tila Tequila - what reality TV stunner is in store now?

Rumors are flying that she's going to get engaged to BOTH Jason Mesnik and Jesse Csincsak and join the FLDS cult in Eldorado, Texas.

Just kidding.

"This is a good surprise," the beautiful DeAnna Pappas said, describing herself as "very happy, in love and engaged."

"This is a happy ending, and a good surprise. I don't want anyone to know because I want everyone to watch. When you see the final episode, you're going to laugh and you're going to cry. It's just a beautiful episode."

Pappas said it's been "almost three months" since The Bachelorette finale filmed and she chose between Washington single father Jason Mesnick (top), 31, and Jesse Csincsak, 25, a professional snowboarder from Colorado.

DeAnna describes Mesnick and Csincsak as "two totally different people," and said she's a "different person when I'm with each one of them."

DeAnna Pappas Dispatches Two More

In last night's episode of The Bachelorette, the night was split into two parts - DeAnna Tells All, where she fills us in on some behind-the-scenes stuff, including how Trista and Ryan Sutter are doing, then the actual episode.

With only four spots open for hometown dates next week, the competition for the affections of DeAnna Pappas heated up between the six remaining men - all of whom were headed to an exclusive resort in Palm Springs.

Once they arrived, DeAnna Pappas headed out first on a 1-on-1 date with Sean. Feeling a connection with him, she ends up inviting him back to her room after dinner for a little dessert and she ends up kissing him. OMG!

DeAnna Pappas: Start Your Engines!

Man, this girl looks great in any outfit - and any capacity.

Last night on The Bachelorette, DeAnna Pappas assumed the role of pit crew chief as her aspiring husbands took the racetrack.

One by one, the guys took a lap at the speedway and tried to get the best speed and time, thus earning a special date with D.

The Bachelorette's DeAnna Pappas is a natural when it comes to auto racing. Or at least wearing the clothes that one of the pit crew chiefs might don.
