Shayne Lamas won the final rose on the The Bachelor Monday when Matt Grant got down on one knee and proposed to the 22-year-old fame-seeking ditz aspiring actress with a 2.85-carat Tacori platinum and diamond eternity ring.

The soon-to-be-wed couple spoke to Us Weekly about falling in love on reality TV, e-mailing 50 times a day and their wedding plans:

Us: Let's talk about the happy news and how you're feeling. Matt what made you choose Shayne on The Bachelor finale?

Shayne Dahl Lamas

Shayne Lamas and Matt Grant: Together for at least a few months.

Matt Grant: Well, from really early on it was obvious that Shayne and I had chemistry, a natural rapport. Everything was just always a pleasure to be around her. I always at ease and it always felt that we were at ease. If anything, it was just almost the point feeling negative from it was that she's too good to be true. It's funny cause I kept saying to myself, off set, at my hotel, it's almost too good to be true - quite the negative. I realized there really wasn't any that we did just spin it. It's just kind of funny when you don't expect that when you meet someone on reality TV.

Shayne Lamas: I feel the same way.

Us: Obviously the chemistry between you two was pretty obvious throughout the entire the series, I would say. How are you both feeling now?

That took a whole 12 hours.

She may be engaged, but The Bachelor winner Shayne Lamas â€" who got a ring last night â€" isn't saving everything for future hubby Matt Grant.

She's appearing on the cover of Girls Gone Wild magazine. Classy.

In a sizzling six-page photo spread, Shayne Lamas, 22, reveals details of her time on the ABC reality show. She admits that she jumped on board The Bachelor in order to seek true fame and racy photo spreads love.

"It's what every girl wants," she says in the chat, characterizing her fiancé, Matt Grant, as being "very casual [and] respectful of women."

One day after winning The Bachelor, Shayne Lamas is cashing in!

Girls Gone Wild sleaze-bag publisher Joe Francis says Lamas' appeal is easy to sum up: "Shayne has a genuine ‘girl next door' quality," he said in a press release.

"And she also happens to be very hot."

Don't expect to see Shayne Lamas nude, though. Her Girls Gone Wild photo spread, while sizzling, features no naked pictures. Probably no o-faces either.

Chelsea had a good run, but as this Hollywood Gossip editor concluded in yesterday's Face-Off, Shayne Lamas was simply out of her league.

After 10 weeks, Matt Grant had narrowed the field down to two, and despite some tough moments with his family, it was an easy call - Shayne Lamas.

At the final rose ceremony, Chelsea was the first out of the limo, which is never a good sign. Matt told her she's amazing, and this experience would not be the same without her... BUT it's just not gonna work out long-term.

Upset at the rejection, Chelsea lashed out at Matt Grant and called Shayne "the fakest person" on The Bachelor. Matt wasn't pleased with this.

But he had more important business to attend to - like getting engaged! He tells Shayne Lamas that he came here for true love and found it with her. Matt then got down on one knee and shocked Shayne by proposing to her.

Matt Grant, Shayne Lamas

Shayne Lamas: Such a warm, caring, fame-seeking soul.

She happily answered yes. Lots of kissing and squealing followed. They said "I love you" approximately 74 times. Her hair was in her eyes. We cried a little.

Below are photos of some of the magic moments last night, with Matt Grant agonizing over his decision, told Chelsea the unexpected bad news, and then popped the question to our girl Shayne Lamas. Click to enlarge!

The season finale of The Bachelor is tonight, and Shayne Lamas looks poised to land the prize. That being Matt Grant. But will Chelsea stand in her way? That's the subject of today's Face-Off. Brace yourself as The Hollywood Gossip debates ...

WILL SHAYNE LAMAS WIN THE HEART OF THE BACHELOR, MATT GRANT?

YES by Free Britney

Face it, no one goes on The Bachelor for love.

It would a nice side effect, to be sure, if one found the love of one's life. But the women and the bachelors themselves go on the show because primarily, they are enamored with fame, at least to a certain extent.

If Matt Grant merely wanted to find love, he'd join a local London-based service, or go online to millionaireloves.com or one of the many other crappy dating sites that spams The Hollywood Gossip constantly.

NOTE: Get a new career, millionaireloves.com spammers.

No, he wanted to date hot women on TV, and Shayne Lamas fits the Bachelor bill better than anyone in the show's history - entertaining, reasonably hot, ethically questionable and shamelessly trying to be famous.

Shayne Lamas' listed profession is "actress." Now that the 22-year-old has her first taste of fame, she'll stop at nothing to remain in the spotlight.

She'll laugh at the right jokes, appear adventurous and fun, cry if things don't go well, go down on Matt in a movie theater, probably even murder her competition if she has to. Long story short, Chelsea has no shot.

This can't be a good sign for Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas.

A former star of The Bachelor, Andy Baldwin, and his girlfriend, Donald Trump ex-wife Marla Maples broke up, he tells the Washington Post.

The Bad News is Coming

Lt. Andy Baldwin's recent move to Washington, D.C., to take a job as an advocate for Navy Medicine, put a strain on their relationship.

"The big move coupled with the long distance relationship wasn't working for us so I decided we were better off as friends," Baldwin says. "We were friends, it got romantic for a little while, but we're just friends."

Marla Maples and Andy Baldwin met late lasst year and spent the New Year's and Easter holidays together in Hawaii, where he had been living.

He was engaged to Tessa Horst, who won the final rose on The Bachelor, but like all other relationships on that show, it didn't last long.

Last night on The Bachelor, Matt Grant took all three of the remaining women to Barbados. At the end of their dates, Matt would send one home, leaving only two in the running to be his trophy ex-fiancee.

Matt first met up with Shayne Lamas and they took a spin on some jet skis. They also bounced around on a floating trampoline and took a swim in the ocean. Shayne showed off her splits and straddling skills. Really.

At dinner, he invited her to spend the night with him up in the suite. After thinking about it for a split second, Shayne Lamas said yes.

Next, Matt headed out on his date with Amanda - an exciting zip line ride through the jungle. At dinner, Amanda really puts her heart out on the line, so Matt Grant can see how much she cares about him.

She tells him that she can't picture life without him and Matt Grant hands her the fantasy suite card. She, too, eagerly says yes.

Finally, Matt Grant meets up with Chelsea and the two head out on a boat ride. She keeps her distance from him for some reason.

At dinner, he tells her this is starting to feel more like a friendship. Chelsea quickly tells him that she really does care for him. She accepts the fantasy suite card and shows up wearing nothing but a black nightie.

At the rose ceremony, Matt gave the first rose to Shayne Lamas and, in a bit of a shocker, the second to Chelsea. Fare thee well, Amanda.

Last night on The Bachelor, Matt Grant visited the families of all four remaining fame-whores aspiring trophy-wives beautiful contestants.

With Shayne Lamas, that amounted to two visits, as her folks are divorced. Matt Grant got to meet action star Lorenzo Lamas, sure. But he was pretty normal, all things considered. The real action came from mother Michele Smith.

Let's just say that Shayne's mom looks like she's been going Heidi Montag style on her own face for the past, oh, 20 years or so. Honestly? Is she even human? Matt Grant has a hell of a poker face for not running away or even flinching ...

Shayne Lamas: The Mother!

What Shayne Lamas may look like after 20 years and/or plastic surgeries.

Somehow - we're guessing the producers aren't involved at all - Shayne Lamas has made it all the way to the final three on The Bachelor. Think Matt Grant is actually going to even consider picking the nut job as his fiancee, though?

We sincerely doubt it, although we certainly hope we're wrong.

Last night on The Bachelor, Matt Grant met the family of Shayne Lamas - as well as the families of her competition, Chelsea, Noelle, and Amanda.

Matt visited Shayne Lamas' family first and meets her parents separately, since they are divorced. Sadly, A.J. Lamas does not appear.

When she meets her quasi-famous dad, Lorenzo Lamas, he blurts out to Matt Grant that Shayne was just interested in getting on TV when she decided to go on The Bachelor. We're startled to hear this revelation, competely.

Shayne quickly tries to defend herself, saying that she is only there for him. It seems to be good enough for both Matt Grant and for her father Lorenzo, who appreciate what she has to say about herself and her feelings.

Lamas, Shayne

Would Shayne Lamas receive one of the final three roses on this night?

On his date with Chelsea, Matt explains to her family just how serious he is about finding love. After a nice, relaxing meal, Matt heads out - but not before Chelsea says she is falling for him and enjoys time with him.

With Noelle, the two go hiking and ride horses in Colorado. Very pretty. Noelle's family is approving of Matt, but ask tough questions, and Matt is forced to admit that he is falling in love with her - but also with more than one woman.

Finally, Matt Grant visits Amanda, who in a colossal prank, hired actors to play her parents. Her father asked uncomfortable questions as her mother tried to hit on him. When the gag was revealed, Matt was a good sport.

At the rose ceremony, Matt gave roses to Shayne Lamas, then to Amanda and lastly to Chelsea. Matt decided to eliminate Noelle, feeling that their connection came too late. She took the news well by Bachelor standards.

As warm weather begins to coat the east coast in sunshine, so does the television dial begin to heat the hearts of viewers with new and exciting programming.

Because we aim to deliver more than just mundane celebrity gossip, here's our look at what couch potatoes can sit back and enjoy this evening:

Gossip Girl: It's back!!! Without the backstabbing actions of Blair, the shady shenanigans of Chuck and the uber-hotness of Serena, our lives have felt emptier over the past few months than K-Fed's bank account after a late-night trip to Scores in Las Vegas; or Heidi Montag's soul; or a Fiji water bottle on a sweltering afternoon in LA.

Tremendous metaphors aside, the point remains: Gossip Girl is back tonight with new episodes. We're giddier than Kim Kardashian at a sale for extra large thongs.

Dancing with the Stars: Despite the fact that Kristi Yamguchi is a heavier favorite on this show than either David Cook or David Archuleta on American Idol, we still tune in every night. Our dream is for a staffer from The Hollywood Gossip to be included on Dancing with the Stars one day.

We'd rumba circles around Perez Hilton.

The Bachelor: How will Shayne Lamas embarrass herself this week? How many swoons and tears will Matt Grant be responsible for over a period of one hour? So many questions. So many desperate, pathetic women.

WWE RAW: A special three-hour presentation of the WWE's flagship show promises a showdown in the ring between Barack Obama and Hilary Clinton. If it's anything like last week's debate on ABC, John McCain will be declared the winner.

The Hills: This show revolves around spoiled, beautiful socialites named Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge. Tonight - as a bonus - Justin "Bobby" Brescia reportedly makes his return! What's not to love about him (everything)?

The Hills couples: Heidi and Spencer; Audrina and Justin-Bobby.
