Chris Harrison, venerable host/pimp of The Bachelor, sat down with Ellen DeGeneres yesterday to discuss what goes on behind the scenes of the ABC hit.

While there were no Bachelor spoilers of significance revealed, he did chat about bringing back Brad, rose ceremony all-nighters and Bachelor drinking games.

The best part? Ellen pointing out the absurdity of Chris ritualistically announcing the final rose each and every week, as if the women and viewers don't know.

As we saw last night - and discussed in our Bachelor recap - the claws are already coming out two weeks into the season. And Michelle Money isn't done yet.

Next week, the group date rose winner gets even more feisty with the other girls, leading to increased tension in the mansion. Can you even HANDLE it?!

Also, Brad Womack butchers a popular Seal track, according to the promo:

Follow the jump for two clips from last night's episode - Brad's emotional second rose ceremony and Ali and Roberto's "surprise" visit to help him out at the end:

The Bachelor's second week went as it typically does. With the field needing to be pared down, the tensions rise and there are some really cheesy dates.

Also, Brad Womack decides to "really come out of his shell," while some of the women "show their true colors." This just sounds like a press release, no?

Onward to THG's trademark plus-minus recap!

Brad as a Vampire

WHITE FANG: Leave it to The Vampire Diaries, Brad.

Ashley Hebert goes on an amusement park one-on-one date with Brad. Staged ferris wheel kiss aside, we find ourselves liking this Ashley girl. Plus 5.

B-Dubs: "I made a stronger connection tonight than I did in a whole month last time." Oh, that hurts if you're Jenni Croft or DeAnna Pappas! Minus 3.

You've got to hand it to Britt and Chantal for going at it in that faux threesome. Plus 7 for trying to show up the other girl also in bed with them.

Minus 4 for Melissa's awkward FAIL of an attempt to intervene, though.

Have no fear, Bachelor skeptics.

Brad Womack, who talked about how he was "happy with his decision" the last time he was in this position, is leaving nothing open-ended how. He's in love.

"I call this woman about 20 times a day. I really am like a high school sophomore," Womack says of his chosen bride. "I'm in love, head over heels."

Brad: So in Love

Brad Womack clearly won over at least one woman!

"So, I call and text. I'm doing the whole high school thing. I see her about once or twice a month. It's under lock and key, of course. It's not nearly enough."

"I'm a true believer in instant connections," he says. "Around our first date or so – and I'm not even saying one-on-one or group [date] – I kind of knew."

"There's no denying that I felt it very, very quickly ... Once I fall, I just know. I fall very hard, and it happened. It happened. I used every second wisely."

So who is it? We don't wanna say, but Emily Maynard seems like a strong bet.

Look out, Brad Womack. You've got major competition in the bachelor department.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has confirmed that he's starring in the Ukrainian version of the ABC reality show. On his website, the professional dancer - who has been linked in the past to Dancing with the Stars contestants and fellow pros - says he turned down the American Bachelor and writes:

"This is the first thing in a VERY LONG TIME that I'm doing for ME. For the first time I don't really care what people think. First time that I'm not being 'judged', 'placed' or 'criticized.'"

Filing has wrapped on Maksim's season. While we wait to see if he found love, though, we need to know: From which of these studs would you rather take it?

For whatever reason, certain celeb news sites are playing up Chantal O'Brien's slap of Brad Womack on The Bachelor season premiere as some scandalous act.

Not only was it clearly staged - Chantal is practically reading cue cards, and Brad's nonchalant reaction was comical - it was harmless, not assault material.

As a result, Brad says he's fine, she's no Amber Portwood and that viewers need to take Chantal's unconventional greeting in stride, just like he did.

Brad told TMZ that, "I think Chantal was just trying to make a statement about my past behavior and make a strong first impression, which she did."

"I think what Chantal did was a light-hearted gesture. I do not condone violence, nor would I keep someone around who truly wished to do me harm."

He does insist the slap from Chantal O'Brien (and women everywhere) was "very real and hard," however. Especially after the ninth take, right B?

Jillian Harris says she fully supports Brad Womack getting a second chance on The Bachelor. She might even be feeling a little jealous of him, in fact.

The Bachelorette star chose Ed Swiderski. That didn't work out.

"I won't lie that when I heard he was getting a second chance, I was a bit green-eyed and thought seriously about hitting my [The Bachelor creator] Mike Fleiss speed dial, demanding he cough up my second chance, too," she writes.

Hot Brad Womack

Jillian also commented on the infamous season premiere slap.

"When Chantal slapped Brad on the The Bachelor season premiere, he responded that he liked her more. I had to hold myself back from leaping through the screen to slap him again! Not because he deserved it, but because he didn't!"

"I am very much on the supporting side of this second chance debate. In fact, I'm floored at the pressure put on Brad by himself, the media, and the girls."

Move over, Brad Womack.

There's a new Bachelor star coming to town ... one who is openly gay, who blogs about celebrity gossip, and who recently pledged to be nicer. It's Perez Hilton!

He's not really starring on the ABC reality show, of course, but does act the part, as only he can, in this spoof from Jimmy Kimmel. It's actually pretty funny.

The best part? Bachelor host-pimp Chris Harrison's cameo:

From the moment she was introduced on The Bachelor season premiere last night, Emily Maynard became a favorite - to win, and among viewers.

Emily was formerly engaged to Ricky Hendrick, a NASCAR driver who died in a plane crash in 2004. Right after that, she learned she was pregnant.

The beautiful single mom from Charlotte, N.C., is the quintessential Southern belle and a sweetheart to boot. Brad Womack? Immediately smitten.

She's got the story, the looks and the personality. Will she win? Here's The Bachelor's introductory Emily Maynard montage from Monday ...

With a little plastic surgery, Hugh Hefner would be all over it, but luckily for us, she doesn't look to be artificially enhanced. Except for the tan.
