It's become all but certain that a memorable star from a previous season is chosen for the upcoming season of ABC's The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.

This year gave us two very popular candidates in Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Sean Lowe, both of whom lost to Jef Holm in the Emily Maynard sweepstakes.

Arie and Sean would both be slam-dunk picks for the network, while Roberto Martinez - The Bachelorette winner in 2010 - is said to be out of the mix.

That leaves Arie Luyendyk, Jr., and Sean Lowe as co-frontrunners. Which of the two would you prefer to see this winter? Vote below!

Ali Fedotowsky, you can calm down now.

With rumors circulating over Roberto Martinez being cast as the next Bachelor, and with a $500,000 paycheck reportedly sitting on the table if he were to accept, sources tell Star Magazine the reality star has turned down ABC's generous offer.

And he did it for love.

Roberto Martinez Pic

Martinez is dating a 26-year old model named Kara Ramos and insiders tell the tabloid the two "really like each other."

Ramos has even confirmed the dalliance to Star and added that she told Roberto he had to make a choice: The Bachelor or their relationship.

Martinez then "decided that even a half million dollars wasn't enough incentive to go back in the spotlight to find love on TV, especially with the promise of his new romance with a wonderful girl like Kara," a friend tells the publication, adding:

"Roberto already knows what it takes to have a love relationship played out on national television, and he'd rather have his privacy now with a girl he's really crazy about."

Awww, that's very sweet. So everyone wins in the end. Except Ali.

The Bachelorette season finale airs on Sunday, meanwhile. Who do you think Emily will choose: Ari or Jef?

Here's a rumor everyone could've seen coming after Monday night.

After Sean Lowe's surprising elimination from The Bachelorette, the insurance agent and former Texas A&M football player, 28, is already in discussions to be the next Bachelor, according to Hollywood Life and other sources.

“Sean was approached by ABC to be The Bachelor,” says an insider.

Sean Lowe, Emily Maynard

For good reason. As a handsome, smart and family-oriented individual, he would have little trouble attracting viewers - or prospective Bachelorettes.

But does he even want the role? “He’s interested, but not sure. I wouldn’t be surprised if you see him on The Bachelor next season,” says a source.

He'll have some competition if he does want it. Roberto Martinez has also been mentioned as a candidate, and this summer's runner-up will be too.

After Emily Maynard picks Arie Luyendyk or Jef Holm - see The Bachelorette spoilers if you want to know who - another strong candidate will emerge.

Would you like to see Sean Lowe as the next Bachelor? Tell us in the comments below, and vote in our dueling surveys regarding Emily's decision ...

Did she make the right move telling Sean go?

Who should she choose on the July 22 finale?

Dr. Travis Stork can lay claim to one of the shortest engagements in the history of The Bachelor, splitting from Sarah Stone before the season even finished airing.

Fortunately, his second engagement worked out a bit better.

Saturday, The Doctors co-host wed his girlfriend of over three years, pediatrician Dr. Charlotte Brown. The couple got engaged last year on vacation in Hawaii.

Surrounded by family and friends, the two gorgeous physicians exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony nestled in the Colorado mountains.

Stork couldn't have been more thrilled: "My days as a Bachelor are nearing an end!" he Tweeted. "My wedding ring has arrived… getting excited!"

Congratulations go out to Travis and Charlotte. They were clearly great catches whose days as a Bachelor and Bachelorette were limited.

As for the current season airing on ABC, The Bachelorette spoilers hint at an interesting resolution to the June 22 finale. Follow the link if you date!

A harsh reality is setting in for Emily Maynard of The Bachelorette, according to a tabloid report suggesting she is unhappy with the guy she picked on the season finale and is currently leaning on Brad Womack for support, despite his recent dig at her.

Yes, her ex-fiance and ex-Bachelor star Brad Womack.

Emily Back With Brad?

This is the second gossip item in as many days suggesting Emily ends up with someone not named Jef, Sean, Chris or Arie. Yesterday, it was Emily Maynard and Chris Harrison getting it on (seriously). Today, it's Emily and Brad redux!

Life & Style "exclusively" reveals that Emily got engaged to her final Bachelor on the Caribbean island of Curacao, but is having doubts about the pick.

Even The Bachelorette spoilers don't specify who that is, but the magazine says it's led her back to Brad Womack, who picked her on The Bachelor.

More believable than the Chris story or less so? Your call!

The Bachelor and The Bachelorette spoilers seem to always leak, but the cast members are always on legal lockdown before, during and after the show.

This fact makes it hard to believe recent reports that this year's Bachelor winner, Courtney Robertson, is planning a tell-all book about the experience.

According to In Touch, Ben Flajnik's fiancee wants to "address misconceptions" about her name-calling, top-dropping, man-eating, "winning" ways.

No other Bachelor or Bachelorette cast member has ever gone off the script by airing juicy behind-the-scenes details ... most likely because of iron-clad NDAs.

Just the same, “Courtney has a lot already written,” according to an unnamed source quoted by Wetpaint. “She started when she got home from filming the show."

"It was her way of coping with frustrations over how she was portrayed. Writing was her release ... We all think she should definitely turn it into a book. It will be SO juicy.”

One way to get around the legal obstacles? "Fictionalizing" it.

“She could do it as a memoir - or as a fictional story loosely based on her life. It’s still in the early stages,” says the source of a possible Courtney novel.

Hey, it worked for New York Times bestseller Lauren Conrad.

Ali Fedotowsky, who chose Roberto Martinez on The Bachelorette two summers ago, is said to be less than thrilled about rumors that say he's in talks to be The Bachelor.

Roberto and Ali split after 18 months together, and sure enough, he's being talked about as the star of Season 17 of The Bachelor, slated for early January.

"Roberto never shared his side of the breakup, and Ali is terrified about what he would say on the show and how she would come off," a source explains.

Ali F., Roberto M.

Who knows why she would care about a breakup that wasn't even that bad (supposedly), now that she's faded from the spotlight (mostly), but whatever.

Luckily for Ali, he may turn down the opportunity.

"He's very happy being out of the spotlight," a source close to the hunky former minor league ballplayer and current San Diego insurance agent explains.

"He hasn't ruled it out 100 percent, but don't bet on it."

If Roberto Martinez were to become The Bachelor, he would be the first minority star in 25 seasons (including eight Bachelorettes) of the ABC franchise.

None of the 16 Bachelors are married to their final rose recipient, although Jason Mesnick married Molly Malaney, his runner-up from that season.

Is Roberto Martinez next in line to star as The Bachelor?

Martinez, the former fiance of Ali Fedotowsky, who was The Bachelorette star before Emily Maynard and Ashley Hebert, is rumored to be returning to the franchise.

Roberto would be the first non-white Bachelor or Bachelorette ever, which would be an interesting angle, and he's obviously familiar with the show.

Will it actually happen, though?

Roberto Martinez and Ali Fedotowsky Pic

Even though Life & Style is reporting that that Martinez already signed a contract to appear in Season 17, insiders say nothing has been signed as of yet.

The 29-year-old insurance agent is "definitely still in the mix" to be the next Bachelor, but it's way too early for any decision to be made for the role.

ABC is also doing a casting search for unknowns, as well as waiting to see if any of the guys from this season of The Bachelorette stand out to them.

Roberto Martinez and Ali got engaged in the 2010 season of The Bachelorette, but broke things off in November 2011 after 18 months of dating.

The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard was apparently just dissed by her former fiance, Brad Womack, in a recent interview he gave. What did the guy say?

Asked about the 26-year-old single mother by his hometown ABC station, Brad allegedly said: “I think I dodged a bullet with that relationship.”

Yeah. If that's true, really not cool Brad.

Good thing Emily Maynard has a whole new group of guys to choose from on the new season of The Bachelorette, since Brad clearly wasn't The One.

Who will she choose now that she's the one doling out the roses for the ABC reality franchise, which airs tonight? That's yet to be determined.

The Bachelorette spoilers we've read and posted so far hint at some of the serious contenders, however, so check out that page if you're curious!
