Jenelle Evans and Gary Head have officially adopted ... a pit bull puppy.

PHEW, right? Trust us, we know. When you hear that Jenelle Evans and Gary Head adopt, you're thinking human, since she's famous from Teen Mom 2 and these people show absolutely no signs of common sense or good judgment.

Fortunately, in this case it's just a dog ... who her mom will probably be taking care of along with Jenelle's son in nine months or so.

Jenelle was tweeting about her excitement all day over the puppy (named Brody), but what will happen when Jenelle and Gary break up?

Yes ... we said if, not when. Are we wrong?

They've already done so twice in as many months, so you know it's just a matter of time. Jenelle makes Amber Portwood look stable.

Anyway, you two, congrats on the puppy.

In other Teen Mom adoption news, Catelynn Lowell is pregnant, but unlike her first child, Carly, she and Tyler Baltierra are keeping this one!

On last night's Teen Mom season premiere, Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra went to the birthday party of the daughter they gave up for adoption.

Today, reports say Catelynn and Tyler have are expecting, again.

“She said, ‘You’re never going to believe it: I’m pregnant,’” Cate's longtime friend, Jamie Pyrzewski, allegedly told celeb gossip magazine In Touch.

Jamie says Catelynn is excited to keep the baby this time: “We were both quiet. I asked how she felt about it. She said she was nervous and scared.”

Catelynn Lowell Pregnant!

After a short period, panic and “total denial” quickly gave way to excitement: “She is now feeling complete joy,” a family insider says of the MTV star.

Adds another source close to Catelynn Lowell, “This time around, she and Tyler knew immediately they wanted to keep the baby. She’s just so happy.”

Catelynn shot to fame on 16 and Pregnant as a conflicted young mom who made the heartbreaking choice to put her daughter Carly up for adoption.

Since then, she and stepbrother-fiance Tyler have become fan favorites for their steady relationship and solid (limited) relationship with Carly.

UPDATE, 2:30 p.m.: Apparently this was BS and she's not expecting after all.

"Don't believe everything you read, I'm definitely not pregnant!" Cate told Us in a statement, adding that despite the report, "I'm on the pill!"

"I'm only 20 ... I don't want to have kids until I'm out of school and we're married."

Probably smart thinking ... we still wish the couple nothing but the very best!

Teen Mom's return was anything but joyous for the girls involved, or even the voyeuristic viewers who typically take delight in watching them.

Anyone who claims the show promotes or glamorizes teen pregnancy and young motherhood? Watch and re-watch this depressing episode.

The trials and tribulations of Amber Portwood (whose life has played out in celebrity gossip circles) have been well documented, of course.

Maci Bookout, Farrah Abraham and Catelynn Lowell didn't exactly balance her out with positivity, though. The Season 4 opener was brutal.

Why? Find out in THG's official +/- recap!

Amber Portwood in Rehab

Let's start with Amber, who is sentenced court-ordered rehab for substance abuse / anger management / mental health and two years' probation.

Baby daddy Gary Shirley is, understandably, a bit thrown off when she starts POUNDING wine moments after arriving at his place. Minus 10.

"This is the first time I've had a drink because I just turned 21," she says. Minus 21, as that's obviously not true, and isn't a good reason anyway.

Amber needs the wine "to get the fact that I'm leaving for rehab off my mind." Somehow this doesn't bode well for rehab ... as we know. Minus 8.

"People wonder why I hit you in your f--king face. You're just a rude mean person and I'm the bitch for hitting you." - Amber to Gary. Plus 14.

Gary Shirley's 911 call plays: "She's wanting to hang herself and she said call the police so they can find my body in the garage." Minus 15.

Things ends on a hopeful note at least, with Amber and Leah's loving phone call and Gary accepting an invite to visit her in rehab. Plus 16.

Of course, we all know where Amber Portwood lives right now, so ... Minus 100.

Plus 5 for Gary's fashion choices, however. Couture at its finest.

Media coverage surrounding Amber Portwood's decision to go to prison because she can't hack it in rehab has more or less ignored one key component:

Her daughter, Leah.

The Teen Mom star was sentenced to five years in prison last week after she dropped out of a drug-treatment program the court ordered her to complete.

She could've toughed it out, though; Portwood is off to prison because she felt rehab was simply too hard and thinks going to jail is the only way to get clean.

Amber Portwood in Jail

Portwood said in her jailhouse interview last week that an overdose drove her to take the five-year sentence - handed down because of her repeated drug arrests, but initially suspended pending completion of the program.

The saddest part of this saga, which has become an afterthought, is that she effectively chose to be locked up and away from her three-year-old girl.

With the final season of Teen Mom starting tomorrow, this is unlikely to be swept under the rug any longer. The premiere shows Amber going to rehab.

In the second episode, she's in treatment and thinks she's making some real progress, making her downward spiral even more depressing to endure.

Maybe Gary Shirley having custody of Leah isn't the worst thing, but why would you choose to go to prison and not be a part of your child's life?

Like everything else in Amber's world, it defies comprehension.

Amber Portwood, fresh off being sentenced to five years in prison, opened up about it with Good Morning America LIVE from the big house this morning.

The Teen Mom star Amber Portwood had become so depressed in rehab that she tried to overdose on pills, which prompted her to bail altogether.

She insisted that she enter prison instead, and having violated the rules of her probation repeatedly, a judge felt he had no choice but to oblige.

A shackled Amber spoke with Good Morning America today, claiming, "I had taken 30 Suboxone [a drug used to treat opioid addictions] within three days."

"The depression took over. I would take 4-5 at a time."

"It got to a point where I felt like I'd rather do my time and get it over with, and make the best of a situation that's been handed to me. I'm not just going to sit. I'm going to do substance abuse classes. I'm going to get my GED."

That's ... admirable in a weird way?

It still makes no sense, since Amber Portwood had an opportunity to receive out-patient treatment without prison, even after she was jailed for contempt of court for flaking on mandatory drug tests, but opted for prison anyway.

Wonder if she'll rethink "getting it over with" in 2016 ... when she's STILL IN THERE.

Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Farrah Abraham are making the rounds to promote the fourth and final season of Teen Mom, which starts next week, while urging support for incarcerated co-star Amber Portwood.

The trio support her "100 percent" and just want her to get better.

"I definitely keep in contact with her. I just wish her the best," Catelynn says. "Hopefully she gets done whatever she needs to get done."

"I think that people need to support her and stop bashing her all the time ... we just need to forget the past and just be there for her and try to support her so she can just do everything that she needs to do. People are very mean to her."

"Being in this whole experience together for four years, we all have this special bond, so we want nothing but the best for Amber," Maci adds.

"We just want her happy."

Amber Portwood was sentenced to prison this week after a series of arrests and probation violations. A judge gave her a FIVE-YEAR term.

As for the upcoming final season, as previewed in the Teen Mom trailer, the girls say they're excited to show how much they've evolved.

With Amber Portwood sentenced to five years in prison after violating probation for a drug arrest last year, the new season of Teen Mom takes on a dark tone.

It's no secret Portwood has struggled with rage issues (the drug arrest was not her first legal run-in by a long shot), as well as addiction and depression.

She tackles all of these issues head-on in the final season of Teen Mom, beginning next Tuesday on MTV and chronicling her downward spiral in detail.

The new season begins with Portwood and off-and-on fiance Gary Shirley trying to stay together despite a no contact order which they repeatedly violate.

Portwood has to leave for (court-ordered) rehab to treat anger and pill problems, and it's very evident that she could use someone sympathetic to talk to.

She does not find that at Gary's house. Amber chugs a few glasses of wine and EXPLODES at him over their relationship and the future of their daughter.

In another episode, we will see part of Amber Portwood's journey in therapy as she reveals some very personal secrets and seems to truly be making strides.

She seems hopeful, even, which makes it even sadder knowing that she will later quit on rehab and ask the judge to send her to prison to save her life.

It's unclear how much of the most recent drama was filmed by MTV, but the final season of the hit show is almost guaranteed to end on a somber note.

Amber Portwood has been sentenced to five years in prison after throwing in the towel on rehab and asking an Indiana judge to reimpose her sentence.

Guess he took her request to heart.

Portwood had been on probation following a December drug arrest, but was jailed for contempt of court this spring after failing to show up for a drug test.

Portwood was in court when the judge reimposed the sentence of five years in prison. Her attorney asked for leniency, but the judge was unmoved.

Not that he had a choice, he said. Due to her relapse, he said he had no choice but to enforce the terms of her plea agreement from this winter.

Portwood's five-year prison sentence was previously stayed on the condition she complete a drug rehabilitation program. That did not happen.

The Teen Mom train wreck lied about a medical condition to get out of drug testing, then gave up on rehab and asked to go to prison instead.

The judge said he would refer Amber to the Indiana Department of Corrections therapeutic community program - incarceration-based rehab.

Amber Portwood will be given credit for time served in jail, which is considerable, but nothing approaching five years. See you in 2016 or 2017 girl?

The Teen Mom cast has MTV over a barrel.

They're not one-percenters, but Jenelle Evans, Catelynn Lowell, Kailyn Lowry, Leah Messer & Co. are bringing in big dollars to simply do ... whatever it is they do.

In Jenelle's case, that would be smoke weed, start fights and get engaged to Gary Head, all while not even taking care of her own kid. Nice gig if you can get it.

Teen Mom 2 After Show

On the high side, “Jenelle gets paid $75,000 a season and her mom gets paid $65,000: she calls her an overpaid babysitter,” a source says of the unemployed star.

“She also gets a lot of gift cards to places like The Olive Garden."

WOW. Talk about job perks and fringe benefits. Crazy jealous.

Catelynn, a source says, has made plenty of dough as well.

That was fast. Only a week after being released from jail, troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is already back there on contempt of court charges.

The 22-year-old was booked a little after 5 p.m. Thursday.

"Amber finally had enough. The system failed her, and that is all I can say," brother Shawn Portwood said. Yes. The system failed. Good attitude.

"I really feel for my sister. She does not deserve to be there or anything that has happened to her. She is only there because of who she is."

Grade A Screw-Up

Amber Portwood has been struggling with the terms of her probation and was put behind bars a couple weeks ago for failing to appear in court.

She claims that was due to doctor's orders to rest after surgery, but that turned out to actually be not true at all, so officials came and arrested her.

She was released from jail last Thursday, but it was apparently short-lived.

Yesterday, she showed up for her weekly drug court hearing, and basically threw in the towel on the entire rehab thing. Hey, at least she was honest.

Amber told the judge she hadn't stayed clean and will always be a "bad girl," so she'd rather just face prison time than deal with this charade anymore.

She may well get her wish after these recent antics.

The reality star's probation stems from her arrest and subsequent jail time last December for drug possession. She violates probation quite a bit.
