Just a few hours ago, THG debated whether Kim Kardashian should give advice on teen pregnancy, in light of her recent remarks on MTV's Teen Mom.

This celebrity gossip writer argued that Kim's comments were uncalled for, given the reasons behind her fame, and it was not her place to weigh in.

Farrah Abraham appears to agree.

It looks like Kim's Teen Mom tirade may have gotten a bit too preachy for one of its cast members, who responded to K-squared's criticism on Twitter.

Last week, Kim took to her blog to speak out against teen pregnancy and included MTV’s Teen Mom in the missive, saying it fosters a troubling trend.

“It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls,” was one choice Kim excerpt.

“These kids are all over the news, even covers of magazines, and have almost become celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!”

Farrah Abraham takes issue with Kim, to say the least.

Let me be clear: by no stretch of any imagination should Kim Kardashian be a role model.

She is famous solely because she made a sex tape, hired a good publicist and is willing to attach her name to any product on the market.

But these facts don't change another fact: she IS a role model. She has close to four million Facebook fans, six million Twitter followers.

For reasons that defy comprehension, people - many of whom are teenage women - care about what Kim says, thinks and does.

So instead of finding another reason to bash her, why not applaud Kim for actually using her pedestal for an important cause? Yes, she got there by having filmed intercourse with Ray J. But she didn't get pregnant as a result, did she?

See. She talks the talk and has walked the walk.

Look at the photo above. This is who's opining on social issues of our time.

This isn't to say that Kim Kardashian is a bad person, or that she can't have opinions on serious subjects. But she needs to know her role and shut her yap too.

Kim's missive about Teen Mom glorifying pregnancy is laughable. Not because of the MTV show's content, but because of the reasons you know who Kim is.

Kim loves her kurves. Kim endorses QuikTrim! Kim shows kleavage on Twitter! Kim shills for new show! Kim dates half the NFL! Kim endorses bogus kredit kard!

She accuses Teen Mom of making celebrities out of its cast, an odd message from a girl who got famous from a sex tape and flaunts her sexuality on a daily basis.

The ultimate product of the same celebrity-obsessed culture she derides, Kim has milked it for a fortune, has zero credibility and is in no position to judge.

For Teen Mom’s Leah Simms, her separation from now-husband Corey was hard enough without reliving the heartbreak on the MTV hit show this week.

The parents of 13-month-old twins Aleeah and Aliannah watched the January 11 premiere episode with family and friends at their West Virginia home.

Like plenty of viewers, they got choked up as they watched themselves on screen.

"We got emotional watching the scene because you could just see how much we loved each other," Leah Simms, 18, tells the new issue of Us Weekly.

At the time, the pair were reeling from their split, Leah's subsequent dalliance with ex-boyfriend Robbie and daughter Ali's unexplained health woes.

And while they still don't have answers about their little one - "Ali has had MRIs and we're still going to doctors," Leah says - the relationship is solid.

The couple, who wed last fall, has no regrets about the past tumult: "If I hadn't made that mistake, I wouldn't have learned from it," she says.

Perhaps there's hope for Amber Portwood and Gary Shirley yet.

In a recent edition of THG Asks, one of our columnists argued that Teen Mom glorifies teen pregnancy. Now, in response to a report that 90 - yes, 90! - girls from a Memphis high school are knocked up or have given birth this year, Kim has blogged the following:

It seems that shows like Teen Mom are all of a sudden making teen pregnancy seem cool in the eyes of young girls. The kids from these shows are all over the news, even on the covers of magazines, and have been become almost like celebrities, but girls, these are not people you should idolize!

When I think back to when I was 16, there is no way I would even have considered having a baby. That thought wouldn’t even have entered my head. Having a baby is one one of the biggest, and most life-changing decisions a person can make and while I’m not saying that no teen is in the position to raise a child, having a baby so young shouldn’t be seen as the trendy thing to do.

We couldn't agree with Kim more. Amber Portwood, on the other hand?

Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans and her boyfriend/partner in crime, Kieffer Delp, have called it quits - and she wants to make it quite clear who dumped who.

"he seen the light of day? nahh, i brokeup with HIM. get it straight. im not upset. i did it for the better of myself. i do better when single," she Facebooked.

"yu guys will see that in episode 2. it really isnt hitting me hard at all. idk why, just isnt. the breakup with andrew was wayyy more intense then this."

POOR JACE: Seriously. That poor little fella.

Troubled Jenelle is scheduled to appear in court on felony drug and breaking and entering charges (and speeding, for good measure) in the coming weeks.

The heiress apparent to Amber Portwood was last seen slugging her own mom on this week's debut episode of Teen Mom 2, which premiered Tuesday.

Evans apparently parties instead of caring for 9-month-old son Jace, and leaves him in the care of mom Barbara, resulting in the occasional brawl for the ages.

Cue the rumors of her losing her baby forever, In Touch.

Never overdramatic by any means, celebrity gossip tabloid OK! has determined that Jenelle Evans, star of Teen Mom 2, is about to be childless. FOREVER.

Teen Mom 2 just got underway, but Jenelle Evans is already creating drama. She was recently charged with breaking and entering and drug possession.

She’s already lost custody of her son, Jace, and she may NEVER be able get him back thanks to her troubled relationships and hard-partying lifestyle ...

TROUBLED TEEN MOM, TOO: You've got company, Amber Portwood.

Police say they found the Oak Island, N.C., resident with a bag of marijuana and a pipe in a vacant house on October 15, waiting for boyfriend Kieffer Delp.

Both were arrested, and the case is expected to go to court next month. Her fate could determine her future with Jace. Sadly, it's not her first legal woe.

In the past two years, she has also been arrested for trespassing and ran away from home (for long enough that missing person reports were filed). Yikes.

Maybe it's best if Jace lives with his grandparents for awhile ...

Looks like trouble for this Teen Mom, too.

Jenelle Evans was charged with breaking and entering and drug possession after she and boyfriend Kieffer Delp broke into a vacant property this fall.

Local officers discovered the troubled Oak Island, N.C., twosome in possession of half an ounce of marijuana and a pipe at the time of the break-in.

JENELLE AND JACE: Poor kid. Poor. Kid.

Police arrived at the house and announced their presence - but nobody came to the door for 10 minutes. They then found one of the back doors ajar.

They entered the residence and found Jenelle Evans in the back bedroom with the lights off. Delp had peaced out but was caught near the property.

He admitted to owning the marijuana and paraphernalia upon his apprehension. The pair were arrested, held on $3,000 bail and later charged.

Rotund Teen Mom baby daddy and frequent punching bag Gary Shirley is working on a new clothing line specifically for dads and daughters.

Seriously, this is a real project.

The former fiance of Amber Portwood is calling the line "Gary Time" and the logo will have a "big clock," says a source close to Leah's father.

IT'S GARY TIME: The "big clock" currently reads 14:57.

The Gary Shirley source adds: "The shirts have already been made. He knows he has the platform from Teen Mom and can turn it into something to make money."

That platform also goes by the name Leah. Pray for her.

Two simple sentences have landed Adam Lambert in a bit of trouble.

Yesterday, the singer - likely motivated by the recent struggles of Amber Portwood - Tweeted that Teen Mom is depressing to watch.

Today, he was took to the social network again in response to the reaction of some of his followers, many of whom apparently took issue with Lambert's stance. He wrote:

Lambert was more than just snarky, however. He was also explanatory, adding:

"I'm not saying that all teen moms are white trash. Don't misunderstand. Yet, most of the ones on that show seem to be. I do, however, think they're are being exploited a bit."

They are being well-compensated, of course, as Amber made $280,000 from MTV last year. What do you think of Adam's statements?

Gary Shirley has, by his own admission, talked hella $h!t about Amber Portwood. But that doesn't mean YOU can, the rotund one stated Thursday.

The Teen Mom star has taken quite the beating in the press thanks to Gary's remarks and leaked phone calls. Now he wants her to be left alone.

Seriously. As he told TMZ, there's still a chance they'll hook up again and he doesn't want to hurt those chances. Besides, she's a "good girl" ...

BY HER SIDE: Gary Shirley has Amber Portwood's back ... this morning.

"I've said a lot of s**t because I am mad," admits Gary Shirley, the father of baby Leah. "But if anyone else wants to come up and talk s**t about Amber I won't let it happen because she is a good girl, and she's my baby mama."

Indeed she is. Gar then sounded like a textbook spousal abuse victim, adding "I am fine with the fact that Amber hit me because she has gotten all the help that she needs. Ever since that she hasn't put her hands on me."

On a poignant, optimistic note, he concludes, "When the [restraining order] is lifted ... if she's single and I'm single, I'm sure we will try our relationship."
