Piers Morgan Rushes to Defense of Susan Boyle

Following the much-ballyhooed Susan Boyle meltdown from this week, Piers Morgan is rushing to the defense of the singer.

On CBS' The Early Show Thursday, the Britain's Got Talent just said he feels sorry for the burgeoning celebrity.

"From what I hear, she's been in tears the last two days. She even threatened to leave the show yesterday at one stage, because of the sheer amount of pressure on her," Morgan said. "And you have to remember with Susan, she's a 48-year-old lady from a tiny village in Scotland who has never been exposed to anything like this kind of attention. And I think she's really feeling the heat."

Rubbish!

Susan Boyle, seen here dealing with British policemen following a run-in with journalists, is feeling the pressures of fame.

Morgan continued, citing the conditions under which Boyle reportedly flipped out:

"The hotel she's in is crawling in tourists, crawling in the media. I think maybe she overreacted. I don't know what happened. She denies, apparently, some of the things that have been reported.

"But either way, I know she's feeling a lot of pressure, and I think that most people watching this show and hearing about this will feel natural sympathy toward her. And I just hope it all calms down for the final. Because, on Saturday, she sings for the competition."

Can Boyle overcome the pressure and win Britain's Got Talent?!? A world awaits the answer.

Susan Boyle Reportedly Flips the F%*k Out!

Susan Boyle may not resemble a typical, spoiled celebrity. But is she starting to act like one?

According to Great Britain's The Sun, everyone's favorite Britain's Got Talent finalist dropped a series of F bombs during a pair of outbursts this week.

First, the singer was reportedly angered on Tuesday night by comments judge Piers Morgan made regarding rival contestant Shaheen Jafargholi, as he was praised for the "best singing performance we've seen so far."

According to the newspaper, Boyle - watching the show at a bar with Shaheen's friends - stood and screamed "f**k off" before storming out of the establishment.

"She got a bit annoyed when a busload of tourists asked for autographs and told them to wait until Shaheen had finished. She was smiling as Shaheen sang but afterwards, when Piers started praising him, Susan went nuts," said a witness. "She got up, did one of those strange wiggling dances that she does, and then stuck two fingers up at the TV. Then she marched off. We didn't see her again."

Boyle-ing Over

Susan Boyle, explaining an unpleasant run-in with strangers on Wednesday, has had a rough week.

Second, the police allegedly intervened yesterday after Boyle lost it in the lobby of the Wembley Plaza Hotel in North London.

While it's unknown exactly what prompted her rage, onlookers say the Scottish singer screamed "How f***ing dare you! You can't f***ing talk to me like that," when approached by a couple individuals at the hotel.

Crying, Boyle exited the premises and was followed to the street by her family, the show's production staff and the cops. Said one officer to the burgeoning star:

"You are in the public eye, you must learn to expect this sort of thing."

The Britain's Got Talent finale airs this weekend. Might winning, and the subsequent fame that will follow, actually be a bad thing for Boyle?

Kelly Clarkson Shows Love for Susan Boyle

Take this, Lily Allen!

You may be hating on Susan Boyle, but a far more talented singer disagrees with your assessment.

When asked for her opinion on the Britain's Got Talent sensation, Kelly Clarkson told The Associated Press in Hong Kong:

"I think it's awesome. I'm bawling whenever I hear her sing," Clarkson told The Associated Press in Hong Kong, saying Boyle's rendition of "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical "Les Miserables" sounded beautiful.

Clarkson was overseas to promote her new album, "All I Ever Wanted."

She wasn't asked about the latest American Idol controversy, which questions whether a corporate sponsor played a role in Kris Allen's victory last week.

Lily Allen: Susan Boyle is Overrated

Susan Boyle, the 48-year-old Scottish singer who has taken a nation by storm upon advancing to the final round on Britain’s Got Talent, hasn't won over the whole UK.

Despite Boyle's beating out seven other performers belting out "Memory" from the musical Cats to reach the finals, English songstress Lily Allen was unimpressed.

"I thought her timing was off on Britain’s Got Talent on Sunday - no control," the 24-year-old songbird opined on her official Twitter page.

"And I don't think she has an amazing voice."

Allen then made a comment that appeared to suggest that Susan Boyle is a mere gimmick: "She can sing," she said, "but it's not about talent with her, is it?"

She "seems like a lovely lady but, if the show is about talent, then that [Shaheen Jafargholi] kid should win." Who do you think has got more talent in Britain?

The Britain’s Got Talent finale competition takes place this Saturday.

Susan Boyle Advances to Finals of Britain's Got Talent

After telling the audience she wanted to win "more than anything ever in my life," Susan Boyle advanced to the finals of Britain's Got Talent today, following an impressive rendition of the Cats' classic "Memory."

Watch the performance below:

The show's winner will be announced next week.

Boyle said a victory for her would "prove that I am a worthwhile person."

That's actually a very sad sentiment. We hope Boyle, nor anyone else, attaches her self-worth to where she places in a singing competition. Don't you agree?

Susan Boyle Speaks on Makeover, Britain's Got Talent

A pair of global icons met in front of a television audience today, as Susan Boyle appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Asked about her world famous makeover, the Britain's Got Talent contestant said doesn't consider her new look too drastic of a change.

"Depends what you mean by a makeover," Boyle said. "I mean, my best friend actually helps me with my makeup. You know, I mean, that's hardly a makeover."

The singer debuted a $50 dye job last month, which she said was meant "just to tidy myself up, like any other female would have done.

Regarding her chances to win Britain's Got Talent, Boyle remained humble.

"Well, I hope I have the chance, but at the same time, there's a lot of other talent in the competition, so I'm willing to take my place with them," she said. "There's a lot of good talent on the show."

We love Boyle, but she's right. The show won't be a mere coronation for her. Hollie Steel and Jamie Pugh will have a lot to say about who comes out on top.

Michael Johns: Pucker Up, Susan Boyle!

Even though Susan Boyle claims she was just kidding when she said she's never been kissed, former American Idol star Michael Johns told Us Weekly he'd totally go to first base with the aspiring singer.

"I already said I'd kiss her myself if I ever saw her," Johns said last week at the Los Angeles premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine. "As a person that loves music - when did you have to be good looking to be a good singer? It doesn’t matter what you look like... Susan Boyle is a good story, I like that."

So do we.

Johns performed last week on American Idol and will return to that stage for the season finale on May 19.

Classic Susan Boyle: "The Way We Were"

The world may have just discovered Susan Boyle last month.

But those that attended a local talent show in Scotland - in 1984 - have known about this singer's vocal chops for the last 25 years.

Some dude named Gerry McGuinness, who was in the audience that night at Motherwell Football Club's social club, has uncovered a tape of the Britain's Got Talent contestant singing "The Way We Were."

"She was so shy, but she was also very attractive back then. She turned a few heads when she came in," he said. "It's great she is finally getting some recognition."

McGuinness added that Boyle actually did not win the contest that year. Will the same upset take place on Britain's Got Talent?

Yes, if Hollie Steel has her way!

Hollie Steel to Susan Boyle: Bring It!

Forget Adam Lambert vs. Danny Gokey on American Idol.

The true reality singing competition is across the Atlantic, as early favorites Susan Boyle and Hollie Steel prepare for a showdown on Britain's Got Talent.

Boyle, of course, has earned national acclaim through her age, appearance and incredible voice. But Steel, only 10 years old, is coming on strong.

When asked about her rival, Steel held nothing back:

“I like her new look, but I think it looked better before. My advice to Susan would be, ‘Don’t change your look [more] because if you change your look you won’t be who you are,'" Hollie said to Extra.

The young singer also has a message for Boyle: "Good luck and I hope I can beat you."

It is so on.

Simon Cowell to Susan Boyle: Focus!!!

This just in: Simon Cowell is not always right.

The American Idol and Britain's Got Talent judge says he and his panel totally misjudged Susan Boyle, as he told Entertainment Tonight: "We were all guilty of judging her before she sang."

With that admission out of the way, Simon went on to offer advice to Boyle, starting with the attention she's received for supposedly never kissing a man and for undergoing a mini makeover.

"I am tired now of hearing about the way she looks or the kissing or this or that. Get yourself together, sweetheart, for the big one, which is the semi-finals [of Britain's Got Talent]," Cowell said. "Chose the right song. Focus yourself. Shut your front door and maybe take a holiday and come back as the person you want to be, not the person you think you should be."

After all, Boyle doesn't have the title locked up. Have you heard Shaheen Jafargholi sing?!?
