Susan Boyle to Guest Star on Ugly Betty?

Susan Boyle is on the verge of conquering the singing universe.

Might the acting world be next?

According to various sources, the Britain's Got Talent sensation will guest star on a fall episode of Ugly Betty. She'd play herself on the ABC hit.

A Burgeoning StarBetty Suarez

“Susan has been bombarded with offers of work in America, but this is something she is really keen on and we hope to make happen,” an insider told Great Britain's The Sun.

A spokesperson for the Scottish singer won't confirm or deny the story, simply saying: “Susan has many offers on the table. At the moment she is looking forward to recording her album.”

Perhaps we can help Boyle and ABC reach an agreement, though. What do you think? Aren't Susan Boyle and Betty Suarez too perfect of a match? Doesn't this need to happen?

Simon Cowell Speaks on Susan Boyle Regret, Future

In light of Susan Boyle's occasional breakdowns over the last few weeks, many have questioned the handing of the former Britain's Got Talent finalist.

Among the critics? Simon Cowell, who penned an editorial this week in UK's Daily Mail. In the excerpts from it below, the judge summarizes his own regrets and his own reactions to the Scottish singer...

On the handling of Boyle: I'm the first to hold my hands up and admit I've made mistakes. Looking back on it all, it has become clear to me that we didn't handle the situation with Susan as well as we could have.

On original impressions: She seemed fine with all the attention - I thought she was utterly charming and really thrilled about what happened. I thought, perhaps naively, that she was in control... I thought whatever happens, we have changed this lady's life.

On seeing Boyle's reaction to her Britain's Got Talent loss: I looked over at her face and thought: 'Christ, she doesn't know how to deal with not winning.' It was a bad moment. Afterwards, I went over and gave her a hug and tried to reassure her... we agreed that we would work together; that it wasn't the end of the road for her.

On not changing the show's format around: There is no easy way of achieving fame, and no guaranteed or trusted way of dealing with it. Who has the right to ban Susan Boyle, or anyone like her, from trying to sing her way out of one life and into another?... There have been problems, but I think overall it is a positive experience for her. I'm glad we gave her this opportunity.

Susan Boyle Comeback Performance Draws Raves

The exhausted Susan Boyle made a triumphant return to Scotland Monday night – and was met with rapturous applause as part of the Britain's Got Talent tour.

Starring every finalist from the TV competition, the concert in Glasgow came a day after Boyle canceled her two shows in Manchester because of a need to rest.

But Monday she wowed 6,000 fans, as Boyle, the 48-year-old runner-up, sang renditions of "I Dreamed a Dream" and "Memory" and sparked huge applause.

"Halfway through the first song they were on their feet giving [Susan Boyle] an ovation, and they remained on their feet the whole way through," her rep said.

"They were cheering her on. She was ecstatic with the performance. She was really happy with how it went. She's doing what she loves doing best, singing."

Comeback Queen

Susan Boyle's brother John wasn't at the show – he hopes to catch his sister in Edinburgh – but, from photos, he says it is obvious that she is "enjoying herself."

Adding that 95 percent of his sister's fan mail comes from the United States, John Boyle said that "I just want her to be happy and enjoy herself and sing. At the end of the day, it's the quality of her voice that's got her this far."

Promoters are being careful not to push Susan Boyle.

After placing second in the Britain's Got Talent final, the Scottish singing sensation was hospitalized with exhaustion for days. She was released in about a week.

About a week later, she met with producers from Simon Cowell's label to choose tracks for the album of her dreams, which she hopes to have out at Christmas.

"She has a vast musical knowledge that she is bringing to the discussions," a source says. "But, again, she will not be rushed. It is one thing at a time."

"First it is the tour. She can move on to the album when she is ready."

Susan Boyle: Exhausted Again!

This may be a problem for any future Susan Boyle has as a musician.

The singer is too tired to perform on back-to-back nights, as reports from the Britain's Got Talent tour say the runner-up failed to take the stage this weekend.

The Scottish sensation had given rousing renditions in three shows over two days late last week, but did not take part in the Manchester leg of the national tour on Saturday evening; it's unclear if she'll be well enough for tonight's show in Glasgow.

"She has been advised to rest today. She has done three amazing performances but she is being advised to rest," a source told the UK's Daily Mail. "She is really disappointed because she wants to be out there performing but she has been advised to have this rest. She sends her sincere apologies to her fans for not appearing in Manchester."

Dreaming a Dream

Seen here, Susan Boyle thrilled fans with "I Dreamed A Dream" in Birmingham, England on Friday night.

It's was a mere two weeks ago that the 48-year-old checked into a private clinic, suffering from exhaustion. Insiders said she was having trouble adjusting to the recent, immense pressure and public interest that has sprung up around her in such a short period of time.

Get better, SuBo!

Paris Hilton: Susan Boyle Has Potential for Hotness

Susan Boyle may have conquered YouTube, along with almost every act on Britain's Got Talent, but the 48-year old singer has a long way to go.

At least in the attention-starved eyes of Paris Hilton.

"I think Susan has an amazing voice," Hilton told Extra when asked about the woman that's a billion times more popular than she is. "But she needs to work on the pose... I think she should come up with something new... since she's such a huge celebrity now... I suggest getting a stylist. She could look really hot if she just wore some pretty dresses."

Don't listen to her, SuBo! This rail thin sex tape star wouldn't know what "hot" was if it came up to her in a bedroom with a night-vision lens on the camera!

Susan Boyle: No Longer Exhausted!

Fresh off a stay at London's Priory Hospital, Susan Boyle is ready to make music again.

Sources have confirmed to People that the Britain's Got Talent runner-up has even joined rehearsals for that show's summer tour, which kicks off June 12 in Birmingham, England.

"She's really happy and on good form," said an insider, adding that Boyle has taken on a new manager, Ossie Kilkenny.

Freed!

Welcome back to the world, Susan Boyle! Millions of fans are happy to see you.

The source said Boyle is anxious to kick start her career, first on the tour and then with an album.

"Everyone wants her to be a part of [the tour], but there is no pressure on her to do it," said the friend, who went on to reference Boyle's eventual CD: "It will happen at some point without putting any undue pressure on her."

Susan Boyle is a Free, Hopefully Sane Woman

Now, her career can begin...

Almost a week after she was upset in the Britain's Got Talent finals, Susan Boyle has left the mental health care facility into which she was checked last Sunday.

Sources have confirmed that Boyle is no longer a patient at the London Priory Hospital. She'll continue to rest this weekend, though it's unclear if the singer will immediately return to her home in Blackburn, Scotland.

Next week, Boyle will meet with 19 Management, Simon Cowell and Sony BMG to discuss her recording contract and impending album. Score!

"Susan wants to get on with it now," says a source. "She's not quitting - those rumors are rubbish.

Publicist Says Susan Boyle "Should Be Fine"

While the public is still recovering from Susan Boyle's shocking second place finish on Britain's Got Talent, the singer herself has had more pressing concerns with which to deal:

She was hospitalized, due to physical and mental exhaustion, soon after the competition ended.

Fortunately, the popular finalist is doing well, a rep for judge Simon Cowell told the Associated Press today.

"Provided she's given a few days and then allowed to be as normal as possible, she should be fine," Max Clifford said. "All she wants to do is sing."

And that's all the public wants her to do. Clifford added that fans can be assured of a Susan Boyle album reaching the States in the near future; Cowell will see to it.

"She's going to have potentially huge album sales, particularly in America. Americans absolutely love her," Clifford said. "Everyone wants her on their show singing. That gives her massive potential, and Simon will make sure she has the best songs and the best productions."

Susan Boyle: Exhausted, Hospitalized

All of a sudden, finishing second on Britain's Got Talent is the least of Susan Boyle's worries.

The singing sensation was rushed to the hospital a day after Saturday's finale, as judge Piers Morgan said:

"I spoke to her yesterday for about half an hour and she's fine. She's gone in for some rest. She needs to get away from everyone – get away from the show, from the media, the public, and just have a bit of down time to herself."

He added that Boyle entered the hospital entirely of her own volition and wished her a speedy recovery.

"Nobody, and I stress this, has had to put up with the kind of attention that Susan has. And no one could have predicted it – so we entered uncharted territory," Morgan said.

Susan Boyle Finishes Second on Britain's Got Talent

And we thought Kris Allen's victory over Adam Lambert was an upset...

World-renowned Britain's Got Talent contestant Susan Boyle failed to win her reality competition this season, falling to dance troupe Diversity in the finals.

The acrobatic group's performance was described by judge Simon Cowell as "utter perfection."

"If I had to give marks on that, that is the only performance tonight I would want to give a 10 to," Cowell said.
