Former Alaska Gov. and V.P. candidate Sarah Palin was given a temporary restraining order against 18-year-old Shawn Christy for stalking and harassing her.

Dude bought a gun and sent Palin the receipt. Definitely smart when dealing with a major political figure. He also wrote to her about his "evil and wickedness."

Her lawyer Tom Van Flein says that the Palins took the teen’s threats “very seriously.” Palin and her friend, Kristan Cole, both "felt intimidated and threatened."

STALKED: Not cool. Just watch Fox News next time, Shawn.

“Let's be clear. It was a lot more than just talk," Van Flein said. "He purchased a gun then sent the receipts. After he called [Cole] we decided to take action."

They took action "because we feared for their safety and we acted swiftly in getting the restraining order to protect both women from this individual.”

Christy allegedly sent e-mails and letters to Palin for more than a year, but claims that he flew to Anchorage from his Pennsylvania home sounded the alarm.

She's totally the type do it.

So says an insider familiar with Brittney Jones, the 21-year old woman who has told Star Magazine she had an affair with Ashton Kutcher. That tabloid has run stories on the scandal for two weeks running, as pictured below:

  • Breaking Ashton News!
  • Cheating Cover

Speaking to Radar Online, this anonymous source doesn't paint a flattering portrait of Jones. He/she claims Brittney "has always been obsessed with Ashton" and once said he "was by far the number one celebrity she'd like to have sex with."

If that's true, we know why.

Shannon Sharpe will step aside from broadcasting duties after Michele Bundy accused the former NFL great of forcing her to have sex and threatening her life.

The CBS Sports analyst and former tight end is taking leave from the network in light of these unsettling allegations leveled against him, according to reports.

Derek Lowe Mug Shot

Sharpe's accuser claims that he "forced [her] to have sex with him," "threatens her life" and "places her under surveillance and calls to say he is watching her."

(NOT) SHARPE SHOOTER: Shannon won three Super Bowl titles with the Broncos and Ravens. He's facing at least that many criminal complaints from Michele Bundy.

The petition for a restraining order against Sharpe was discovered on Friday, but Sharpe still appeared on TV two days later as part of CBS's weekend NFL coverage.

Sharpe joined CBS in 2004 after finishing a 13-year NFL career. At the time of his retirement, he held the all-time record for career receiving yards for a tight end.

It's worth noting that Sharpe has not been charged with a crime or arrested, but these are serious charges. Unlike the Ines Sainz story, this is no laughing matter.

** UPDATE: Officials in Fulton County, Georgia have dismissed the restraining order against Sharpe and there is no investigation pending.

But, in truly shocking news, this is not the craziest example of behavior exhibited by this reality star over the last couple weeks.

Jacqueline Laurita on Bravo

Presenting the face you'd least want to see out your window.

Sources tell the latest issue of Life & Style that Danielle is determined to appear on the next season of this Bravo hit, despite the fact that she's been fired by producers. How would she accomplish this goal? By stalking her castmates, of course.

"She spends her days driving around Franklin Lakes, slowing down outside her co-stars' houses," an insider told the tabloid, while a second added: "None of them needed security before. But now everyone's nervous."

NOTE: For once, this Jennifer Aniston news is actually true - and scary.

The actress has been granted a restraining order against Jason Peyton, a man arrested after prowling around her Hollywood Hills house last week.

He had a sharp object and duct tape with him at the time ... yikes.

Peyton was found on July 15, "laying-in-wait in a location he believes she frequents." Aniston's lawyer says he spent eight days trying to find her.

"Peyton is an obsessed, mentally ill, delusional stalker - with a history of violence and criminal stalking - who drove cross-country in his delusional 'mission' to locate and marry [Jen], with whom he believes he is in a relationship," court documents say.

Unlike most Jennifer Aniston gossip we pass along to readers, breaking news of her alleged stalker's arrest is no laughing matter. [Photo: PacificCoastNewsOnline.com]

The stalker was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold and must stay 100 yards away from her home, places of work, vehicles, employees and reps.

Peyton, who has been institutionalized before, has been ordered to take antipsychotic drugs but authorities say he stopped taking them in March.

He believes he's related to Oprah, Jay-Z, Jennifer Lopez, Courteney Cox, Bill and Melinda Gates, President George Bush (both) and Donald Trump.

LAPD's Threat Management Unit is involved in the case.

Sounds serious. Here's hoping Jen finds comfort in the arms of new boyfriend Chris Gartin, or in the fact that she's going to be a mom! Again!

Sarah Palin is understandably far from pleased that writer Joe McGinniss rented the house next door to her while authoring a book about the former governor.

But stalking allegations? Really, Sarah? That's pretty low ... but from someone who demands straws that bend at speaking engagements, are you shocked?

McGinniss said on the Today show this morning that despite accusations from the political lightning rod, he's not harassing them. Quite the opposite, in fact.

"If I lived here and did something creepy, if I did what Sarah Palin is suggesting, that would be creepy," McGinniss said. "I'm not observing them at all."

"I don't care what they do in the privacy of their own home," he continued. "I'm here to talk to people who have known them for 40 years in Wasilla."

McGinniss claims he got a good deal on a rental that happens to border the Palins' property, and would have taken it if "Sarah Palin lived on the moon."

WELCOME TO WASILLA! Sarah Palin is far from pleased with her new neighbor.

True or not, the 67-year-old writer is next door, leaving the maverick concerned for her privacy and questioning McGinniss's motives ... on Facebook, natch.

"Wonder what kind of material he'll gather while overlooking Piper's bedroom, my little garden, and the family's swimming hole?" Sarah Palin wrote online.

McGinniss denies he did any of that, or that he is trying to drum up publicity for his book, claiming he told no one outside his family where he was living.

"Then Sarah hysterically puts up this Facebook page with all sorts of ugly innuendo, which frankly is revolting," he says. "She has created all the publicity."

McGinniss, known mostly as a true-crime writer, has reportedly received death threats thanks to Palin triggering outrage from right-wing media outlets.

Palin "unleashed the hounds of hell," he says, comparing her tactics to that of Nazi troopers in the '30s. Maybe he should send over a nice fruit basket?

Creepy Michael David Barrett stalked Erin Andrews last year. He ended up costing ESPN a lot of money in extra security costs for its employee as a result.

Money the network wants back.

ESPN wants the perv who shot the peephole video of Erin Andrews nude to cough up more than $300,000 to help pay for the mess he's caused everyone.

Andrews, a sideline reporter for ESPN and current Dancing with the Stars hopeful, received an unrelated round of death threats earlier this year as well.

DANCING HEAT: Erin Andrews' profile has only grown since.

According to federal documents filed yesterday in California, the network claims they have to cough up a ton of cash to pay for extra security for Andrews.

ESPN also claims they incurred losses "from assisting the government in its investigation" and demands Barrett pay back ALL of the $327,442.27.

Michael David Barrett pleaded guilty to one count of being a dirty individual stalking Andrews last year and began serving a 30-month sentence May 3.

A hearing on the ESPN matter is set for June 7.

It's not easy being a gorgeous ESPN sideline reporter.

You may get paired with Maksim Chmerkovskiy on Dancing with the Stars, but you'll also get nakedly peeped at by a shady dude in the hotel room next door to you.

Now, news has broken of an even more dangerous situation involving Erin Andrews: multiple sources confirm that a man from Virginia has been sending threatening emails to her since September.

Andrews and her attorney, Marshall Grossman, only recently discovered the messages existed, as they were sent to The Dan Patrick Show (an ESPN program) and kept from Erin until this week.

The emails focus on the case of Michael David Barrett, who was sentenced last month to over two years in federal prison for secretly shooting nude videos of Andrews.

"He refers to Barrett in his e-mail in a way to make clear to us that situation had some influence," Grossman said, adding that the FBI has been notified.

Erin and Maksim

Security on Dancing with the Stars will be increased for Andrews. Why? Just look at how scary and disgusting a few of the emails are:

  • "Dear Dan: I hope Erin Andrews gets murdered in L.A." (3/29/10)
  • "I hope she gets shot in the face. I would love to see if she can dance away from a hail of gunfire. That would really make my day." (3/26/10)
  • "I would love to get close enough to her to show her my suicide vest." (3/14/10)

We'll keep readers apprised of this revolting story as more revelations come to light.

Zachary Loring is not a fellow you would term, say, normal.

A judge pretty much told Audrina Patridge's stalker as much.

Audrina, Lauren and Lauren

Amazingly, you go off on one profanity-laced tirade in open court and you end up a prime candidate for a psychiatric evaluation. Who knew? Well, besides DMX?

That's precisely what happened to the dude harassing Audrina Patridge after a judge-directed verbal lambasting resulted in a suspension of his criminal case.

Zachary Loring, who's been loitering at the home of Audrina multiple times, tried to enter a guilty plea to one count of felony stalking The Hills star. He tried.

His attorney then objected, and after the judge sided with the lawyer and refused to accept the plea, Loring absolutely erupted, tearing the judge a new one.

Always prudent. He also went off on a judge last month too.

Immediately after the flare-up, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge William Ryan suspended the hearing, ordered Loring to undergo no less than two evaluations.

He was then returned to police custody, where he is being held on $150,000 bail. A competency hearing is set for April 13. We wouldn't bet on him passing.

"You are a sexual predator, a sexual deviant. They should lock you up."

With these words, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews tore into Michael David Barrett, the stalker who pleaded guilty in December to following her to at least three cities and shooting nude videos of her through hotel peepholes without her consent.

"You violated me and you violated all women," Erin said told the total creep and now convicted stalker, who was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison for videotaping her.

The Illinois insurance executive gave a tearful apology for the peephole video of Erin Andrews nude, but it fell upon deaf ears and was harshly rebuked by his victim.

In fact, Andrews urged q judge at the hearing to levy an even harsher sentence against Barrett and said that she now fears for her life every time she enters a hotel.

After the sentencing, she said, "Thirty months isn't enough."

NOT ENOUGH: Erin says the perv's 30-month sentence doled out yesterday is not nearly long enough for his creepy behavior. We find it hard to argue with her there.

Michael Barrett, who has until May 3 to surrender, was ordered to have supervised probation for three years after his release and is prohibited from contacting Erin.

He will not be allowed to stay in a hotel without approval of a probation officer and if he accepts employment somewhere, Andrews will be notified by the court.

You can watch Erin Andrews in less creepy fashion beginning next week, when she joins the cast of Dancing with the Stars. Last week, we sized up her chances.
