Jason Collins became the first openly homosexual athlete in major American team sports when he came out as gay in Sports Illustrated last month.

To hear Charles Barkley tell it, the operative word is "openly."

The response to Collins’ decision has been overwhelmingly positive, but the concept of playing with a gay player is still a major talking point in sports.

Barkley said on The Dan Patrick Show that he has played with 3-4 gay men during his 16-year career, and those are just the players he knows about.

Dr. Phil's production company is suing Gawker Media over its use of an interview with Ronaiah Tuiasosopo, the man behind the Manti Te'o girlfriend hoax.

The suit claims the company, via its sports blog Deadspin, posted the best parts of the interview online before it had aired in the majority of Dr. Phil markets.

The lawsuit also criticizes the entire "system" of content aggregation.

"A remora is a fish, sometimes called a suckerfish, which attaches itself to other fish like sharks," reads the legal complaint filed this week in Texas.

"The host fish gains nothing from the relationship but the remora is enriched by obtaining benefits (usually food and transportation) from the host."

They already confirmed their romance on Facebook, but Tiger Woods and Lindsey Vonn made their public debut as a couple at last night's MET Gala.

Now the most buzzed-about and clicked-on couple in sports is official in a way that only a joint red carpet appearance can make you official. Take a look:

Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods were guests of Vogue at the high-fashion NYC soiree.

It is known in the couture industry as the "night of nights" or something along those lines.

In any case, the world's #1 golfer looked happy to be there, and with his new girlfriend.

Understandable, as she was the second hottest SI cover girl there after Kate Upton.

He is no longer married to Kim Kardashian, but that isn't stopping Kris Humphries from acting like an idiot.

According to Us, the Brooklyn Nets power forward partied late into the night Friday, remaining at New York City club Beauty & Essex until at least 1 a.m.

Why was this a problem? Because his team played the Chicago Bulls in Game 7 of the playoffs Saturday in Brooklyn, and went on to lose, 99-93.

Humphries was reportedly at the hotspot to celebrate his older sister's 30th birthday, dancing and acting like... well, Kris Humphries.

The saga of Tim Tebow continues today with a White House petition in which fans of the maligned QB urge the Obama administration to take action immediately.

Specifically, they want the White House to force the NFL's Jacksonville Jaguars to sign Tebow, who was cut loose by the New York Jets last month.

Fans of Tebow have started a petition to President Obama, asking that he step in and make a personal call to Jaguars general manager David Caldwell.

However, the petition does not just stop there, and the fans will only be satisfied if Tim Tebow is signed and guaranteed a starting place in the team.

The Laker added "As his peers we have to support him, just rally around him."

After the Houston Rockets upset the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of their NBA playoff series, CSN Houston had a lot to discuss on its postgame show.

Namely the toddler with its pants down wandering out onto the empty OKC floor and straight into the middle of the network's live camera shot.

Check out the awesome clip from Wednesday's late night coverage:

It's unclear who the offending youngster belongs to ... but pretty funny. The only thing lacking here? An impromptu rendition of "Pants on the Ground."

No word on whether another half-naked toddler will attempt to video bomb TV coverage of this evening's pivotal Game 6 in Houston. We can only hope.
