Another stunning upset has taken place at Wimbledon.

With Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer already out on the men's side, Serena Williams became the latest highly-ranked player to fall to a relative unknown today, as Sabine Lisicki took out the top seed in straight sets.

Lisicki won 6-2, 1-6, 6-4, putting an end to Serena's 34-match winning streak and advancing to the quarterfinals for the second straight year at this Grand Slam event.

She pulled off the upset despite being down 3-0 in the final set.

Lisicki fought back and broke herself to go up 5-4, converting her second match point with a forehand winner and screaming in ecstasy after the unexpected win.

"I'm still shaking," Lisicki said in a post-match interview, tears forming in her eyes. "I'm just so happy... Serena played a fantastic match. She's such a tough opponent. Just an amazing feeling to win this match."

The Seattle Mariners are 35-47, 13 games out of first place in the American League West.

They have made very little noise on the field.

But the team generated a number of headlines yesterday after flying the gay pride flag during a home game at Safeco Field, honoring the landmark Supreme Court decisions of the week: dismissing Prop 8 in California and striking down DOMA.

Pride Flag

The move came on the same day as Seattle's 39th annual Pride Parade, with the flag waving atop the pole typically reserved for the Washington Nationals.

"#Mariners make history, becoming first major professional team to fly Pride flag, today at Safeco Field," TV reporter Chris Daniels Tweeted along with the above photo.

Most folks admire the Mariners for making such a gesture, while critics say a baseball game should be free from politics.

What do you think of the gay pride flag flying?

Police are confident that Aaron Hernandez had the means and opportunity to kill Odin Lloyd, and believe they have sufficient evidence of each.

Motive, however, has been a mystery throughout the investigation of the former NFL star, though a second case has given police a new angle.

Aaron Hernandez Handcuffed

Officials think Lloyd may have had information about Hernandez that the tight end felt would destroy his relationship with his fiancee and the Patriots.

There are several operating theories, but a prevailing one is that Lloyd "mouthed off" to Hernandez about "secrets" Aaron had told him in the past.

Those secrets, police believe, concern Aaron's involvement in drugs and his involvement in several violent incidents - possibly two other murders.

After defeating the Boston Bruins to win the Stanley Cup this week, the Chicago Blackhawks took out a full-page ad in the rival city's Boston Globe.

The purpose: To thank the Bruins, their fans and Boston itself.

Bruins Open Letter

Pretty classy gesture by the Blackhawks, especially after celebrating their Cup victory on Boston's home ice with a dramatic Game 6 clincher.

Win like men, lose like men. Both goals can certainly be elusive.

But based on the contents of this letter, it appears the members of both NHL finalists did just that, along with the fans of the 2011 champion Bruins.

Good sportsmanship at its finest. Refreshing, wouldn't you say?

The murder case against former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez has shocked the country, but those who know him well say to reserve judgment.

Aaron Hernandez Arrest Photo

He was a fun-loving teenager at Bristol Central High School, where he followed in the footsteps of his older brother, D.J., a tight end at the University of Connecticut.

Some recall him struggling with the death of his father, Dennis, in 2006, but staying determined to become a pro athlete, spending hours working out before and after school.

As Bristol police assist Massachusetts investigators, arresting one local man as a fugitive from justice, the community is left to ponder the fall of the hometown hero.

Lance Armstrong says he doped because everyone else did, winning was impossible without it, and he's only scrutinized because he was the best at it.

Lance Armstrong Running

The disgraced cyclist's admission to Oprah about using performance-enhancing drugs tried to appear apologetic, but a lot of people didn't buy it.

Now that time has passed, Armstrong is being a lot more direct in an interview with France's Le Monde, admitting that he "didn't invent doping."

He was just better at it than everyone else.

New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez may be only slightly better at throwing a football than Tim Tebow, but he's a lot better at making scandalous headlines.

We can thank his rigorous offseason training regimen for that.

An online video of Sanchez dancing naked (or at least bare-bottomed) with two scantily clad women in Napa Valley, Calif., has surfaced on Vine.

  • Alana Kari Photo

Alana Kari, the cleavage-baring babe featured in the clips, is the one who uploaded the partying videos to her Vine account before deleting them promptly.

Thank you, Alana.

The video, in which you can see Mark Sanchez shirtless and dropping trou amidst music, wine bottles and smoke, can be seen after the jump:

Sorry, Boston. Kris Humphries is your problem now.

In the biggest trade of a crazy NBA Draft, the ex-husband of Kim Kardashian was dealt to the Celtics as part of a Brooklyn Nets package that also includes Gerald Wallace and three future picks.

In exchange? The Nets picked up future Hall of Famers Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

Former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez is being investigated for two additional murders, a shocking new report from ABC News indicates.

The NFL tight end, who police believe murdered Odin Lloyd this month, and who was cut from his team Wednesday, may be linked to a recent drive-by.

Aaron Hernandez spent the night in jail after authorities led him from his North Attleboro, Mass., home and then charged him in the murder of Lloyd, 27.

Lloyd's body was found in an industrial park about a mile from Hernandez's house, and officials believe the football player orchestrated his execution.
