Former New York Yankees pitcher Hideki Irabu has been found dead in his California home. The native of Okinawa, Japan was just 42 years old.

It appears he committed suicide by hanging himself, according to reports. The L.A. County Coroner's office is trying to locate next of kin.

Former NBA star Jalen Rose and current ESPN analyst was just sentenced to 20 days in jail following his DUI arrest in Michigan this spring.

Rose crashed his car into a ditch, driving along an icy road with a female passenger when he lost control of his vehicle and flipped the car.

Jeret "Speedy" Peterson, a freestyle skier who won a silver medal at the 2010 Olympics, killed himself on Monday night. He was 29 years old.

Salt Lake County Unified Police told KTVB that Peterson actually phoned cops on Monday night to inform them of his whereabouts. His body was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot.
