We're not sure if this is awesome, gross or just plain weird, but Dennis Rodman is going to be holding tryouts for a topless women's basketball team in New York City.

The Basketball Hall of Famer will be trying out and coaching a team fielding exotic dancers from Headquarters Gentleman Club, in hopes of playing a HOT charity game against what appears to be another topless women's basketball club.

This is very random and actually happening.

Dennis Rodman Pic

The NBA bad boy dreamed up the team after hearing that rival strip joint Rick's Cabaret launched a league with former Atlanta Hawks standout Spud Webb, who runs the Texas Legends, an NBA Development League team.

Rodman is challenging Rick's Cabaret's topless team to a charity game.

"I don't know too many men that don't like a good-looking woman running up and down around the basketball court," Rodman said.

Really? Are men SO desperate to see boobs that they'll pay to watch (presumably bad) basketball game to do so? Just peep these Lindsay Lohan pictures instead. Geez.

And what is Rodman doing? Didn't he talk about being a better husband and father in his Hall of Fame speech? So many questions, so few answers regarding the Worm.

Here's some good news for Kris Humphries: the reality star/power forward won't be getting booed in Boston tomorrow night.

The bruising Nets starter sat out yesterday's game against the Nets due to a sore shoulder, and coach Avery Johnson says an MRI is scheduled for Kim Kardashian's ex, who won't even accompany the team to Beantown this week.

"Hopefully we'll get some good news," Johnson said. "It's not looking good right now because he barely can move his shoulder, so again we'll have to hope and pray it's nothing serious."

Following a season-opening victory, New Jersey has dropped five straight. Humphries is averaging 12.4 points an 10 rebounds per game in the early going, hearing boos everywhere he goes on the road.

Things aren't much better in Kris' personal life, as E! aired the Kourtney and Kim Take New York episode this week in which Humphries gets into trouble by questioning Jonathan Cheban's sexual orientation.

From gold medals to gold wedding bands: Figure skating champion Johnny Weir and boyfriend Victor Voronov tied the knot on New Year's Eve, the former says.

"I'm married!" he Tweeted. "No more livin' in sin!"

While "all the official stuff is done," the openly gay figure skater, 27, said there will be a wedding in the summer. Congratulations to the newlyweds ...

Johnny Weir and Victor Voronov

Among those offering up their congratulations to the couple upon hearing the surprise news: Former The Real Housewives of New York City star Jill Zarin.

While Weir has made news for butting heads - namely with Olympic gold medalist Evan Lysacek - he said that Voronov was "everything that I've ever looked for."

Weir wasn't the only one gushing about life, either.

"Ringing in the New Year with my new hubby," Voronov, a Georgetown law school graduate, according to his Twitter, wrote with a telling hashtag: "#ELATED."

Revelers everywhere celebrated New Year's Eve watching Dick Clark attempt a countdown, listening to music, drinking champagne or, in some cases, kissing Lady Gaga.

Injured Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, meanwhile, spent Saturday night in the hospital. That's no fun, but at least he had a sense of humor about it.

The perennial fantasy football stud wrecked his knee in the Vikings' win over Washington on Christmas Eve, ending his season. He had successful knee surgery Friday.

That meant celebrating New Year's in bed, but Peterson was still in a festive mood:

Hopefully the hospital staff let Adrian enjoy that ice cream. Give the guy a break!

The debate between LeBron James and Michael Jordan was settled perfectly by Jason Segel's character in Bad Teacher. One basketball legend has six championships, the other zero. Case closed.

But the debate between Savannah Brinson and Yvette Prieto is just getting underway.

The former is the mother of LeBron's two children, as well as his new fiancee, following an early Sunday morning proposal. Prieto, meanwhile, is a Cuban/American model who agreed to marry Jordan last week. Compare the beauties below and decide:

Which would you rather back down in the post... if you know what we mean?

And the Winner is?

Compare the fiancees of LeBron James and Michael Jordan now. Which would you rather take strong to the hole? View Poll »

In case it wasn't clear just who came out on top in the Kris Humphries/Kim Kardashian divorce, consider:

The latter spent this weekend in Las Vegas, hosting a party at Tao in Las Vegas and making serious bank in the process. Humphries, meanwhile? He and the New Jersey Nets visited Cleveland and were blown out by the Cavs, 98-82, falling to 1-4 on the young season.

Kris was once again booed heartily by an opposing crowd, and he couldn't silence the jeers with his play. Following a performance last season where he set s Quicken Loans Arena record with 23 rebounds, Humphries only managed 11 points and five boards yesterday afternoon.

But he doesn't have time to dwell on those stats or on his team's poor play. He and the Nets play the Pacers this evening in Indiana.

LeBron James has made no secret of his admiration for Michael Jordan.

But we didn't realize just how badly The King wanted to be like His Airness. Until now: a few days after Jordon proposed to Yvette Prieto, the Heart superstar did the same to Savannah Brinson, his high school sweetheart and the mother of his two children.

Savannah Brinson with LeBron James

The proposal took place at a New Year’s Eve party at Shelborne South Beach’s SL Nightclub in Miami, sources confirm, a day after James turned 27 years old.

“Congrats to LeBron. @KingJames and Savannah so happy 4 u guys,” Miami Heat owner Micky Arison Tweeted last night.

LeBron James capped off his 26th birthday in style last night.

The star made a brilliant inbounds pass to a streaking Dwyane Wade, who converted an alley-oop lay-up in the closing seconds to lift the Miami Heat to 4-0 Friday.

The visiting Heat needed this improbable ending to get the job done, but thanks to James and Wade, they outlasted the scrappy Minnesota Timberwolves, 103-101.

Lame Heat intro video aside, Miami may live up to the hype this year ...

Brock Lesnar went down hard against kickboxer Alistair Overeem in the first round at UFC 141 last night. A few minutes later, he announced his retirement.

The former heavyweight champion finished his own meteoric mixed martial arts career on a losing note at Friday's Ultimate Fighting Championship event.

Lesnar retired from the UFC after Overeem stopped him with one vicious kick to the body at 2:26 of the first round in their much-touted heavyweight bout.

"Tonight is the last time you'll see me in the octagon," Lesnar said.

That leaves the UFC heading into 2012 without its biggest star.

Even though he fought only seven times in the UFC, Lesnar was a pay-per-view audience magnet because of his compelling past as a WWE "champion."

He reigned as heavyweight champ, headlined UFC 100, generated the most Internet traffic of any MMA fighter and actually has fights left on his contract.

UFC President Dana White and Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta took the high road with Lesnar even after the fighter blew off the post-fight news conference.

White said, "When a guy decides he wants to retire, you let him do it. This is not, 'Go hit a ball with a stick for the next two or three years on your way out.'"

"This is the real deal, guys. Â…We'll figure it out." He said regardless of how many fights Lesnar has on his contract, "Doesn't matter. If he's done, he's done."
