Kwame Harris, a former offensive lineman for the 49ers, confirmed last week that he is gay.

But Brendon Ayanbadejo - a special teams standout released this month by the Baltimore Ravens - says we should expect a lot more movement on this front in the near future.

"We're in talks with a handful of players who are considering [coming out]," Ayanbadejo tells The Baltimore Sun.

"There are up to four players being talked to right now and they're trying to be organized so they can come out on the same day together. It would make a major splash and take the pressure off one guy. It would be a monumental day if a handful or a few guys come out."

As if Kate Middleton weren't cool enough, she showed off her sporty side playing ping pong and basketball at a community center in Scotland yesterday.

While six months pregnant, mind you!

She and Prince William duked it out at the Donald Dewar Leisure Centre in Glasgow, partaking in a game of table tennis, much to the delight of local residents.

The mom-to-be, who revealed her due date earlier in the day, also put her basketball skills on display by shooting some hoops, and wasn't terrible!

William and Kate are on a two-day tour for their foundation, which hopes to foster a new generation of young sports coaches, among other noble efforts.

The athletic royals scored big with this visit!

It's not about ... the pool? Disgraced cyclist Lance Armstrong is planning to return to competitive sports this weekend ... as a middle-distance swimmer.

He'll compete in the Masters South Central Zone Swimming Championships in Texas, which aren't subject to USA or World Anti-Doping Agency codes.

Lanced

Lance Armstrong was stripped of his seven Tour de France titles after deciding not to defend the litany of doping charges filed against him last August.

This weekend, he is set to compete in freestyle races of 500 yards, 1,000 yards and 1,650 yards at the swimming event held in his home city of Austin.

It's either a belated April Fools’ Day prank, or just hilarious viral marketing for Oakley, but the company has teamed up with Bubba Watson on a new project:

Bubba's Hover, the golf cart of the future!

Watson and Oakley created the BW1, a prototype hovercraft that solves some of the issues with traditional golf carts. Staying on cart paths, namely.

With Bubba's Hover, you can drive on the green without damaging it, move across sand and water without any issues, and go really, really fast.

It's a hovercraft, after all. Says Watson in the video:

“Let’s go through the water hazard, come off the other side right back by the green, putt your ball in the hole, and drive back across the water hazard."

“And honestly, who doesn’t want to do that?”

The 2012 Masters winner raises a valid point.
