NBA action. It's fantastically insane, 24/7/365.

Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson was ejected from Monday's game against the Portland Trail Blazers after getting into an unusual argument with a referee.

As Portland's J.J. Hickson swished the first of two free throws late in the third quarter, both Johnson and referee David Jones went to retrieve the ball.

After Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade dropped 26 points on 11-13 shooting last night in a 101-92 win over the Atlanta Hawks, teammate LeBron James was fired up.

So much so, he uncharacteristically called out one of Wade's loudest critics.

Bron and Bark

"It means Charles Barkley needs to shut up," James said in response to a question of what Wade's performance meant to the team and to the All-Star himself.

  1. F--k
  2. Him

K-Mart blasted the VH1 hit recently, saying the show was "toxic" and a "total misrepresentation" of the lives of married NBA players. That didn't sit well with Ev.

Chris Wilcox is apparently not a big fan of the "Kiss Cam."

After seeing himself on the scoreboard as part of pro sports' ubiquitous mid-timeout entertainment traditon, the Boston Celtics reserve big man made his displeasure clear.

By flipping off the camera and 18,000 fans watching.

Wilcox was serenaded by boos and received an earful from an assistant coach moments after the gesture, which occurred inside Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.

It looks like the Jets season isn't the only thing Scotty McKnight has to be depressed about. Sources reveal that McKnight and Hayden Panettiere have called it quits

Hayden Panettiere and Scotty McKnight at ESPYs

The duo supposedly split amicably a few weeks ago. After all, the pair looked happy when they attended the American Music Awards just last month.

A source told TMZ that, "they will probably be back together sometimes down the road."

In the meantime, we suppose Hayden will just continue being hot on Nashville, while the Jets will continue to underachieve and look not so hot in the AFC East.

Tracy McGrady's Chinese Basketball Association debut is off to a terrific start.

The former NBA star turned Qingdao Eagles swingman was taunted by an opponent, the Beijing Ducks' Ji Zhe, who nailed a three and wagged his finger at McGray.

McGrady replied by elbowing and knocking down Zhe. Obviously.

Looks like T-Mac is bringing some of that NBA swagger overseas.

In today's sports media world, words like "greatest," "legendary," "epic," or "all-time" are overused to say the least. This clip may be an appropriate cause for superlatives, however.

When Appalachian State center Brian Okam stepped to the free throw line Saturday against Western Carolina, he put worth what was easily the worst attempt in history:

Words really can't describe the greatness of that video. The free throw line is 15 feet from the plane of the backboard in NCAA play. Okam's shot made it maybe five.

Perhaps the ball slipped out of his hand? Or he was distracted by something?

Amazingly, he was not asked about it after the game, but the Western Carolina TV analyst calling the game summed it up best: "I'm not sure what that was. Good lord."

SIDE NOTE: WCU won 70-64, adding injury to insult for Brian.
