Anna Olson is a junior at Lewis Palmer high school in Monument, Colorado.

And she may not have a full grasp of the clock... but, man, can this young basketball player heave a ball down the court and have it bounce off the floor and into the basket to (sort of) close out the third quarter!

That's exactly what went down in a game this week against Cheyenne Mountain.

Check out the incredible play here, which should actually only count for two points:

Kobe Bryant has come a long way.

In 2011, the legendary shooting guard was fined by the NBA for referring to a referee as a "f-cking f-ggot" after a perceived bad call.

Fast forward two years and the Lakers are awful. We mean, Kobe has clearly learned from his mistake.

Kobe Bryant on the Red Carpet

In response to a beef between two Twitter users yesterday, Bryan interjected and wrote:

"Just letting you know@PacSmoove @pookeo9 that using "your gay" as a way to put someone down ain't ok! #notcool delete that out ur vocab."

Written that way, it's also grammatically incorrect.

Despite having 41 PGA Tour wins (ninth all-time) including four majors, there's just something normal about Phil Mickelson that makes the golf great incredibly popular.

So when he does stuff like fall down the rocks at Pebble Beach while looking for his ball down by the ocean after an errant drive, you can't help but smile/laugh:

This is up there for best sports clip of the weekend, along with Kevin Durant kissing a fan. Phil was alright, physically, although his game was off all week.

Mickelson finished 18 shots back of winner Brandt Snedeker at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in California, just one week after winning in Phoenix.

He's averaging 28.9 points per game this season, along with a career-high 7.5 rebounds per contest and he's on pace to shoot 90% from the foul line; 50% from the field; and 40% from three.

But this is the sort of act that has truly endeared Kevin Durant to professional basketball fans:

During the third quarter of last week's game against the Clippers, a pass was deflected out of bounds - and into the face of an elderly woman sitting courtside.

So Durant walked over, gave the woman a peck on the cheek and then continued to dominate the contest. Your move, LeBron James...

USA women's soccer star Alex Morgan channels her inner Katy Perry in the new ESPN the Magazine, which is devoted to the worlds of music and sports.

In the publication, which also features an interesting Ryan Lochte Nirvana homage, Alex makes like Katy on the singer's "One of the Boys" cover:

  • Alex Morgan as Katy Perry
  • Katy Perry 'One of the Boys' Cover

Sports Illustrated wins for featuring Alex Morgan nude last year, but wow.

These two ladies may or may not be one of the boys, but the Olympic champion, 23, and pop superstar, 28, clearly know how to drive the boys crazy.

The obvious question: Who's hotter?!
