Over-confidence can be a very dangerous attribute.

That's the main takeaway from an amazing video that has been viewed over two million times on YouTube. It pits two boxers against one another. Their names? The location? Both unclear.

But one bruiser gets hit a few times, only to shake off the blows and taunt his opponent. That's all you got? I feel no pain! Bring it on, he essentially says.

Cue a left hook and the trash talker is instantly seeing stars:

Very sad news today out of the sports world.

Pascual Perez, who pitched in the Major Leagues for 11 seasons and played for such teams as the Montreal Expos and New York Yankees, was stabbed to death during a home invasion in the Dominican Republic. He was 55.

Multiple news outlets have confirmed the death, with some speculating Perez was targeted for the $2,000 MLB pension he recently received.

Perez, who also spent time with the Pirates and Braves, posted a 3.43 ERA in 1983 and made the All-Star team that season. At the time of his murder, he was receiving dialysis for liver failure.

A father of five, Perez's two brothers, Carlos and Melido, also played professional baseball.

It has all come crashing down for Lance Armstrong.

In the face of new drug charges and having been stripped of seven Tour de France titles, Armstrong was fired this week from his role as a Nike spokesperson.

"Due to the seemingly insurmountable evidence that Lance Armstrong participated in doping and misled Nike for more than a decade, it is with great sadness that we have terminated our contract with him," the company said in a statement.

UK diver Tom Daley recently scored a sponsorship from British Gas.

Perhaps in retrospect, he wishes he hadn't ... or that they'd at least reconsider the placement of their ad on his Speedo. Take a look at the image below:

British Gas

Yeah, that's pretty awkward. But it is natural gas, are we right??

Also, any publicity is good publicity. Who will forget the utility company's association with the 18-year-old phenom and the British diving team now?

The Countdown to Super Bowl XLVII is officially on.

In a selection the THG staff is crazy (in love) over, Beyonce has been chosen to perform at the big game's halftime show, sources confirm to The Associated Press.

The 31-year old sang the National Anthem prior to the same contest in Houston in 2004.

Beyonce follows such major acts on this grand stage as Britney Spears, Paul McCartney and, last season, Madonna, whose Super Bowl performance you can relive now.

What do you think? Is Beyonce is a good choice for the Super Bowl?

The NFL Network's Ian Rapoport was in the midst of discussing Sunday night's Packers-Texans game when he took a football to the face on live TV.

His reaction? Professionalism at its finest!

It's not clear whose throw landed in his grill, but you gotta respect his commitment to the cause. He doesn't even check his face to make sure he's not bleeding!
