There's just no need to post fake Kate Upton topless photos. First and foremost, the real ones are already tremendous. Second, she might sue you over the fakery.

The image-doctoring folks at Celeb Jihad found this out the hard way this week.

The phony image purports to be one of the Kate Upton bikini photos from this year's SI, with the teaser, "Kate Upton Naked Outtake From SI Swimsuit 2014."

It's clearly a fake, and it's already been taken down thanks to Upton's lawyers.

The supermodel's legal team threatened an immediate lawsuit against the celebrity gossip site and noted incredulously that the photo "has been airbrushed."

Basically, the people at Celeb Jihad are idiots. Why mess with perfection?

Emily Ratajkowski, also known as the insanely hot, completely naked model from Robin Thicke’s "Blurred Lines" video, covers up a bit for Sports Illustrated.

Relatively speaking, of course. She's still not wearing much at all in these bikini photos from the 2014 swimsuit issue. But she is sort of a little bit clothed!

Wearing anything or nothing, the 22-year-old Emily Ratajkowski is one of life’s most genetically blessed specimens, as the gallery below will attest.

And by the sounds of things, Emily's as excited about her bikini photos hitting the iconic, annual Sports Illustrated babe-fest as guys across the U.S. are.

“So excited and honored to be a rookie in @SI_swimsuit 50th anniversary issue!'" she wrote on Twitter this month after joining the 2014 SI rookie class.

Carol Alt, who covered the 1982 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, is not what you'd call impressed by 2012, 2013 and 2014 cover girl Kate Upton. Like at all.

  • Carol Alt Picture
  • Kate Upton in Black

"What I don't understand with Kate [Upton] is what's all the hullaballoo," Alt, 53, said of the 21-year-old beauty. "There are many covers of Sports Illustrated."

"I don't get what the hullabaloo is. I think what it is is that in this moment there's just so much social media and that's why she's had more word of mouth."

While she may not get the mass appeal, Alt is not dissing Kate Upton personally; Carol says she's as just as deserving of her success as the others.

Therein likes the issue, though, as far as she's concerned. The hype.

"I like Kate, she's a pretty girl," she continued. "But all the girls are nice, and all the girls are pretty. Every cover, to me, deserves to be talked about."

Well yes, but this is worthy of SOME hullaballoo ... don't you think?!

Move over, Kendall Jenner.

You aren't the only 18-year old making a major modeling impression this week.

With the Internet (understandably) ogling a new round of Kate Upton swimsuit issue photos, Gigi Hadid has sent a message with her very first bikini-based magazine spread:

What about me?!?

Don't worry, Gigi, we haven't forgotten about you. Drool over these photos now, fellas, but remember: She's only 18.

Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online to see more of Hadid - and compare her bikini body here with others from that Bravo franchise now:

Kate Upton is running it back (to back to back)! The 21-year-old beauty has landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated for the third consecutive year after all!

Sort of.

Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge grace the front cover of the 50th Anniversary issue of the SI Swimsuit edition. This year, Kate gets the back cover.

Sports Illustrated revealed the bonus backside cover featuring Kate Upton today. On it, she flaunts her cleavage in a pink bikini in the Cook Islands.

Needless to say, she's smoldering as always. The supermodel previously showed off her famous curves on the iconic swimsuit issue cover in 2012 and 2013.

If there's any doubts that she's happy for her model colleagues, Kate put them to rest, congratulating the aforementioned trio of bikini babes on Twitter.

"OMG! So happy for @LilyAldridge @chrissteigen and @NinaAgdal!!" she wrote on February 14. "What a gorgeous cover!! Loving the booty for vday."

Also gorgeous? The Kate Upton photos after the jump. Safe to say Sports Illustrated outdid itself again in its bid to accelerate climate change:

Kate Upton absolutely sizzles in Sports Illustrated once again this month, as the magazine's 2014 Swimsuit Issue features the former cover girl in all her bikini-clad glory.

It's possible Kate is getting even hotter with age ... though she is only 21.

As the cover model for the world famous magazine in 2012 and 2013, and one of SI's top "rookies" in 2011, she and the publication go back a long way.

A long and very smoldering way. Seriously, thank you Sports Illustrated.

While she passed the crown to Chrissy Teigen, Lily Aldridge and Nina Agdal for this year's cover, Kate still makes her presence felt in the annual swimsuit spectacular.

The latest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue cover is out - and it features a couple nearly naked veterans in Nina Agdal and Chrissy Teigen.

They are joined by Lily Aldridge, who is one of several hotties gracing the pages of this year's edition for the first time.

The GORGEOUS rookie class hails from around the globe, as it includes Bregje Heinen (Holland), Samantha Hoopes (Pennsylvania) and Lauren Mellor (Johannesburg, South Africa).

Don't worry, fellas: Kate Upton will still be featured in the magazine.

But feast your eyes first on the following beach-based beauties, some of whom have forgotten to even wear half their bathing suits!

Kate Upton has been dethroned, but at least it took three supermodels to do it. Nina Agdal, Lily Aldridge, and Chrissy Teigen cover the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue!

The stunning threesome appears topless and nearly bottomless, facing away from readers but looking back toward the camera and flashing million-dollar smiles.

Not sure if this can combat the polar vortex, but the SI Swimsuit Issue is always a nice February surprise in your mailbox, or inbox nowadays. Feast your eyes below:

The buzzed-about 50th anniversary cover was revealed Thursday night on Sports Illustrated‘s Swim Daily blog, before getting its TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Chrissy Teigen, who is married to R&B singer John Legend, has been Swimsuit Issue (and social media) staple in 2010, but this is the beauty's first cover.

It’s the rookie year for Lily Aldridge, a Victoria’s Secret model married to Kings of Leon member Caleb Followill, while Nina Agdal made her SI debut in 2012.

As for that Barbie Swimsuit issue cover, that was clever advertising by Mattel and SI, though it is said to wrapped around at least 1,000 copies of the magazine.

In any case, which 2014 SI cover girl is your favorite? Vote!

And it's okay, Kate Upton fans ... you'll always have these:

The cover girl for the 50th annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue has been revealed, and it's ... Barbie! Yes, the iconic, all-American doll made by Mattel!

Certainly a different choice than what we were expecting:

Barbie, whose tiny waist, endless legs, voluptuous curves and makeup have all sparked controversy of late, is flaunting her famous figure like never before.

Featured alongside supermodels like Christie Brinkley and Brooklyn Decker, Barbie is the cover girl for a campaign Sports Illustrated is calling "unapologetic."

It appears that the Barbie SI cover is not the actual cover, as it says "pomotional overwrap," but reports say it will thus be wrapped around many copies.

The magazine calls the plastic figure, "The doll that started it all."

Lisa McKnight, Mattel's senior vice president of marketing, adds:

"As a legend herself, and under constant criticism about her body and how she looks, posing ... gives Barbie and her fellow legends an opportunity to own who they are."

Emily Ratajkowski, the gorgeous model from Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" video, looks to be headed to the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue this winter.

The Thicke song was one of the year's inescapable hits, and the video featuring a topless Ratajkowski has been viewed more than 257 million times.

Not just for the catchy tune co-written by Pharrell, we're guessing.

Emily Ratajkowski Bikini Instagram
Emily Ratajkowski posts a bikini photo on Instagram and makes a play for Hottest Woman Alive status.

Such a reaction led many to speculate that Sports Illustrated would feature Ratajkowski along with Kate Upton and others in its 50th swimsuit issue February 11.

In December, SI editor MJ Day posted Instagram photos of a brunette model on a tropical shoot, though stopped short of identifying her as Emily Ratajkowski.

The same day, the model herself shared a photo from a tropical location, saying she'd arrived in "paradise." Photographer Dax Balladares then wrote, "Congrats on SI."

Time will tell if that was the spoiler we think it was ... but judging from the photo gallery above, SI would be idiots not to photograph her for this issue.

Or any issue. Here's hoping for an Emily/Kate dual cover.
