Yesterday, we reported that Vivid is putting out a Shauna Sand sex tape, but that Shauna is lawyering up, claiming they don't have permission to release it.

She admits it is just one of many sex tapes she has made with her current boyfriend, who we're pretty sure is Romain Chavent. Vivid says it's got the rights.

"We were approached by a third party with the footage" and are "comfortable with our legal position releasing the footage," the entertainment company stated.

Shauna's own stepdaughter, Shayne Lamas, called her out on this obvious PR stunt, the likes of which we have seen and reported on countless times before.

Anyone can see the footage from this "private" Shauna Sand video is of superior quality than some movies and TV shows, and the still photos are airbrushed.

As the old adage goes, if a camera crew films you from multiple angles and you stare blankly at their lenses, as if the guy isn't even there, is it even a sex tape?

In any case, we're pretty sure that soon enough, we'll be asked to remove the pictures because we are violating her right to privacy or some such nonsense.

It's a flimsy legal claim, as she clearly wants us to see her getting violated in an entirely different way, but we'll comply because it's not worth the legal fees.

Don't ask us who wants to see this anyway. It's Shauna Sand. You can do better. Seriously. Think Heidi Montag, but like 15 years (and plastic surgeries) later.

You knew it was a only a matter of time. A Shauna Sand sex tape apparently exists. And is apparently on the verge of being released in just a matter of days.

Coincidentally, her ex-husband and his family just made their reality TV debut with E!'s stupefying new Leave it to Lamas last night! What crazy timing, right?!

While Lorenzo, A.J., and Shayne Lamas star in what is probably the most random and lame reality show in history (a bold statement in this era of For the Love of Ray J 2) Shauna Sand has admitted starring in a sex tape.

Her "defense" is almost as revealing as the tape itself, however.

Vivid Entertainment has acquired the Shauna Sand sex tape, featuring the former Playboy model and her Miami boyfriend, and plans to release it October 19.

But not without a fake, publicity-generating fight from Shauna.

"Yes I did make a sex tape with my boyfriend earlier this year," Sand told TMZ. "In fact I've made several sex tapes, but I certainly didn't sign off on this and Vivid has no right to put it out. I am trying to get a hold of my attorney now."

Vivid founder Steven Hirsch says he's legally entitled to released the boning.

"We were approached by a third party, who brought us footage of Shauna Sand having sex with her current boyfriend and we were immediately interested in acquiring it ... We're comfortable with our legal position in releasing this footage."

It was not specified who is nailing Shauna on the alleged tape, but she has been dating - and occasionally married to - Romain Chavent. For awhile, too.

Shauna Sand is the father of three of Lorenzo Lamas' six kids, but not A.J. Lamas or The Bachelor winner Shayne Lamas, whose mom is Michele Smith.

Sand married him in 1996 and became the fourth ex-Mrs. Lamas in 2002.

Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart were recently seen on a stemy home video without pants. Or shirts. Or many functioning brain cells remaining.

Now the couple is suing the pants off the company of a celebrity gossip blog that posted the weird Eric Dane nude tape (not a sex tape) last month.

The 12-minute home video, which featured the couple along with former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche, 25, are suing for copyright infringement.

They are seeking $1 million from Gawker Media. Whether they get that sum or even have any legal recourse at all here is a different matter entirely.

In the lawsuit, Dane's lawyer, Marty Singer, argues that Gawker was warned that posting the video on Defamer.com violated the couple's legal and privacy rights, but that it "went on to maliciously distribute an uncensored copy" of the tape.

Singer suggests that the blog was trying to defame Eric Dane, with malicious intent. The blog's name is Defamer.com, so he might have a case. Right?

Nick Denton, publisher of Gawker, says not so much: "To quote the great Marty Singer – if you don't want a sex tape on the internet, 'don't make one!'"

Dane and Gayheart "were partially and sometimes fully disrobed in the video, recorded it behind locked doors in Peniche's bedroom," the lawsuit states.

But unless the tape was stolen from Dane by Gawker, is posting it online a crime? That's a legal dilemma stickier than ... oh, never mind, it's just sticky.

As for how it was released in the first place, that's a big mystery, but there's a theory that Mindy McCready stole it from Kari Ann Peniche in rehab. Really.

Kari Ann Peniche did not have sex with Eric Dane and Rebecca Gayheart, the troubled former beauty queen, who believes their nude tape was stolen from her, says.

The alleged Eric Dane sex tape, featuring the drugged-up naked trio, contains absolutely no sex, and none occurred when the camera was off, Kari Ann said.

In a statement, Dane's lawyer went out of his way to distinguish between a sex tape and a naked video. Which is not to say the 12-minute tape isn't risque.

The three played dress up and the two naked women then lounged together in a bathtub as Eric filmed them, high as kites and musing about porn names.

It's weirder than it is hot.

As for how it was leaked, Kari Ann Peniche says the nude video was stored on the hard drive of her computer, but stolen by troubled country star Mindy McCready, her roommate after the two completed a stint on the TV show Celebrity Rehab.

Kari Ann Peniche says she got into an argument with McCready over money and the singer ganked her hard drive as a result. Peniche freaked about personal info on the hard drive getting out and filed a stolen property report with the LAPD.

Peniche was kicked off Celebrity Rehab for stealing from McCready, ironically.

The disappearance of her hard drive eventually led to a meeting of reps and lawyers for Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Kari Ann and Mindy, in which Dane was granted rights to the video and everything was assumed to be resolved.

Until the Eric Dane tape surfaced on the Internet yesterday, that is.

There is another rumor going around that the nude tape surfaced as part of an official investigation into Kari Ann Peniche's alleged sex-for-hire business.

Eric Dane's lawyer wants to differentiate between a "sex tape" and a "nude tape." But whatever you want to call it, he's willing to sue you for exploiting it.

A video showing the Grey's Anatomy star, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and former Miss Teen USA Kari Ann Peniche nude and in compromising positions is ancient history, according to Marty Singer, an attorney for the married couple.

Singer says using the tape for commercial purposes will mean a big lawsuit.

In a statement released Monday shortly after the Eric Dane tape circulated, the actor's lawyer said of the (non) sex video being discussed and shown online:

"This is simply a private, consensual moment involving a married couple, shot several years ago, which was never intended to be seen by the public."

The statement continues:

"Although the participants are nude, the tape is not a sex tape. It is a private tape made for my clients' personal use, and nobody has the right to exploit it."

Singer said that "if anyone exploits the tape, they will be violating my clients' rights and will be exposed to significant liability." We don't doubt it one bit.

The attorney reiterated that the Eric Dane tape is a "private, confidential tape," and added that "from what I've seen, it's a naked tape, not a sex tape."

The third woman in the video is Kari Ann Peniche, who in 2002 was crowned Miss Teen USA but was later stripped of the title after posing for Playboy.

Kari Ann Peniche, who was once engaged to Aaron Carter and appeared on Celebrity Rehab for sex addiction, is alleged to be involved in a sex-for-hire business.

If you couldn't tell from the headline, Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane, his wife Rebecca Gayheart and former Miss Teen USA / Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche apparently engaged in a threesome and filmed a sex tape together.

A lot of drugs were apparently involved.

With every celebrity sex tape, one wonders just what the hell the participants were possibly thinking. In this case, it's pretty clear: they weren't.

Dane settles on "Tuff Hedemen" (his favorite bull rider). Soon they move to the bathroom where the ladies disrobe and Eric takes over the camera.

In truth, it's not very exciting. It is, however, very real and they are very naked.

Leighton Meester understands that being on a buzzed-about show like Gossip Girl automatically puts her in the spotlight – but she doesn't have to like it.

"I don't want most of what comes along with all of this," says the star in the September issue of Harper's Bazaar, likely referring to one thing in particular.

One downside of fame? The rumored Leighton Meester sex tape.

"[The tape] is not real, so it makes me sort of sad," says the 23-year-old Gossip Girl starlet. "It's unfortunate that it got carried as far as it did."

Meester says the rumor taught her some lessons about life.

"I definitely understand the nature of people better now and that the mere allegation of something like that could be headline news," she laments.

"People think it's real because somebody says it is."

Fortunately, Leighton Meester star has friends who watch out for her.

"I feel like my friends are in a cult because we're like, 'No outsiders!'" Meester says. "I’ve never been crazy. I'm a very good girl, to be honest. I don't do anything that would hurt anybody. Honestly, all I ever do is work."

And she's not talking about any sort of fancy footwork, either. The racy pictures from the alleged Leighton Meester sex tape sure looked like her to us.

Mark Sanford has taken the political baton of infidelity from John Edwards and run with it well. But the latter isn't about to give up without a fight!

According to reports, former Edwards aide Andrew Young says the ex-presidential candidate once made a sex tape with his mistress, Rielle Hunter.

St. Martin’s Press just inked a deal with Young, who also says in his book proposal that, contrary to his public statement last year, he is not the father of Rielle’s adorable baby daughter, Frances Quinn. Rather, John Edwards is.

John Edwards has denied this.

Young says that his belief in Edwards ran so deep that he agreed to be the fall guy for the Democratic candidate, even going so far as to invite the pregnant Rielle Hunter to live with him, his wife, Cheri, and their three kids.

After Hunter delivered the baby, Young and his family moved to a different home in California. While he was unpacking, Young discovered an odd videotape - one that involved Edwards taking positions that weren’t on his official platform.

The purported Rielle Hunter sex tape confirms that Edwards was even shadier than thought. Then again, it's hard to beat hiding in the can from the Enquirer.

Sex tape or no sex tape, Rielle Hunter confided to Andrew Young that she and Edwards talked about getting married should his cancer-stricken wife Elizabeth die.

Elizabeth Edwards is said to hold Young partly to blame for her husband’s affair, since Young knew about it and used his cell phone to conference John and Rielle.

Young says that, in revenge, Elizabeth arranged for the media to learn about a youthful misdemeanor in which Young was busted for stealing a sign from a bar.

Elizabeth Edwards also suspects Young stole the baseball card collection of her late son, Wade, according to a source who says that she told Young in an e-mail that some other former staff members “have passed lie detector tests.”

Young also contends that Edwards and 2004 running mate John Kerry clashed often, and that before he owned up to his affair with Hunter, Barack Obama promised he’d make him attorney general if he didn’t pick him as his 2008 V.P.

Since reports of an alleged Leighton Meester sex tape hit the Internet last week, the Gossip Girl actress' camp has issued no comment on the subject.

But the alleged sex tape of Leighton Meester, believed to be shot with an ex-boyfriend when she was 18, has certainly been the talk of Tinseltown.

Last week, one well-known adult site was offered it for $100,000.

"It was definitely a legitimate offer and it was from a professional who has done this before," confirmed Jim McBride, owner of MrSkin.com.

He claims some bids for the video exceeded $1 million.

Some racy photos featuring Meester performing a striptease for a boyfriend and then performing a number of sensual and erotic acts - with her feet at one point - has been plastered on and advertised by an adult site in recent days.

But it is unclear who owns the footage, or how authentic it is. No video footage from the Leighton Meester sex tape has become widely available.

"Jessica Biel is extremely popular. Not a lot of people actually saw Powder Blue but her nude scene is outstanding," added McBride. "Another one who is extremely hot now is Anna Paquin. Her sex scene on True Blood was also outstanding."

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star has temporarily stopped her ex-boyfriend Steve Zalewski from releasing a sex tape he supposedly has of them.

Wednesday, a judge ordered an injunction banning the release of sexually explicit footage featuring the troubled Staub, 46, and the shady Zalewski, 27.

Her attorney, Darren Del Sardo, said in a statement:

"We went to court in order to prohibit distribution of any tape or photograph and to temporarily restrain him from doing that, and we were successful."

The Danielle Staub sex tape was completely "unauthorized" and was "taken with his cellphone," according to the embattled prostitution whore.
