Late last week, Selena Gomez appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show.

Shockingly, she didn't pimp out any babies. Instead, she simply gushed about a friend.

“One of my favorite stories with Taylor Swift was when I was going through a very hard breakup," Selena told listeners. "She came to my house at 10:30 at night and knocked on my door. I opened it, and she had two big bags of junk food, cookies, Snickers and soda."

“She put it on the table, put her laptop on, we made a video, and she told me that now we could look forward to breakups, since we know the other one will get us junk food!”

That may be the cutest story we've ever heard. Let's hope Swift doesn't require the same treatment, though, if her rumored relationship with Cory Monteith sours.

Overall, Selena concluded about her pal: “She’s very sweet.  I feel very lucky to have her in my life."

Of course, there's another Taylor in Gomez's life. What does she think of Twilight Saga stud Taylor Lautner?

"[He's amazing]. He is so awesome... I love Lautner!”

Selena isn't exactly alone in that opinion. Far from it.

While this month's earthquake in Haiti has led to incomprehensible damage and death figures, there's been the tiniest of silver linings:

Countless celebrities have come together in support of the victims in that poor, needy nation. Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Madonna and many others have donated money to the cause, while George Clooney has organized a telethon that will air on every major network this Friday night.

Among the young stars that will appear on the telecast are Robert Pattinson, Zac Efron and Taylor Swift. We can now add Selena Gomez to that list.

The 17-year-old actress posted the following on her Facebook page today:

“I will be on the phones during George Clooney & Joel Gallen’s Hope for Haiti Now telethon this Friday from 5pm to 7pm PST. I am so honored to be an active participant in this amazing fund raising event.

"Be sure to tune in, you cannot miss it it is on MTV, over 30 major TV networks, and CNN worldwide. Let’s all come together and help those in Haiti.”

We couldn't agree more, Selena.

In the video below, Selena Gomez is spotted getting off a tour bus with Nick in Chicago. Sources also say she was in attendance at his concert in Detroit over the weekend.

Rumors of a Jonas/Gomez relationship began to surface in the summer of 2008. Nick never really shot them down, though there was never an official break-up. Think this video means there's been an official reconciliation?

When Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner ended their brief relationship, most sources agreed the basis for this break up was basic:

The pair simply didn't have a lot in common. Moreover, strong feelings weren't there on Swift's side.

But Star magazine has a different theory: a well-known, adorable third person got herself between Taylor and Taylor - Selena Gomez!

Gomez and Lautner were a rumored item for awhile, as the former has said meeting the latter was "the best thing ever."

Hudgens, on growing up: “I started off as a super-shy girl, extremely hesitant. Now I’m really growing into my own person. I can actually take care of myself, which my mom thought would never happen.”

Hudgens, on the paparazzi: “It was like, ‘Oh, my God! No way! So cool.’ The second day it happens, it’s like, Never mind. Maybe it’s not as cool as I thought it’s going to be.”

Gomez, on her well-known crush: "I am obsessed with Shia LaBeouf. He’s gorgeous and he’s a phenomenal actor. I haven’t met him — I think I’d have a heart attack if I did. I’ll wait till I’m older so that I can work with him. Maybe I’ll have calmed down by then."

Disco has long been out of style.

While Lady Gaga can wear sequins, sparkles and sing about riding on a disco stick and make just about anything work, most celebs are not Lady Gaga.

The cute actress poses for a series of photos inside the special prom issue, while also opening up about a number of issues in her life. What has she learned? What is most important to her?

The following interview excerpts supply a few answers...

On appreciating what she has: I get hurt - everybody does - but I'm more at the point where I'm looking at all the good things in my life. I have a healthy family who's alive that I'm blessed to have, and wonderful friends.

On this year's fashion: My least favorite trend of 2009 would have to be broad-shouldered jackets. I'm probably bitter because I can't pull it off! It did look good on certain people, just not me.

On the World Wide Web: I've given up the Internet. I don't read comments, and I don't go on any of the sites anymore, and I just feel better. And it's not about being a celebrity — you get on MySpace, Facebook, there's all these different outlets where people can just feel like nobody's watching them so they can just say whatever they want to say.

On posing for covers: I never dreamed about being on magazine covers. I always dreamed that I would get to do what I loved - this was just a bonus!

It's hard not to adore Gomez. She's young, talented and seems to have a regular head on her shoulders. We wish her nothing but a lifetime of success.

Selena Gomez is a busy woman.

She sings, she acts, she's an ambassador for UNICEF.

Now, she's also a fashion designer, as Gomez has announced her own clothing line, titled "Dream Out Loud." Said Selena:

"It’s really always been a dream of mine to have a line... With my line, I really want to give the customer options on how they can put their own looks together... I want the pieces that can be easy to dress up or down, and the fabrics being eco-friendly and organic are super important."

Overall, Selena says she's "just looking to send a good message.” The line will officially launch in the fall of 2010.

We had a perfectly nice Friday night at The Hollywood Gossip this week.

Following a few days of hard work, we kicked back and watched the Yankees defeat the Red Sox in a game that featured a mammoth home run by Kate Hudson's boy toy, Alex Rodriguez.

But we wish we'd have been at MILK Studios in Los Angeles instead.
