Britney Spears just wants quiet. Quiet!!!!

Commissioner Scott Gordon, in charge of her conservatorship case, approved Britney Spears‘ request to sell her Beverly Hills home. Why? Space.

According to court documents, Spears wants to move to a “lower density, more quiet and less trafficked neighborhood,” one closer to parks.

That way her boys, Jayden James and Sean Preston, can run around and play. She’s also looking for a house with a bigger back yard for that reason.

Will she get it? Not unless her custody deal is amended, but given the efforts of both parties to make everyone happy, it could happen.

Kevin Federline wants Britney Spears to play a major role in the lives of Sean Preston and Jayden James. Just not a bigger role than his.

The FedEx man’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, spoke to E! News in the wake of Thursday’s all-day mediation session, in which both sides were seeking to hash out a custody agreement in advance of an August trial.

“Kevin is seeking to maintain the sole legal and physical custody that he presently has,” Kaplan said. “There’s nothing magical about 50-50.”

“There’s nothing magical about 60-40. What’s magical is that whatever order is in place, it best suits the best interests of the children.”

Which, ideally, would give the 30-year-old Kevin Federline full custody of his sons, simply making permanent the present temporary order.

Ever since Britney’s epic January meltdowns, K-Fed’s had sole legal custody.

“Kevin Federline has had ustody since January,” Kaplan noted. “He wants that to become the permanent order at trial, and Britney’s visitation to be consistent with what the court expanded it to this week.”

Namely, allowing the troubled Britney Spears overnight visitation with her sons (and Maddie Briann Aldridge’s cousins), Sean Preston and Jayden James, which begin Saturday. She is also allowed two daytime visits a week.

Britney Spears was granted a change in her visitation schedule with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James Federline at a custody hearing on Tuesday.

The troubled pop star was looking for overnight visits with the little rascals, and we’ve learned that has been granted under certain conditions!

Both Britney Spears and Kevin Federline exited the courtroom hearing in good spirits. Britney, Kevin and his attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, all smiled and conversed with celebrity news reporters as they left the building.

No sign of K-Fed’s Vegas girlfriend, however.

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline separated in late 2006 and divorced in 2007.

The judge in the case, Commissioner Scott L. Gordon, told the attorneys that he was “very pleased with the progress on both sides.”

In any case, Britney Spears took a load off in Sean Preston’s mini Cadillac Escalade while spending time with he and Jayden James.

Absurd pic aside, it seems like Britney is getting her act together and focusing on her family, rather than clubbing in no pants.

There may be a thaw in the contentious relationship between Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, suggests K-Fed’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan.

Spears, who last week was awarded more time with her sons with Federline (Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1), was the hot topic of discussion for Mark Vincent Kaplan, on Monday morning’s Today show.

The attorney said that the judge’s decision at last week’s ruling reflected a significant “improvement” in Britney Spears‘ mental health.

She spent two full days, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., on both Thursday, May 8 and yesterday, May 11 (Mother’s Day) with her l’il sons.

Over the past few weeks, celebrity gossip followers that have read through the Britney Spears section of our site have learned that the singer:

• Wears outfits with critters on them
• Attends her sister’s baby shower
• Is guest starring on an episode of one of TV’s highest-rated sitcoms

Do these really sound like the actions of an unfit mother?

Granted, Britney stumbled for a bit there.

Months ago, The Hollywood Gossip’s pages were filled with tales of Brit not wearing underwear, getting into traffic accidents, partying every night and dating a member of the paparazzi that may or may not have been a terrorist.

But is Spears not allowed to make mistakes, simply because she’s famous?

With Jamie Lynn Spears set to pop any week now, Britney realize she must serve as a role model to her younger sister. And her two sons, we suppose. With that - and her recent tame actions - in mind, anyone with a heart can only arrive at one conclusion:

The 7-Eleven in her neighborhood has a 2-for-1 pack deal on Marlboro Lights. Just kidding. Although it’s entirely possible.

What we’re driving at is the decision was made by her ex-husband Kevin Federline, based on “improved circumstances,” to let Britney see her two sons on Mother’s Day!

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline went on to create another son, Jayden James, just barely one year after Sean Preston’s birth in September 2005. Brit then divorced K-Fed, partied with no pants a lot and went insane.

Well, first, she’ll have to bring sanity back. As for bringing sexy back, that may be a lost cause, although some celeb gossip sites have been helping her out by using older, hotter Britney Spears pictures from 2003-2004 on their covers.

Bad jokes aside, the embattled pop princess may get a chance to return to more normal patterns of visitation with her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston.

The troubled star will appear before L.A. County Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon on May 6 - that is, unless she bails at the last second as usual - to plead for restoration of overnight visits with her two little boys.

Britney will be accompanied by her dad and lawyers, however, so as long as Jamie Spears does his customary underwear check, she should be good.

According to a source, Spears - who was hospitalized twice earlier this year after psychotic meldowns - may get one sleepover a week if things go well:

“Britney wants Sean Preston and Jayden James back and she will do everything in her power to make that goal a reality,” said the insider.

It is widely believed that while he is worried about Spears’ stability, her ex, Kevin Federline, is not trying to stop her from visitation or custody out of spite. In fact, he would welcome it - so long as Britney is deemed capable.

Maybe one day soon, once her mental issues subside and she stops crashing cars, Britney can regain some custody or visitation with Sean and Jayden.

For now, though, her mothering “skills” involve parading around in no panties during late night Starbucks runs, so maybe no custody is for the best.
