From The Girl You Wish You Hadn't Started a Conversation with at a Party to The Girl Who Will Keep Viewers Updated on Important Happenings in the World...

Cecily Strong has been tapped as the next Weekend Update co-anchor on Saturday Night Live, Lorne Michaels announced yesterday, confirming that the comedian will join Seth Meyers at the famous desk when this NBC staple returns on September 28.

Look for Strong to take over the gig by herself when Meyers leave this winter to host Late Night.

"Very excited about the new Weekend Update co-anchor, @cecilybecily!," Meyers tweeted, while Strong responded to the news herself:

"Lets hope I make it through the first show without barfing or fainting!"

Miley Cyrus has proven once again: All publicity is good publicity.

The singer - who continues to receive criticism for a possibly racist VMA performance, and who performed over the weekend with Twerking dwarfs in Germany - will host the second episode of Saturday Night Live's upcoming new season.

She will also serve as musical host on the October 5th edition.

Cyrus also hosted the show in March 2011, mocking Justin Bieber, Fergie and Lindsay Lohan in what was generally considered a strong performance.

Saturday Night Live will look very different in the fall.

With Bill Hader confirming his departure this week, it's now looking increasingly likely that Fred Armisen and Jason Sudeikis will be joining him on the sidelines.

An insider at NBC tells The New York Post that Armisen is definitely on the way out while Sudeikis will “probably” jump as well.

Come next year, Saturday Night Live will be without its Weekend Update anchor... and, now it's been confirmed, it's most entertaining Weekend Update guest.

With Seth Meyers soon leaving to host Late Night, Bill Hader confirms he is also departing the iconic sketch comedy series.

“It was a hard decision, but it has to happen at some point,” Hader tells The New York Times. “It got to a point where I said, ‘Maybe it’s just time to go.’"

NBC has announced a few huge names that will grace the Saturday Night Live stage next month.

On May 11, Kristen Wiig - who left the show in 2012 - will take over hosting duties, with Vampire Weekend serving as musical guest.

Then, on the May 18 season finale, Ben Affleck will take the hosting reins and rapper/Kim Kardashian Baby Daddy Kanye West will provide the tunes.

Might a certain large-breasted reality star stop by for a cameo?!?

We can only hope.

She fell during her monologue. Multiple times.

She pretended to try out for The Voice.

She failed as Vanna White and she mocked the Mike Rice scandal as Rutgers.

Indeed, Melissa McCarthy hosted Saturday Night Live for the second time this weekend, taking on a number of characters and making an early bid to be the next member of the Five-Timers Club.

But that may be just one website's opinion.

Justin Timberlake's Saturday Night Live performance of his new hit "Suit & Tie" contained a subtle response to unexpected hater Kanye West.

Last month at a London concert, Kanye slammed Justin's collaboration with Jay-Z, saying, "I got love for Hov, but I ain't f--kin' with that 'Suit & Tie.'"

So on Saturday night, Timberlake changed the lyrics "S**t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit" to "My hit's so sick, it got RAPPERS acting dramatic."

Smooth and silk.

Later, Jay-Z came out to join the singer on "Suit & Tie." Timberlake, whose 20/20 Project album comes out March 19, delivered huge ratings for SNL.

Game, set, match.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis performed their multi-platinum, #1 hit "Thrift Shop" on Saturday Night Live this weekend - in appropriate attire, of course.

With Wanz singing the hook, the Seattle hip-hop duo and its horn section brought a high level of energy to their catchy ode to second-hand treasure.

As the saying goes, one man's trash is another man's come-up ... and always an entertaining live performance. But damn, that's a cold ass honkey ...

For their second set, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis were joined by Ray Dalton on vocals for "Can't Hold Us," another track from their 2012 album, The Heist.

Justin Bieber appeared on the pretend Miley Cyrus Show last night and apologized to fans for getting high.

Playing Miley's biggest fan, the host joked about how much better of a singer Cyrus is than that Justin Bieber character, adding that he "heard [Bieber] got busted for smoking weed." And?

"He's really sorry about it. And people make mistakes. And he's never gonna do it again."

Pretty funny stuff and a pretty unique way to acknowledge an error in judgment. Watch now:
