The singer seems perfectly nice, and she clearly has some talent, but the artist was overwhelmed on her Saturday Night Live debut yesterday, shifting awkwardly from foot to foot during a rendition of "Video Games," randomly rubbing her hip, lacking any and all energy or emotion.

Former Saturday Night Live staff writer Joe Bodolai has died in an apparent suicide. His body was discovered yesterday by a cleaning crew at an L.A. hotel.

Law enforcement sources say Bodolai, who wrote several Wayne's World sketches for SNL as well as the movie, had been staying there more than a week.

Saturday Night Live's sketch about Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow - and a snarky Jesus Christ (Jason Sudeikis) - has not been well received by Christian leaders.

In the skit, the Messiah Himself appeared, telling Tebow (Taran Killam) to "take it down a notch" with his religious zealotry ... you know, since He does all the work.

A set of Schwetty Balls is coming to Saturday Night Live this fall.

Alec Baldwin has been tapped to host the show's 37th season premiere, though no date has been set yet for the episode. He'll be followed by Emmy nominee and Bridesmaids scene-stealer Melissa McCarthy the following week.
