Best Father's Day ever!

Not only did Tiger Woods force a playoff in the U.S. Open Sunday (he went on to win Monday), but his almost-one-year-old daughter was there to see it.

After Tiger beat challenger Rocco Mediate, wife Elin Nordegren and their wonderful baby Sam Alexis were standing by to celebrate.

After his historic victory in San Diego, which followed months of painful knee injuries, Tiger gave all the credit to Sam Alexis Woods:

"There's no way I could have gotten through this without Sam being there. Just watching her grow, walking, running now, it's been just the greatest thing in the world."

Now that we're uncovered more about the shady past of Sam Lutfi, let's take a look at another Sam who is far less controversial... and certainly much cuter, to boot!

Tiger Woods won the Target World Challenge Golf Tournament by seven shots on Sunday at the Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, Calif.

That's good stuff, but what's great is that Tiger had his entire family on hand to share in the glory. Here is a nice picture of Tiger Woods' mother, Kultida, with wife Elin Nordegren and six-month-old daughter Sam Alexis Woods! How sweet!

You've got company, Shiloh Nouvel!

Elin Woods (formerly Elin Nordegren), wife of superstar golfer Tiger Woods, was spotted in her hometown of Stockholm, Sweden, on Sunday with the pair's 15-week-old daughter, Sam Alexis Woods. Man, oh man, is she cute!

And little Sam Alexis Woods isn't un-cute, herself! Take a look:

Elin, 27, was accompanied by her twin sister, Josefin. Both had been working as nannies for Swedish golf star Jesper Parnevik before Elin was introduced to Tiger Woods during the 2001 British Open. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Tiger Woods, 31, was in the United States while this pic of Sam Alexis Woods was taken, running the show at a charity event - the Tiger Woods Learning Center Block Party, held at The Grove in Anaheim, Calif.

He was spotted with musician John Mayer (no sign of girlfriend Minka Kelly), actress Teri Hatcher and chef Giada De Laurentiis, among others.

Tiger Woods is here to inspire those that have gotten down on the world of sports recently.

And for once, this golfing god is not doing it through the use of his driver.

Instead, Tiger and wife Elin Nordegren are the proud parents of Sam Alexis Woods, a celebrity baby that may just rival Shiloh Nouvel for cuteness.

People magazine reports that the Woods family, which includes dogs Taz, a border collie, and Yogi, a labradoodle, are doing well.

"This is truly a special time in our lives and we look forward to introducing Sam to our family and friends over the next few weeks," Tiger wrote in a message on his site on June 18, the day Sam was born.

The couple's first child was born during a time when athletes aren't exactly acting as role models. Consider:

• Tom Brady has fathered a child out of wedlock with Bridget Moynahan.
• Barry Bonds is a jerk who has obviously taken steroids.
• Mark Philippoussis has reportedly slept with many loose women, including Paris Hilton and Tara Reid. Yuck.
• Professional wrestler Chris Benoit allegedly murdered his wife and son before taking his own life.

Indeed, it's a troubling time to be a sports fan. But Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren remind us that there's still beauty in the world of athletics.

Woods and Nordegren, a Swedish former nanny and model he met at the 2001 British Open, were married in 2005.
