A second victim in Monday's tragic Boston Marathon bombings has been identified: Krystle Campbell, a 29-year-old originally from Medford, Mass.

Her father, William A. Campbell Jr., told Yahoo News:

"My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody, and I'm just so shocked right now. We're just devastated. She was a wonderful, wonderful girl."

"Always willing to lend a hand."

Krystle Campbell was at the finish line with a friend, Karen Rand, to cheer on her boyfriend, who was running the race at the time the bombs went off.

Pat Summerall has passed away, according to reports. The former NFL star and longtime broadcaster with CBS and Fox Sports was 82 years old.

His cause of death has not been revealed.


Before becoming known to generations of fans as one of football's best known TV personalities, Pat was a star kicker with the Lions, Cardinals and Giants.

Partnering with John Madden, Summerall called the Super Bowl in 1982, the highest rated game of all time, along with 15 other Super Bowl contests.

His final game was Super Bowl XXXVI on February 3, 2002, when the Patriots stunned the Rams on a last-second field goal by Adam Vinatieri.

Frank Bank, who starred on the 1957-1963 series Leave It to Beaver, died over the weekend, one day after turning 71. No cause of death was reported.

Beaver star Jerry Mathers, now 64, posted to his Facebook page:

Deftones bass guitarist Chi Cheng died Sunday morning.

Five years after a tragic car crash left him in a coma, his mother took to the Internet to announce that her son had passed away at the age of 42.


"This is the hardest thing to write to you," said Mom J, the name she used with fans, said. "Your love, heart and devotion to Chi was unconditional and amazing."

The entertainment world has lost a legend in Jonathan Winters, a veteran actor and comic who passed away at the age of 87, according to his website.

Longtime family friend Joe Petro III says Winters, who inspired so many comedians, died Thursday night at his Montecito, Calif., home of natural causes.

A note on his website adds, "Rest in Peace, Mr. Winters."


Winters' career began when he won a talent contest in Ohio, which led to radio gigs and appearances at comedy clubs, along with comedy albums.

Chelone Miller, the brother of Olympic Gold Medal skiier Bode Miller, died on April 7 of a seizure. He was 29 years old.

The sad news was announced today, as U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association President Bill Marolt confirmed the passing was a result of a motorcycle accident in 2005 that left Chelone in a coma for 11 days.

“Chelone Miller was an aspiring elite athlete who had made great progress as a snowboardcross rider this past season,” Marolt said in a statement. “We are all deeply saddened at the news of his death and extend our condolences to the entire Miller family.”

Margaret Thatcher, the British Prime Minister who governed the kingdom from 1979-1990 and was known as The Iron Lady, died this morning at the age of 87.

Her son, Sir Mark, and daughter Carol confirmed Thatcher's passing.

Lord Bell, her longtime spokesman, said this morning:

"It is with great sadness that Mark and Carol Thatcher announced that their mother Baroness Thatcher died peacefully following a stroke this morning."

Thatcher will go down in history not only as Britain's first female prime minister, but as the woman who transformed Britain economically and internationally.

Lilly Pulitzer Rousseau, the iconic fashion designer of the brand that featured her name, died in Palm Beach, Fla., today, according to her company's Facebook page.

She was 81 years old.


"Lilly has been a true inspiration to us and we will miss her," a statement said. "In the days and weeks ahead we will celebrate all that Lilly meant to us."

The company added of its founder: "Lilly was a true original who has brought together generations through her bright and happy mark on the world."
