Shortly after Robin Williams committed suicide back in August, rumors began to surface as to what may have caused the comedy legend to take his own life.

Williams' wife revealed that the actor suffered from Parkinson's disease just days after he was found dead, and it was widely believed that the diagnosis contributed to his tragic final decision.

While it remains likely that Williams' was in a distraught state as a result of his illness, a newly released coroner's report reveals that there were likely several other factors negatively influencing his mental state as well.

The report states that Williams was suffering from paranoia and extreme anxiety in the weeks before his death.

His family became concerned with his erratic behavior, and the report details one recent incident in which Williams placed several wristwatches in a sock and gave them to a friend for safe keeping.

Rapper Big Paybacc was killed Thursday inside a McDonald's in Palmdale, Calif., according to multiple news reports. He was just 38 years old.

Big Paybacc

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department told media that the rapper (real name Habeeb Ameer Zekajj) was eating lunch when a man walked in and shot him.

"There was no altercation that the [witnesses] saw," a rep told CBS News. "This guy just walked in through one door, shot him and left out another door."

"So it looked like something personal. He had something against this individual. It wasn’t like he shot up the McDonald’s. He just shot him and left."

The incident took place at 12:30 p.m., and the suspect fled by foot. Police said approximately 15 other people were inside the McDonald's at the time.

L.A.'s local CBS affiliate spoke to Big Paybacc's girlfriend Jessica Jefferson late Thursday evening. Safe to say she is not taking this tragic news well.

Lt. Larry Dietz of the Los Angeles County coroner's office said early Thursday morning that the remains of Gavin Smith have been positively identified.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's office says hikers discovered the remains in a rural area of Palmdale on October 26, but it took until now to confirm.

Results of the autopsy have not yet been finalized.

Smith, who worked for 20th Century Fox, vanished in May 2012, and his disappearance was investigated as a murder, though suicide was also considered.

The case baffled investigators for many months.

Authorities said earlier they had discovered his car at a storage facility, and its condition, along with witness statements, led them to believe he was killed.

"The world is a beautiful place, travel has been my greatest teacher, my close friends and folks are the greatest givers. I even have a ring of support around my bed as I type … Goodbye world. Spread good energy. Pay it forward!"

Thomas M. Menino - the longest-serving mayor in the history of the city of Boston - died today at the age of 71.

Thomas Menino

Menino was elected to his post back in 1993. He retired earlier this year after overseeing a decades-long urban renewal project that revitalized the appearance and identity of the city in which he was born and raised.

Just two months after stepping down in January of 2014, Menino announced that he was battling an advanced form of cancer that had spread to his liver and lymph nodes.

Menino's most notable achievement in recent years may have been serving as a source of strength and guidance for frightened citizens in the wake of the Boston marathon bombing of 2013.

"Bold, big-hearted, and Boston strong, Tom was the embodiment of the city he loved and led for more than two decades," said President Obama in a statement issued earlier today.
