The marriage of Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon was officially annulled on the grounds of fraud on Monday. We know you are taken aback.

The legal papers were filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Pamela Anderson, 40, who has also married two other losers, initially filed for divorce last December after two months of marriage.

On February 22, she sought an annulment, citing fraud. On Friday, Rick Salomon, 39, also filed papers seeking an annulment (he, too, cited "fraud.")

They wed last October in Las Vegas after one month of dating. Neither has explained why they cited fraud, but TMZ has some idea.

Sources tell TMZ both Rick and Pam privately stipulated to fraud - that Pam promised Rick Salomon they would have children together. Frightening.

Pam was pregnant at the time the couple separated.

Shortly after the separation, Pam was no longer pregnant.

Subsequently both Rick and Pam filed annulment papers.

Makes perfect sense. We clear?

Pamela Anderson isn't the only one claiming fraud in her (most recent) brief marriage. Estranged husband Rick Salomon is making the same allegation.

A month after Pamela Anderson sought an annulment rather than a divorce, Rick Salomon also filed papers to annul the two-month union.

Like Anderson, the jackass checked the box marked "fraud" as the reason for the annulment, say the Superior Court documents filed Friday.

Neither has explained why the fraud allegation is being made.

After they married in October and Anderson filed for divorce from the Paris Hilton sex tape star in mid-December, and then said they were "working things out," her attorney filed a proof of service of summons December 28.

This proves Rick Salomon was served with divorce papers on December 15. He has 30 days to file a response to her divorce claim.

"I would think this means the divorce is going ahead," says L.A. family law attorney Lynn Soodik. "But this filing is just a procedural thing."

On New Year's, Pamela Anderson, 40, acknowledged that her struggles with Rick Salomon were continuing but that she was trying her best to move on.

"Oh there's plenty," of problems, she said en route to Las Vegas to ring in 2008. "What can you do? We're all human. We're all trying."

In a posting on her official site Thursday, Anderson says she is enjoying some family time, but does not mention Rick Salomon:

"My kids and I had a great new years in Vegas! They loved the fireworks and hot chocolate at midnight. Mommy made it home by 1:30 am. Nice! Now on family vacation in the snow. We are doing great. Getting rest, planning new year."
