Kirk Cameron says a controversial viral video of him blurting out "God hates f-gs" is not only 15-20 years old, but is being posted by haters trying to defame him.

The actor and born-again Christian, whose latest film Saving Christmas has been a huge success (at least in its target demo), says this is a smear campaign.

The clip shows Kirk and Ray Comfort, his partner in a Christian outreach website, having a conversation in which Kirk says, "God hates f-gs, and you're going to Hell."

Whatever you think of him and his admittedly polarizing political and religious views, the video is obviously edited to make the 44-year-old look terrible.

A rep for Cameron says the statement is blatantly "taken out of context," possibly implying that he's quoting someone or something else at the time.

Kirk's rep says that pissed off Atheists spliced, edited and have been trying to spread the photo like crazy to torpedo Cameron and his Christmas movie.

With critics calling for TLC to cancel her reality show, Michelle Duggar has launched a counter-petition to save 19 Kids and Counting from cancelation.

A Change (dot) org petition to cancel 19 Kids and Counting was actually started earlier this year, after Michelle made controversial headlines politically.

She allegedly recorded a robo-call allegedly asking Fayetteville, Ark. residents to vote to repeal a law that prevents discrimination. Yes, that prevents it.

The law in question condemns property and business owners to oust or fire people based on gender identity. In other words, transgender Americans.

Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar then sparked an even bigger public controversy this month when they invited fans to share kissing photos on Facebook.

After they reportedly took down submissions from gay couples, they faced backlash online, and the aforementioned petition began to widely circulate.

Duck Dynasty and Dancing With the Stars cast member Sadie Robertson isn't shying away from media reports comparing her to the Duggar family members.

If anything, she welcomes being talked about in the same sentence.

The 17-year-old survived this week's Dancing With the Stars results show and is on to the final four, where she will battle for the Mirror Ball trophy.

Given her upbringing and somewhat unorthodox road to stardom, Sadie Robertson is also sparking a great deal of media interest beyond her dancing abilities.

Specifically, some people want to compare her to the Duggar family.

If you watch Duck Dynasty or watch 19 Kids and Counting online, you know that both popular reality shows center around a conservative Christian family.

Both family patriarchs have sparked some controversy, as well.

Hey, have you noticed?

The celebrity gossip world is a little less cute and a little less scandalous these days.

That's because Justin Bieber hasn't really been in the news, with the exception of outside parties wondering whether or not he's dating Selena Gomez at the moment.

Another Justin Bieber Selfie

But Bieber hasn't been arrested in months. The cops haven't been called to his home for any parties. Heck, he hasn't even told any bodyguards to beat up any cameraman.

What gives?!?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are speaking out - with the help of scripture - in the wake of the controversy the couple recently sparked on Facebook.

Derick Dillard, Jill Duggar, Ben Seewald and Jessa Duggar

After posting a pictures of themselves reenacting Jessa and Ben Seewald's kiss on Instagram, they invited married couples to submit their own kissing pics.

They reportedly then deleted pictures of same-sex and interracial couples from their official page, a move that provoked serious backlash online.

In response, the TLC stars posted a new message about remaining steadfast in their convictions, using a passage from the Bible to illustrate their point.

Quoting Luke 6:27, they wrote, "But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you."

"This is such a sweet scripture that we hold dear," the Duggars wrote. "We will always stand for truth and the values we hold dear without compromise."

But, Jim Bob and Michelle said, "we will do so in love and kindness - treating others well even if we don't agree with them and we will do so without hateful words."

Kirk Cameron is out to save Christmas.

Huh, you might be wondering, I didn't know Christmas is in danger.

But the former Growing Pains star has released a new film (aptly titled “Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas”) in which he explains why the holiday is very much in trouble.

Kirk Cameron Movie Still

"You have people who want to pull down nativity scenes, you have lawsuits showing up in schools that can't have Christmas performances ... it has to be winter break or holiday break or sparkle season," Cameron tells The Christian Post adding:

"They want to take that out of Christmas so they don't offend people who hate Christmas. And then we have a new group who are telling us, convincingly, that Christmas is actually a celebration of paganism."

Cameron, who attended Jessa Dugger's wedding this month and who is an outspoken critic of gay marriage, also took to Facebook on Tuesday and sent a message to those who can help him rescue Christmas.

Jessa Duggar isn’t letting rumors surrounding herself and Ben Seewald get her down, responding to the online uproar just as you might expect she would:

With an inspirational Bible quote.

Ben, Jessa Seewald Photo

“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good,” Duggar wrote on Instagram alongside a screen shot of a Bible passage, which reads as follows:

“Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all."

“Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God."

"For it is written, 'Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.'"

Moving stuff, for sure.

Is it a direct response to rumors that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had sex at their wedding and being discovered by her younger sister Jinger Duggar?

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald's alleged wedding day sex romp continues to be the topic of much debate, and a blogger who was present stands by the story.

Not only is she standing by her account of what went on, in fact, but the controversial behavior itself, claiming it was between Jessa Duggar, Ben and ... God.

Jessa, Ben Seewald Photo

The rumor that Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald had sex at their wedding reception November 1 originated on a Christian fundamentalist blog last week.

It left Duggar fans reeling, for obvious reasons.

Some critics declared that the whole story was a hoax, but the blogger, a woman named Ashleigh, says the story was not satire, or meant to be critical.

Speaking out about the uproar she and her commenters have created, she says she had “no intention” of causing any drama by reporting on the event.

That doesn't mean it didn't happen, though.

Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson has always publicly embraced her faith, but she truly brought it to the ballroom on Monday night’s Dancing With the Stars.

Delivering a contemporary performance choroeographed by Mark Ballas, the 17-year-old paid tribute to one of the Bible’s most well-known and revered stories ...

Adding their creative spin to the Adam and Eve saga, as told in the Old Testament book of Genesis, Sadie and Mark were outstanding and inspiring.

The dance-infused rendition of the events that the Bible says unfolded in the Garden of Eden was a terrific show of Mark's skills as well as Sadie's talent.

While Robertson has repeatedly shared her faith during the competition, this was the first time that one of her dances overtly explored a Biblical story.

Not surprisingly, the brunette said this added a great deal of pressure on Dancing With the Stars Season 19 Episode 10, but she rose to the occasion.
