We already know that wedding photos can be beautiful, especially when a tornado is about to hit.

We also know they can be very wet, especially when a wave crashes on top of the newlyweds.

Heck, as evidenced by this amazing wedding GIFs, they can also be animated.

But did you also know they can be silly? Hilarious? Creative? Photoshopped?

We understand your big day is meant to be taken seriously, but that doesn't mean there can't be room for some humor, for some originality, for some... dinosaurs and marshmallow men.

Consider the following examples of couples and wedding parties that came up with ways to make their photos not just last a lifetime, but also provide a lifetime of laughter:

RUN!
Yup, that's actor Jeff Goldblum and this is an awesome reenactment of Jurassic Park.

We often laugh at text message exchanges between relatives, especially when they involve these 19 mothers.

But the following back-and-forth simply warms our heart.

It centers on Reddit user “thecly,” who gave his brother his username/password so that the sibling could see a discussion he was engaged in on website... only he forgot that he had also posted in the "gaybros" subreddit.

As a result, this user was outed to his brother in the most unplanned of ways - but the brother really could not have handled the news any better, as this exchange proves:

Awkward Text Message Exchange

Thecly's little brother also added on Reddit, when asked about the development and his sibling:

"He’s a pretty nice guy and I love him to death, ain’t nothin gonna change that."

If you can't get Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Gandalf isn't a terrible replacement.

In a romantic video that’s gone viral, director Brett Lotriet Best enlists the help of Sir Ian McKellen while proposing to his girlfriend, Shawwa… only because his first choice of Patrick Stewart was unavailable at the time.

But McKellen and Stewart are best friends (the former officiated the latter's wedding) and gladly stepped in to help Best with life's most important question, appearing in the following footage and telling Brett's girlfriend to do the "right thing."

Best later takes center stage himself and tells Shawwa "I would like to explore the universe with you."

The director later took to Twitter and confirmed that Shawwa said yes. Hooray!

First, there was the controversial Super Bowl commercial. Then, there was the uplifting parenting ad.

Just last week, meanwhile, there was the couple who used the #ShareaCoke campaign to announced they're expecting.

Now, Coca-Cola is back in the news for reasons outside of its actual product.

As documented on Facebook, Donnie McGilvray used this same online hashtag/movement to pop life’s most important question to his girlfriend, Eloise, surprising her when she opened the fridge with the following message:

Coca-Cola Bottle Marriage Proposal

And here's the best part: She said YES!!!

We've learned a lot about wedding photos over the past few weeks.

To wit:

Now, Jeffrey Lewis Bennett of JLB Wedding in Detroit has given us another lesson: The future of the wedding photo is the GIF.

Over the last few years, Bennett tells The Huffington Post that he has perfected this unique style of wedding photography because he believes the “best GIFs communicate the feeling of the infinite.”

In the wake of Ramona Singer's divorce announcement, the father of one Real Housewives of New York City co-star is weighing in on its inevitability.

According to George Teichner, Aviva Drescher's dad and a newlywed himself, Ramona has taught him what precisely what NOT to do in a relationship.

  • Ramona, Mario Singer
  • George Teichner, Dana Cody

“Reality TV marriages and spectacle marriages become a ‘Dance of Dread,’” Teichner said, explaining his and Cody’s decision to keep their  wedding private.

“Why the incognito personal life? ‘Those whom the Gods will destroy ... they first make proud! Just review all the married couples on all reality TV shows."

“You will discover a disproportionate amount of acrimony and mental suffering, along with addiction to alcohol, cocaine, and pharmaceutical brain tablets"

"I.e. [the] Kardashians, Ramona [Singer].”

Likening his co-star's issues to Keeping Up With the Kardashians? Kind of a low blow, but there is something to be said about keeping things private.

This is a story you don't read every day:

Boy meets girl in Brazil. Boy and girl bond over having been abandoned by their mothers as children. Boy and girl get married. Boy and girl have a six-year old daughter.

The girl, Adriana, then appears on a radio show titled The Time Is Now, which reunites long-lost relatives. It connects Adriana with her mother, Maria, who tells her daughter that she also left a young son behind a long time ago.

And it turns out that son was Adriana's husband, Leandro.

So, to summarize: A HUSBAND AND A WIFE WERE MARRIED FOR SEVEN YEARS BEFORE BEING TOLD THEY ARE ACTUALLY BROTHER AND SISTER!!!!!

Brother-Sister/Man-Wife

"We thought it was funny that both our mothers had the same name, but it is a common name so we just thought it was a coincidence," Adriana told The Daily Mail.

The subject in the following video may be drunk.

But she may also be a genius.

Upon getting home around 2 a.m. on a recent night, the unnamed wife was hungry. But she was also out of bread and slices of cheese. So she improvised:

As documented by the most loving husband around (he tells his wife she looks "gorgeous" and he did the laundry), the wasted woman throws some Goldfish crackers on a plate, crisscrosses them with string cheese (the crisscross is key, people!) and comes up with...

... well, pretty much the same thing as she started with. But the process of getting there is hilarious to watch!

We could offer up much better snack recipes, but none would be more entertaining.

Flirting has been around for generations, but needless to say, the onslaught of technological devices and applications has taken it to new levels nowadays.

Notice we said levels, not heights. What technology provides in convenience, speed and efficiency, it taketh away in tact, grammar and excitement.

Our lack of inhibitions, shifting expectations and ability to fire off what's on our mind in nanoseconds have transformed flirting dramatically, and forever.

This can be good or bad for the potential relationships in question, but as we've seen time and again, it's hilarious to watch play out via text message.

For better or worse, these 21 people have mastered the art of flirting via text, Facebook, Twitter and other instant communication platforms. And we thank them.

Scroll through the gallery below and bow down to the masters ...

Sometimes, But Not All the Time
