An Interview with Sabra Johnson, So You Think You Can Dance Champion

So, Sabra Johnson thinks she can dance?

Looks like this rising star was right all along, as she defeated Danny Tidwell and all other finalists last night to be crowned the 2007 So You Think You Can Dance champion.

Here's an interview with the reality show winner from the show's official site:

Sabra Johnson PicHow old were you when you started to dance?
16

Do you have any formal dance training?
Jazz, Ballet, Contemporary, gymnastics, some experience in hip hop, modern, tap, and theater.

What other talents/hobbies do you have?

I can sew. I like to laugh, see movies, traveling, and languages (I don't know any, though). I have a talent of being pretty independent and being able to take care of myself.

* The Hollywood Gossip note: We wonder if laughing is a talent or a hobby of hers. Either way, she should watch Michael Cera more often to take advantage of it.

Who is your favorite professional dancer?
Roderick George

What would you like to see happen to you as a result of the show?
To have grown to be a better dancer in all aspects.

Where would you like to be in 10 years and what would you like to be doing?
Dancing professionally in a company or just dancing professionally period!

We wish Sabra the best of luck. She just better hope there are no nude photos of her from the past - such as there are of reality show contestant Jennifer Braff - to get in the way of her dreams.

So You Think You Can Dance: The Final Four

We're down to the final four on So You Think You Can Dance, Fox's summer hit and the younger brother, if you will, of the phenomenon known as American Idol.

We've been watching the series and can tell you that it's wide open after all four of the remaining stars turned in stellar efforts last night. Let's size up the ferocious foursome as we prepare for tonight's final So You Think You Can Dance results show.

Danny Tidwell (far left): Danny Tidwell, admittedly, isn't great at ballroom and hip-hop, but he's been called the best of the lot by the judges more than once due to his talent and energy. Must run in the family. The mother of (Blake Lewis look-alike) Travis Wall, last year's runner-up, is Danny's adoptive parent!

Lacey Schwimmer (second from left): Speaking of keeping it in the family, who the heck cares that her brother, Benji Schwimmer, was last year's champion? Give us a single reason Lacey doesn't have the spunk, energy, personality and mad skills to continue the Schwimmer legacy on the show. That's right, there is none.

Danny TidwellLacey SchwimmerNeil HaskellSabra Johnson

Neil Haskell (second from right): This dancer - and gymnast - knows it takes a variety of skills to make it in the entertainment business. He sells his routines' characters better than anyone, and Neil remains the most popular with voters due to his charm, ridiculous tricks and good looks. It's tough combination to top.

Sabra Johnson (far right): We've learned this much so far - underestimate Sabra at your peril. She's been under the radar, but Johnson thrives in every situation and style - and may be the most versatile of the final four. The diminutive Sabra can never be counted out, and she certainly came up with the goods last night.

Who will be crowned America's favorite dancer? Stay tuned.

So You Think You Can Dance... For Celine Dion!?

In last night's two-hour finale of So You Think You Can Dance â€" which featured a ton of self-adulating nonsense, live performances by Ciara and Fergie, and plenty of shots of not-unattractive host Cat Deeley (below) â€" swing dancer Benji Schwimmer, 22, was finally crowned America's favorite dancer.

Benji Schwimmer & Cat Deeley

His prize? A cool $100,000 in cash, a hybrid SUV, and a contract to star in Celine Dion's show in Las Vegas. That's it? Don't the winners of American Idol get a million bucks and a record deal? Can't Nigel Lythgoe (Idol and SYTYCD producer) This kid dances his ass off and gets Celine Dion? Granted he's got Cat Deeley's arm around him in this pic, but still!

Dion made an appearance at the end of the show, congratulating the dancer via satellite. But in an interview with Us Magazine last week, Benji said that even if he emerged on top, he'd considering passing on the offer to focus on acting.

US: What would you do with the money?
BENJI: Give some to church, give some to my charity, spend a little bit and invest the rest. I have a charity called DEMAND which stands for Dancers Everywhere Making A Needed Difference. We work with underprivileged kids in Mexico and we also help other dancers out in the community who may have injured themselves and can't support themselves. We get them back on their feet.

US: So would you take the Celine Dion job?
BENJI: [sings] "My heart will go oooonnnnn…" I think more than anything, if I was to have that offer, I would give it to one of [my cast mates] here and let them take it because they are the dancers fit to do that. We didn't even know about the Celine Dion contract until we actually made the show so that was never my goal to receive a contract, my goal was to be on the show for the exposure, to be challenged as a dancer.

US: You guys haven't heard from any celebrities about how they love the show have you?
BENJI: Tyce â€" that's my choreographer â€" he is friends with Tobey Maguire and said that Tobey is a huge fan of the show and wants to do a dance movie. I couldn't believe it. So I asked Tyce again and once again he's like no I talked to him he's dead serious…

US: How would you feel about doing a movie?
BENJI: I definitely want to get into acting. That's without a doubt. I want to get into television and movies. When I was younger, I was doing a lot of commercials and I was on Full House.

US: You were on Full House?
BENJI: Reluctantly. I was 5 years old.

US: How is a 5-year-old reluctant?
BENJI: I am reluctant now because when I did it they dubbed my voice over, there was bad sound or something and some Chinese lady dubbed over my voice… it was stupid.

So, You Think You Can Dance in Hell's Kitchen? We'll See More and More

A mean British chef and an assortment of aspiring You Got Served wanna-bes? Nothing helps a station garner better ratings during the summer months. Hence, Fox's easy decision to renew two of its reality TV shows.

The network ordered up third seasons of the popular series So You Think You Can Dance and Hell's Kitchen for 2007.

Welcome to Hell ... 's Kitchen"These shows have been integral to our summer success, and we are excited to be bringing them back next season," Peter Liguori, president of entertainment for Fox Broadcasting, said.

Consider So You Think You Can Dance to be an American Idol for the happy feet crowd. It hit the air the day after Taylor Hicks was declared the Idol winner and drew in 10.8 million viewers still hungry for embarrassing auditions and the whittling away of self-esteem ... with the occasional dazzling performance mixed in.

A two-part season finale of this season airs Aug. 9 and 16.

Meanwhile, Hell's Kitchen, imports a Simon Cowell clone in British cook, Gordon Ramsey. He yells a lot, acting as Lucifer of pots and pans while a group of hopefuls aim to become America's next big whisking expert. Somehow, viewers enjoy this.

The show airs Mondays at 9 p.m. and has been pulling in more than 7.4 million people each week.
