With just a few words, Spencer summed up Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 7 pretty well last night:

This is about lies and whispered conversations that stop when someone walks into a room.

The installment largely centered on Aria volunteering at Radley, helping out during art class and slipping Bethany’s drawing into a pile of prints.

It instantly grabbed the attention of a patient named Rhonda, who turned out to be Bethany’s roommate and who claimed it to be hers.

Later on, Aria snuck into the her room, only to have her investigation cut short when Rhonda came back, prompting Aria to scramble and hide under a bed... which just happened to be Rhonda’s! Oops!

Let no one ever refer to ABC Family as a liar.

All week long, the network had teased the return of A on Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 6... and return this villain definitely did last night, causing problems across the board in Rosewood.

For example, he/she/it actually filmed Alison’s mother’s burial and offered the girls a front seat for it. Lovely, huh?

The Liars, meanwhile, got together to talk about the the possibility of Shana NOT being A (NOTE: She’s clearly not), yet no one wants to accept this as truth, least of all Alison.

Afraid for her life, Ali chose to ignore her friends’ wishes and depart town, heading for Princeton, where Noel will be waiting to pick her up.

Pretty Little Liars celebrated its 100th episode last night in an explosive fashion.

The hour initially centered on Ali’s return to school, but Mona quickly made her presence felt by revealing a secret video of Ali slapping her and talking about all the “losers” in Rosewood.

We also learned the identity of the young woman found in Ali's grace: Bethany Young, a 17-year-old patient at Radley who apparently escaped the night Ali disappeared. Interesting, huh?

Let's rundown Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 5 Liar by Liar, shall we?

Hello there, Andrew!!!

On Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 4, Toby was temporarily unavailable. So with Spencer in need another pair of strong hands to help with her gardening, we got reacquainted with Andrew, the VERY HOT dude we met during that epic game of "strip studying" back when Spencer was all aboard the crazy train.

He came across a container of rat poison, which was suspicious because — wait a minute! - the family never had a rat infestation of any kind.

Spencer also discovered pills containing losartan in her dad’s medicine cabinet. That’s substance the coroner attributed to Mrs. D’s death. This has to mean her dad did it… right?

(Probably not on this show.)

Meanwhile, Aria punished herself again and again for killing Shana. She kept watching the funeral online.

Death, death and more death.

It's safe to say Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 3 wasn't the most uplifting installment of this ABC Family hit.

First, we had Alison dealing with the death of her mother… by wearing the same dress to her mom’s funeral that her mom wore to Ali’s funeral back when everyone assumed she was dead. Creepy!

Hanna was later mistaken for Ali at the funeral home, which led this former fat student to reflect on how much she’s changed since her friend went missing.

“I never knew who the hell I was,” Hanna told Emily, after a kinda homoerotic (and useless) flashback of Hanna holding hands with Mona at school.

Maybe you can't go home again after all.

On Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 2, Alison finally returned to Rosewood, only to be told by Mona that she's gonna wish she "stayed dead." GULP!

Elsewhere, the mystery behind Mrs. D’s “disappearance” thickened, with Jason fingered as the prime suspect.

Hanna and Emily followed Ali’s brother to a shady part of town, yet didn’t uncover any evidence linking him to the crime.

Toward the end of the hour, Spencer confronted Jason with her theory… only for Pepe the dog to interrupt her with a key discovery under the lawn: Mrs. D’s corpse!

Oh, yes. The gang now knows she's dead. Let the hunt begin!

So... was the wait worth it, ABC Family fans?

Following months of hype and anticipation, Pretty Little Liars Season 5 Episode 1 answered a major question last night: Who shot Ezra Fitz?

The culprit turned out to be Shana, though we won’t have all summer to ask any more questions about this shooter: after she pulled a weapon and explained how her deeds were related to “justice” for Jenna, Aria sent the nut job tumbling to her death.

By accident, of course.

Back in Rosewood, meanwhile, the Hastings were up to their typical family drama, as Melissa struggled with own huge secret. But could it be?!?

Something Daddy Dearest won't even let his daughter say out loud. Hmmm....

The June 2014 issue of GQ is especially beautiful and duplicitous.

That's because it features the cast of Pretty Little Liars, as Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell are all featured in the magazine, striking a handful of fun poses in bikinis.

But after a few pictures from the spread were posted to Instagram, critics came down hard on the magazine for Photoshopping the girls, with Hayey Hoover from The Gloss referring to the stars as "shiny, poreless Barbies."

Pretty Little Liars for GQ

What does Bellisario have to say about such an accusation?
