If anybody wants to know why Jenny McCarthy is posing for Playboy at the age of 39, nearly two decades after she first did, her response is twofold, and simple:

1. To promote autism research, and 2. Why not?

TV's Love in the Wild host took to Twitter this week and said, "Why should only 20 yr olds be considered sexy?" she writes. "Let's (hear) it for the MILFs."

Somehow we imagine guys can buy into that.

In a poll, fans have responded by a two-to-one margin that McCarthy has only gotten better with age from when she first appeared in Playboy in 1993.

Interestingly, two years ago, McCarthy told Playboy in an interview (above) that she could be persuaded to pose again, but the mag couldn't afford it.

Maybe the price went down? Or Hef dug deeper?

Who knows. Also interestingly, Jenny said at age 37 that wasn't sure if she'd still "have it" in a few years. Guess it's safe to say she still does.

It feels like 1993 all over again.

Jenny McCarthy will pose nude for Playboy's July/August issue, marking a surprise return from one of Hugh Hefner's most famous Playmates of the Year.

After almost 20 years, the soon-to-be 40-year-old model, actress and mom is returning to show off her goods on the cover of the men's mag June 29.

Jenny first posed for Playboy in 1993 for a modest $20,000, earning herself the title of Playmate of the Month and a bit later on, Playmate of the Year.

She confirmed her return to the magazine with a bit of irony.

McCarthy told E! this week, "All I wanted to do [when she began in the industry] was work with my clothes on, and now I just hope to get them off!"

The infamous Tanning Mom says she's willing to flaunt her (literally) HOT body for Playboy ... IF the opportunity arose. NOTE: She's practicing poses already.

Patricia Krentcil would happily accept an invitation to bare it all for Hef, but fortunately, the magazine is not interested in seeing Tanning Mom nude.

A source says “It wouldn’t even be considered” at Playboy, despite TM angling to cash in on her 15 minutes, because she's just not Playboy material.

Playboy even went on record, saying, "It would definitely never happen."

Fortunately, if you love Tanning Mom, she says she's been approached by several people interested in featuring her on a reality show. Why, who the heck knows.

Also fortunately, if you like women who fake tan less and haven't been charged with felony child endangerment, Jaclyn Swedberg is Playboy's Playmate of the Year.

Jaclyn Swedberg has received the highest honor a woman who takes off her clothes for a living can receive: she's been named the 2012 Playmate of the Year!

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and his son, Cooper, presented the busty brunette with the award at the Playboy Mansion this afternoon.

"Jaclyn was overcome with emotion and gratitude when giving her speech in front of Hef and her family," a Playboy rep tells Us Weekly. "All in all, it was fantastic afternoon with family, friends, Playmates and past Playmates of the Year all in attendance."

Past, well-known Playmates of the Year include: Hope Dworaczyk (2010), Jayde Nicole (2008), Sara Underwood (2007), Jenny McCarthy (1994) and Anna Nicole Smith (1993).

Pakistani model- actress Veena Malik said recently that she would be willing to pose nude in Playboy for $1 million, enraging more than a few Muslim extremists.

Ones already displeased with her topless FHM shoot (below) no less.

“I’d think about it. Why would I say no? It’s a great opportunity. I’d definitely go for it,” she told the UK's Mirror, despite the controversy she created and the potentially dangerous enemies she made by appearing nude for FHM.

Veena Malik has seen many Pakistanis call for her citizenship to be revoked, and worse yet, Lashkar-e-Taiba, the Pakistani militant group behind the brutal 2008 attack on Mumbai, India, made it known they were not happy with her.

“She has made fun of all Muslim women and brought shame to the entire nation. Veena Malik will be dealt with accordingly on her return to Pakistan,” the group said.

Dealt with? Really, extremists? We'd "handle" her a little differently, to be sure.

After receiving death threats, Malik scared fans and friends when she briefly went missing last year while filming a movie, but later said she was just “resting."

Former Alaska Governor and alleged presidential hopeful Sarah Palin and her family are the subjects of a profile in the September issue of Playboy.

That issue will, naturally, feature a Mercede Johnston nude spread as well.

Right next to the profile, in fact. Nothing says positive media coverage like your face alongside the nude sister of your grandson's baby daddy.

The Palins did not participate in the piece, obviously, but the magazine sent a writer to Alaska to interview locals and friends for their expose.

Playboy sources say Mercede Johnston, 18, is outspoken in the article about Palin and Bristol, who her brother Levi got pregnant back in '08.

Sources say Johnston was paid less than $25,000 to strip down for the magazine, but excess humiliation of the Palins is likely priceless to her.

The 18-year-old Mercede will be featured in a four-page nude pictorial in Playboy's September issue, a magazine spokesperson confirmed today.

Rumors of Mercede baring all in Playboy first surfaced in February.

She has often been an outspoken critic of Bristol Palin, whose virginity Levi stole way back when, then went on to impregnate in early 2008.

Like her sibling, Mercede Johnston tells - and bares - it all.

In Palin's new memoir, Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far, Bristol detailed giving it up to Levi while drunk off wine coolers on a camping trip.

Suffice it to say, Mercede takes issue with Bristol's account.

"Does anybody really believe a good Christian girl, as Bristol claims to be, would really lose her virginity in a tent?" Mercede seethed on her blog.

"I don't think so. Usually girls want their first time to be meaningful and special," she said, adding that Palin should've called it Not Afraid of Lies.

Daisy Lowe will pose naked in the September issue of Playboy. Now, to answer the question on all readers' minds: Who the heck is Daisy Lowe?

She's a 22-year old British model who also happens to be the daughter of Gavin Rossdale. She wasn't aware of the latter fact until a 2004 paternity test.

Lowe has posed in the buff, or nearly in the buff, on multiple occasions, most notably for British GQ and Paradis Magazine. Are you excited to see her bare it all?

Bree Olson is no longer dating Charlie Sheen, but the former porn star wants to make something clear:

Hugh Hefner is a really nice guy and reeling emotionally after being dumped by Crystal Harris, but that didn't stop him from gaining a little revenge.

The publisher is making sure all copies of July's Crystal Harris Playboy cover come with a giant asterisk of sorts - a red "RUNAWAY BRIDE" sticker!

Before she dumped Hef and called off their wedding, he had already agreed to give her the July cover with the headline, "Mrs. Crystal Hefner."

Too late for a new cover model. Not too late for this:

A ton of copies have already been shipped without the sticker, TMZ reports, but Hefner insists that the big, red mark WILL appear on ALL newsstands.

Way to go, Hef, poking fun at a tough situation and getting back at his ex-fiancee at the same time. Our only complaint is that it's not big enough.
