Jimmy Fallon and Jon Hamm photobombing unsuspecting people in NYC?

If you think that sounds like comedic brilliance, you're spot on. The two teamed up last night for a segment that delighted viewers and passersby alike.

Fallon and his crew set up a camera on top of 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

"We asked people if they wanted to get their photo taken, and we told them it was for the NBC Top of the Rock website. We were lying," Fallon explained.

They did give the participants pictures, but with an added bonus: In addition to the views of the Big Apple, the actor and Tonight Show host were in them.

"It was super fun," Fallon said. "Jon Hamm's a great guy."

The two struck various poses, including the confused stare, the happy smile, the jump and the "Lady and the Tramp" ... in which they double teamed a sandwich.

Just watch it. It's worth it.

Then watch Mad Men online at TV Fanatic, and see below for more classic photobombs from celebrities since that became a thing they all do:

Oscar winner Jared Leto turned in an impressive performance in Dallas Buyers Club, but this photobomb last night might be even more worthy of acclaim.

Leto, 42, creeped on Ireland Baldwin's selfie with House of Cards star Kevin Spacey and Entertainment Tonight host Nancy O'Dell in hilarious fashion:

Jared Leto Photobomb

The Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman, who won Best Supporting Actor at the 2014 Academy Awards, got a shout-out from Ellen DeGeneres for his pretty face.

That face was not on display here, as he injected himself into Baldwin's photo between Spacey and O'Dell's heads, making the goofiest expression possible.

Pretty incredible timing by Jared, setting the bar high for Jennifer Lawrence to try and top next time around. Which you know she will 'cause she's awesome.

Side note: You may want to lay off the self-tanner, Nancy.

Just a thought. Maybe it's just us. Check out more selfies, videobombs and other memorable moments from the Oscars in the slideshow after the jump!

Emma Thompson may not have been nominated for an Academy Award.

But that hasn't stopped the veteran actress from totally dominating the awards season.

She was drunk and hilarious at the Golden Globes, throwing her shoes into the air and handing over her martini in order to announce a winner when presenting on stage.

And on Saturday night, the Saving Mr. Banks star was at it again, photobombing the heck out of SAG Awards nominee Lupita Nyong'o on the red carpet:

Andrew Luck laid the Kansas City Chiefs defense bare in the second half of yesterday's amazing playoff victory yesterday, leading the Colts back from a 28-point deficit for a 45-44 win.

After the game, meanwhile, Indianapolis punter Pat McAfee accidentally laid his quarterback bare.

Naked selfie style!

McAfee took the following photo inside the team's locker room, not realizing that Luck was changing in the background... and would have given fans an unexpected formation (if you know what we mean!) if not for the well-placed hand of a reporter.

Check out the hilarious Twit pic now:

Andrew Luck: Nearly Naked!

This is only the second funniest sports-related photobomb of the new year.

Did you catch this Red Wings fan slipping and falling while trying to get on camera last week?

We've already posted 15 minutes worth of the best news bloopers from 2013.

But it's not too early to get started on 2014, is it?

In the awesomely hilarious video below, Jennifer Hammond of Detroit Fox 2 News is giving a report on Wednesday's Winter Classic hockey game when a fan of the Red Wings prances by and tried to video bomb the camera.

Except Mother Nature/Karma steps in and the (likely inebriated) fan eats it worse than Kim Kardashian skiing.

There have been some outstanding animal photobombs throughout 2013.

But the following may take the dangerous cake.

During a recent trip to California's Manhattan Beach, June Emerson snapped a picture of her 12-year old son and his friend on a boogie board… with an unexpected guest popping up in the background to say hello.

See for yourself:

Shark Photobomb!

Fortunately, that's all the shark said, as Emerson confirms neither child was harmed during their play time at sea.

"It was quite a shock to see," June told KTLA. "Many local surfers and lifeguards have seen this and believe it to be a shark ... Of course, I told my kids it was dolphin, as we live at the beach and are in the waters here almost daily."

Probably a good call. And this remains only the second scariest photobomb of the year, trailing this shot of a shirtless dude strolling in front of a wedding party.

He's certainly no Brad Pitt, but this guy on his cell phone definitely crashed a wedding. Or at least the wedding photos of the groom and his half of the party.

Redditor Melissa Biebel submitted this photo from her wedding to the /r/funny forum with the caption "Don't mind us, just busy taking wedding photos."

"Sorry for interrupting whatever it is you're doing..."

Which was taking a leisurely stroll through a public park while on the phone and shirtless, apparently. You know, like every normal human being does.

The pic is classic, as the oblivious photobomber looks as if he's the one being intruded upon by the guys in suits. As for the man himself ... words fail us:

The only thing better than seeing Beyonce perform live in concert? Beyonce herself leaning in and photo bombing your candid selfie, unbeknownst to you.

A photo is making the rounds this week, documenting that exact scenario:

Beyonce Photo Bomb

The photobomb "victim" is a 15-year-old dancer from Australia, according to her Tumblr blog, who saw Bey last weekend at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne Park.

In explaining the perfect moment, the lucky girl summed it up well ...

"I dont even know it was such a blur i just remember her bending down to me and my friend and i just turned for the photo and wowoowow."

"It was the best moment ever like she posed its crazy i wasnt even expecting her to look at my phone or notice me in the crowd."

Indeed. Check it out after the jump in animated GIF form, too!
