Jeremy Renner needs your help.

The Bourne Legacy and Avengers star lost his French Bulldog, Hemi, on July 19 when a power outage caused his home's front gate to slide open.

In response, the actor has launched a Facebook campaign for information leading to the pooch's return and he's offering $5,000 as a reward for the canine, no questions asked.

"5,000 Reward, Lost Dog," says a missing sign posted on the HemiMissingFrenchie Facebook page, which was created five days after the canine vanished.

It's time to snuggle up to your pups and perhaps shield their eyes.

Dog lovers and canine rescue operators gathered together in Baltimore to put to rest the remains of 240 dogs who were found in the home of animal hoarder, Judy Cahill.

Dog Funeral

The dogs were buried in the Baltimore Humane Society's Nicodemus Memorial Park, a nice resting place for the dogs who had such a sad existence in life.

Judy Cahill was charged with neglect after the dogs were found in her home in deplorable conditions. She had been hoarding animals in her home for over 30 years. Due to terms of her conviction, she will not be able to own a pet in Maryland for ten years.

So sad. I think we all need to go watch that amazing puppy again.

It's a bird... it's a plane... it's Bo, a dog who set the world record this week for the vertical jump while taking part in the DockDogs World Championship Wild Card Event at Stone Mountain Park!

Bo soared an incredible 8'5" in the air, landing in a pool and receiving thunderous applause for his effort. Watch it now:

And this wasn't the only impressive feat accomplished by a canine over the past several days:

This seems to be the week of strange animal stories. The other day it was the roaming gang of street cats, and today it is a stray dog gone wrong.

Taking in a stray dog is such a selfless act. Giving an animal a home is usually paid back in spades by the adoring love of the new mutt.

And then, sometimes, the dog chews your nuts off.

An Arkansas man, who for obvious reasons wished to remain nameless when recounting his story, found himself in that exact position.

Birds. Bees. Bugs. Dogs. Cats. Kim Kardashian.

One look at this video of Twerking animals and you come to realize that all creatures on this Earth are united by the suggestively hilarious dance craze.

It's in our DNA, people. We are one.

Which came first, the humping rituals of primitive beasts or Miley Cyrus Twerking? As with many of life's great mysteries, there is no clear answer.

What is clear is that such majestic maneuvering is not just a human pastime, even if we'd much rather watch the Scripps Ranch Twerk team than a cat's rear end.

Then again, that's just us.

We need some inspirational dog stories right about now.

Over the weekend, a woman was found in a feces-filled hotel room with six canines.

Days prior to that incident, a St. Louis resident was arrested for burning her sister's pet in the backyard.

But meet Max. AMAZING Max, we should say. The Boston Terrier was taken in by The Mia Foundation at six weeks old after being diagnosed with Swimmer Puppy Syndrome, an affliction that results in a flat chest and sternum.

Typically, dogs with such an ailment are euthanized because they cannot sit, stand or walk... but try telling that to Max! Watch this video to see how far he came in just two weeks of training:

On Friday morning, firefighters in Framingham, Massachusetts responded to calls about a woman vomiting at a Red Roof Inn and arrived to a disturbing scene:

A woman and at least six Maltese dogs, living in a room full of urine and feces.

According to authorities, the unnamed female was in her 60s and had been renting the room for three years. She was transported by the police to MetroWest Medical Center.

In "Furred Lines," a group of dogs cover Robin Thicke's summer anthem "Blurred Lines."

It's not nearly as likely to be banned by YouTube as the original, but it may also go viral!

In The Pet Collective's furry, funny parody, suggestive "Blurred Lines" lyrics like "you're a good girl" take on an entirely new meaning. Think about it.

"Stay if you want it. Sit if you want it. Beg if you want it." You're an animal.

Dogs also recently covered the Miley Cyrus Twerking ballad "We Can't Stop" with their own rendition "We Can Bark." We sense a theme here.

Did you hear about the bear that walked into a bar? Really, that happened last week in Colorado.

What about the dog who can walk on two legs... and his hind legs... and backwards.

Meet Jiff the Pomeranian. The canine's Facebook page lists him as an entertainer who's a "movie actor/model," he's been featured on ABC and he's earned himself nearly 500,000 likes.

Watch this video and it's easy to see why:

Did you hear the one about a bear who walked into a bar... and then just kept walking and walking without bothering any patrons and then left without even buying a drink?

That's what went down in a Colorado bar this week, as security footage captured the beast just strolling around harmlessly.

Watch the footage for yourself now:

Seriously, who knew cats - the new zombies of the apocalypse - were more dangerous than black bears?
