Rihanna Blows Off People's Choice Awards ... For Clippers-Heat Game Next Door!
Rihanna blew off the People's Choice Awards in L.A. this week. As did other stars, to be sure ... but Rihanna did so to watch an NBA game! Across the street!
Faux pas?
The Los Angeles CLIPPERS were the hot ticket in town Wednesday, besting the Heat in overtime (sorry LeBron) in what was definitely a good game. Still.
Katy Perry is trying to stay out of the limelight as her divorce drama blows over. Lady Gaga was no doubt off performing and shutting it down elsewhere.
Rihanna won the People's Choice Award for "Favorite R&B Artist" yet sat a few hundred yards away. Was she wrong to bail on the show just to kick it?
Eh, not really. The People's Choice Awards are pointless.

People's Choice Awards Face-Off: Demi Lovato vs. Vanessa Hudgens
Vanessa Hudgens introduced Demi Lovato at the People's Choice Awards last night, prior to the singing coming out and underwhelming us with a performance of "Give Your Heart a Break."
So it's only appropriate that these two are linked here, in the latest edition of a THG Fashion Face-Off.
Both stars chose a dress for the event that highlighted a certain section of their bodies; for Demi it was the chest region; for Vanessa, the back. Do you prefer one style over another? Did Lovato go too far with her cleavage accentuation? Which look do you like best? Decide now.

People's Choice Awards Face-Off: Kaley Cuoco vs. Jennifer Lawrence
Kaley Cuoco was the master of ceremonies at last night's People's Choice Awards in L.A. while Jennifer Lawrence may clean up at this fun awards show in 2013.
The Hunger Games promises to be one of the year's most-watched film events, with the 21-year-old star - already an Oscar nominee for Winter's Bone - as the lead.
Right now, however, we're focused on Wednesday night, and Jennifer's style, contrasted with that of The Big Bang Theory star Kaley. Who was best dressed?

Faith Hill Performs "Come Home" at People's Choice Awards [Video]
For country music fans, Faith Hill‘s performance of her new song "Come Home" was the highlight of the 2012 People’s Choice Awards Wednesday night on CBS.
Granted, Taylor Swift won Favorite Country Artist, and deservedly so, but there's no doubt Faith helped pave the way for such crossover stars like T-Swift.
Last night, Hill returned to the national spotlight for just the third time in recent years, singing the song that she debuted at the CMA Awards in November.
With the emotions of the song heavy on her face, Hill immersed herself in the ballad. "Come Home" is the lead single from her upcoming, untitled new album:
People's Choice Awards Face-Off: Miley Cyrus vs. Ashley Greene
Let's make a winner out of either Miley Cyrus or Ashley Greene, shall we?
Neither young star nabbed any trophies at the 2012 People's Choice Awards last night, as Harry Potter stuck it to The Twilight Saga all evening long, winning all categories in which the two were nominated.
But at least each beauty looked her best on the red carpet, although only one can be crowned the champion of this Fashion Face-Off. Study the dresses below of Miley and Ashley and vote on your favorite now.

Katy Perry: OUT of People's Choice Awards
Katy Perry apparently needs a little bit more time out of the spotlight.
The "Firework" announced she's bailing on her return to the public eye.
"Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards," she wrote. "I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS."
The award show tomorrow night was to be Perry's first public appearance since she and husband Russell Brand split up just before New Year's Eve.
Perry, who is up for seven People's Choice Awards, didn't give a reason why she's no longer attending. Her rep also declined comment on the topic.
Perry recently returned to Twitter, thanking her fans for making her "heart happy again," while also taking a shot at her parents and gossip sources.
"I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me," she tweeted with a hint of bitterness. "Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family."
She has two concerts scheduled in Indonesia on Jan. 19 and 22, so it may be awhile until we see her out and about stateside. Grammys perhaps?
