Paula Abdul and JT Torregiani Freak Us Out

When it was announced that Ryan Seacrest would host the Emmy Awards, many viewers were scared that the American Idol host would try to sing, dance or be funny.

But he did an okay job.

The most frightening people at the ceremony were still related to Idol, however, as Paula Abdul and her man candy, JT Torregiani, did their best wax statue impersonation.

Paula Abdul, JT Torregiani

Torregiani is the owner of Hollywood hot spot, Ketchup, the scene of a confrontation on The Hills last night between Lauren Conard, Jason Wahler, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag.

Abdul, of course, is the drunk American Idol judge.

Together, these two form a pair that's almost as scary as a pissed off OJ Simpson.

Annoying Feud of the Week: Paula Abdul vs. Rosie O'Donnell

When Perez Hilton comes out swinging against Lauren Conrad, it's easy to take the side of that innocent star of The Hills.

But when there's a feud between two equally nauseating personalities, it can be difficult to distinguish right from wrong.

In the most recent spat between Paula Abdul and Rosie O'Donnell, however, there's little doubt that the former co-host of The View has - one again - gone too far.

In Rosie's recent immature blog, she discusses with a fan the idea that Abdul is suffering from Parkinson's Disease. And it's not the first time the well-known liberal has gone off on the American Idol judge, previously referring to her as "desperate, raw, vulnerable" and "so needy for love."

While we don't doubt Paula is spoiled and most likely insane, we're a celebrity gossip blog. We're allowed to make baseless accusations. But doesn't O'Donnell have a responsibility to not wildly speculate about such a serious disease?

Paula Abdul vs. Rosie O

Abdul's rep, Jeff Ballard, thinks so. He recently released the following statement to Extra:

"This is absolutely ridiculous and untrue that Paula has Parkinson's. Rosie's been the object of rumors herself and I would think she would be more responsible about starting them herself.

Paula considers Rosie a friend. She's been to Paula's house. They've had dinner, and personally I think Rosie should mind her own business."

We agree. And can't imagine Whoopi Goldberg expressing herself in such a juvenile manner.

Disagree with Elisabeth Hasselbeck all you want, people, but you don't see her writing like a fourth grader on any Rosie-like blog, desperate to stay in the news, making gross assumptions about celebrities, generalizations about terrorist attacks.

She simply expresses a political point of view.

Rosie O'Donnell Goes Off on Paula Abdul

The day on which Whoopi Goldberg was officially named to the panel of The View, the show's old instigator could not keep her mouth shut again.

Rosie O'Donnell took to her fourth grade writing style again via her blog, this time focusing her wrath on Paula Abdul.

Writing in her immature and lame customary haiku style on her site, O'Donnell posted a lengthy message in apparent reference to Abdul's Bravo reality show Hey, Paula. She writes, in part:

Cat Fight!right now
paula abdul would yell action
and the result would be
what we all see

there r times
u r so broken
fragile
pain filled
love less
desperate
raw
vulnerable
so needy for love ...

hey paula
we cringe
at r selves
thru u

Who does Rosie think she is, Candy Spelling? How is Abdul's lifestyle any of her business?

Of course, this is not the first time O'Donnell has taken Abdul to task. In January, when American Idol hosts Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Abdul were drawing fire for being too mean to season-six contestants, O'Donnell reprimanded the trio from her seat on The View.

"Isn't that what America thinks is entertainment?" O'Donnell asked. "To make fun of someone's physical appearance and then when they leave the room laugh hysterically at them â€" three millionaires, one probably intoxicated," she said, in apparent reference to Abdul, who had exhibited some odd behavior while promoting the FOX show.

The truth is, of course, that Paula Abdul is undoubtedly spoiled and insane. Good luck with that, JT Torregiani.

But we're also sick of Rosie O'Donnell constantly sticking her nose into other people's lives. You're off TV now. Go be a good mother to your adopted children and stop passing judgments on every individual that doesn't agree with you.

And learn how to write like an adult.

Paula Abdul: JT Torregiani is a Good Guy

Paula in Love Paula Abdul is known for doling out the highest of praise to the lowliest of contestants on American Idol.

So we're not sure how her new boyfriend, JT Torregiani, should feel after Paula simply referred to him as a "good guy." That's all she could muster?

On this morning's Today show, host Matt Lauer teased the Hey Paula and American Idol star that she once compared her romantic life to "a horror movie." He then asked if she were currently dating.

The response, People magazine posted? Abdul replied that things were "looking upwards â€" things are looking good right now."

As she was being cagey on any details, Abdul was confronted on air with a photograph of her and Torregiani at this week's New York premiere of Hairspray (starring young hottie Zac Efron).

Lauer then asked if her movie date was the reason for her happiness.

Abdul answered in the affirmative, saying her beau "is a good guy."

In June, Abdul celebrated turning 45 with a scavenger hunt and birthday bash â€" attended by friends and former American Idol contestants Jordin Sparks and Blake Lewis â€" at Torregiani's West Hollywood eatery Ketchup, where he spent the entire night by her side.

Simon Cowell, we're guessing, calls the pairing "revolting" and "pathetic." Meanwhile, Randy Jackson says Torregiani is simply his "dawg."

JT Torregiani: Paula Abdul's New Man

JT Torregiani may be bumping Paul Sculfor out of the celebrity boyfriend headlines.

A day after Paula Abdul's awful new reality series, Hey Paula, debuted on Bravo, celebrity gossip circles are abuzz over something else new in her life. Or, to be more precise, someone new.

Us Weekly reports in the new issue that for the past few months the American Idol judge has been dating restauranteur JT Torregiani. He threw a 45th birthday party for his lady on June 19 at Ketchup, a West Hollywood eatery he co-owns with actress Tara Reid.

So the guy obviously knows how to keep good company. And name restaurants.

JT Torregiani and Paula Abdul

Meet JT Torregiani, the guy lucky enough to reportedly see Paula Abdul nude every night.

"You could tell she was so happy to be with him," says a witness at the bash, which included American Idol alums Jordin Sparks, Blake Lewis and Chris Richardson. "They were cuddling all night."

Abdul and Torregiani met through friends and a source says they're getting almost as serious as Joel Madden and Nicole Richie.

"She introduces him to everyone as her boyfriend," the insider says. "It's really cute how she's so smitten."

Almost as cute as how drunk she is all the time. We wonder if Simon Cowell is jealous.

Paula Abdul: Treat Me Like a Gift!

Which American Idol star is most precious? Blake Lewis or Jordin Sparks?

According to a certain judge on the show, it's neither. Guess which critic believes she ought to be the center of all attention.

Indeed, train-wreck-tastic Paula Abdul went on a self-important diatribe during an episode of her reality show, Hey Paula. The crazy one ranted: "I'm tired of people not treating me like the gift that I am."

Oh Vey!

In the premiere, set to air June 28, Simon Cowell's favorite target appears addled after the 2007 Grammy Awards. She stumbles on the street and giggles in the back of her limo ("I crack myself up!") before her mood darkens and she berates two assistants for not bringing her sweat pants to change into for a flight.

The encounter makes Paris Hilton look unspoiled. Well, sort of. But it does reveal a needy celebrity who, in the lap of pampering, constantly believes herself to be mistreated by those around her.

"The way I've been treated is [like] a piece of dog sâ€"," Abudl complains in another typical outburst that insults canine feces everywhere.

All in all, it's obviously fantastic television. The singer makes Coley Laffoon look sane by comparison.

Paula Abdul Whines: I'm No Whiny Bitch

Stop hogging the American Idol spotlight, Blake Lewis.

Paula Abdul has some things to get off her wacky chest.

In a sob-filled audio tape obtained by The New York Post, the judge is captured having a meltdown during a recent conference call.

In a Simon Cowell-like rant - minus the cool accent and calm demeanor - Paula attacks former publicist Howard Bragman; reveals she's dealing with challenging medical problems; and states she's had enough of the terrible treatment she receives from the "people who are supposed to be taking care of things."

Paula Abdul Photo She sobs on the tape: "I've never been treated this way and I've never seen anybody treated this way. This is just too much to stomach."

We guess she's referring to the celebrity gossip rumors that she's drunk all the time. But Paula still has a long way to go to catch up with Britney Spears.

Abdul, the former wife of Emilio Estevez, also outlines her health problems, including an adrenal disease called Addison's. (Which is NOT named after the Kate Walsh character on Private Practice.)

Ranting about Bragman, who apparently didn't appreciate her enough, the former pop star says: "I do a call-in every week for OK! Magazine on American Idol. Because of my brilliant job, they want to do a cover on me. I'm being told by Howard Bragman that I'm too old and no one will ever want to do a cover."

Abdul went on to say she was tired of such treatment. Apparently, Bragman did not even show up with her for a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

We know: this is more galling behavior than anything Alex Rodriguez has done.

And Paula is sick of it!

"I don't understand how this man can call me a whining bitch. I've never in my life been called a whining bitch and a loser."

It's never too late, though, is it?

Simon Cowell Taunts Paula Abdul, Ignores American Idol Singers

Does it really come as a shock that Simon Cowell isn't a great listener?

During an appearance recently on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, the American Idol judgeSimon Says … admitted he's not always paying close attention to performances. So, just what is he up to as hopefuls sing their hearts out?

"I'm taunting [Paula Abdul] throughout the performance," Cowell said. "I'm saying to her, 'Try to say something interesting, try not to use the words mountain and lakes in your critiques because it's always: You'll climb mountains, you'll swim lakes, whatever.' "

But how can Simon judge contestants such as Chris Richardson if he's so busy bugging Abdul?

"I'll tell you a secret," he said. "I watch the dress run so I actually hear much, much easier what they really do sound like."

As for his American Idol picks, Cowell went with the favorites Jordin Sparks and Melinda Doolittle, but added:

"I wouldn't write off Blake Lewis or LaKisha Jones."

Jamie Lynn Spears, Paula Abdul: Just Hanging Out

While Justin Timberlake was making the girls screen on stage at the Kids Choice Awars last night, exciting pairings were posing for the camera behind the scenes.

For example, here's Paula Abdul, taking a break from thinking up fake compliments for Sanjaya Malakar. And who's that cutie on her right?

Spears, Abdul

It's Jamie Lynn Spears, of course.

The 15-year old sister of Britney Spears actually has hair. And no shady ex-huband. Nor is there a flask in her pocket (we assume). Are we sure these siblings are related? It's sort of like Lindsay Lohan and her normal looking sis, Ali Lohan.

Maybe there's hope for at least one half of famous celebrity siblings, after all. Just not for Tori Spelling or Randy Spelling.
