Prince George, a.k.a. the Royal Baby, a.k.a. HRH Prince George Alexander Louis of Cambridge, is about to turn one. And what a year it has been!

This future heir, possessed of "a voice to match any lion’s roar," according to his dad, Prince William, is not the type to sit quietly and rest on his laurels.

He's the kind of baby who pops balloons, has no fear of strangers or animals, and goes HARD at play dates, holding court and running the show.

His current hobbies of choice? These days, says his mom, Duchess Kate Middleton, "he's most interested in helicopters and anything with wheels."

It's only fitting for a little guy who's always on the go.

As he comes upon his first birthday July 22, the young boy who will be king has already notched several milestones: smiles, belly rolls, babbles and steps.

Check out the video above for a look at some of George's first year's most memorable moments, and scroll through his life in pictures after the jump!

We all have those childhood photos that we look back on fondly, timeless memories cherished and preserved as a reminder of a simpler, bygone era.

Did you ever think of recreating them many years later, though?

These people have, and the results? Nothing short of hilarious.

You can imagine how it would look if your present self tried to recreate your childhood moments, dating all the way back to infancy in some cases.

We have no idea how some of the parents kept a straight face, or where one even buys an adult-sized onesie, but these pics will make your day.

The more things change, the more they stay the same ...

Two Heads Are Better Than ...
... one old photo? BTW, you wonder if that stunted their growth being in there for two decades.

You really never know when a penis will pop up.

Sometimes a church in Illinois takes this shape. Other times, a furry black dog.

And at other times you're feeding your baby girl when you notice a drawing inside a shape that very closely resembles a man's most private part.

This is what happened to Shane and Carla Gallivan of Nottinghamshire, with the latter telling Great Britain’s The Metro that she recently noticed how her child’s “trousers were covered in penises” and she was “angry because it’s not the kind of thing you should be dressing a baby in.”

Not typically, no. One would hope not, at least.

A close look does seem to reveal that a designer may have been having a bit of subtle fun with this item.

Sometimes, a lemur hops into a baby carriage at the zoo. It just happens.

But most the time, animals need not go to such lengths in order to find comfort: they can just turn to their mothers or their fathers.

In the following photo gallery, we highlight 21 creatures that have one very important thing in common with human parents around the world: they love their kids very, very, very much.

Whether this means giving them a tongue bath or carrying them across the water on their backs, the affection is real and it's adorable.

See for yourself:

Shhh... be very quiet. This otter is fast asleep in his mother's arms.

Of course, animals can also express a different kind of affection.

Sometimes, the use of Photoshop removes arms and takes away nipples.

Other times, it restores your faith in humanity.

Such was the case for Nathen Steffel, whose daughter Sophia passed away in Cincinnati's Children's Hospital after suffering a hepatic hemangioma in her liver at just six weeks old.

Not long afterward, Steffel told his sad story on Reddit and made a request of other users:

"Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were able to get a photo without all her tubes," he wrote. "Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?"

And complete strangers took it from there.

Jason Biggs has stepped into yet another controversy.

No, the actor didn't have sex with a hooker while his wife watched again. Nor did he mock a dead Bachelorette contestant.

But Biggs did snap a selfie while driving (the first no-no), while also giving Instagram followers a look at wife Jenny Mollen breastfeeding in the backseat (the second no-no, according to some at least).

Driving While Breastfeeding

"I hope I don't get pulled over and get a DWB (Driving While Breastfeeding). @jennyandteets2," the Orange is the New Black star wrote as a caption to the above photo.

So, parents, what have you done recently for your children?

Did you get your son Minecraft for his birthday? Gift your child with a puppy? Not bad.

But now consider this: According to The Washington Post, Virginia native Jeremiah Heaton recently researched the Internet in search of an unowned piece of land.

And he succeeded, coming across an 800-square-mile desert patch near the border of Egypt and Sudan.

Heaton subsequently obtained permission from Egyptian authorities to travel to the locale and was actually welcomed there by the local residents, who refers to the area as Bir Tawil.

Amidst the ongoing debate over breastfeeding in public, a new online movement has cropped up that aims to catch Facebook and Instagram in a parental double standard.

The 4th Trimester Bodies Project is a website that strives to depict the real bodies of women who have gone through pregnancy - from stretch marks to scars.

Ashlee Wells Jackson, among others, has been dismayed over these social media networks removing revealing pictures of mothers and their babies ...

... while the sites happily post shots of models in bikinis and lingerie.

Instagram has shut down Jackson's page nine times as a result.

In response, Jackson has created the hashtag #StopCensoringMotherhood and is using it to call out Facebook and Instagram, wondering a simple question:

Why Kylie Jenner and company can pose nearly naked online, yet the following pictures are deemed "inappropriate." We'd love to hear the answer ...

The official website for the Tanganyika Wildlife Park in Goddard, Kansas, does not advertise that visitors can expect a ring-tailed lemur in your baby carrier.

But it might as well!

In mom Angie Widener's case, that scenario actually occurred, as she was astonished to discover the creature on her 9-week-old sleeping child's head:

Lemur, Baby

Strollers are not allowed in the facility's lemur exhibit, so mom brought baby Finley in in her car seat, which she proceeded to set on the ground.

She was watching her two older children feed the animals when a stranger pointed out casually, "Um, ma'am ... there is a lemur on your baby."

That there was.

Chances are, most of us who have four-year-olds living with us did not spend Sunday putting on said child's clothing and posting photos of ourseives in said attire on Instagram.

Most of us (thank goodness) are not named Bethenny Frankel.

Bethenny Frankel in Daughter's Pajamas

The 43-year-old SkinnyGirl cocktail mogul and alumna of The Real Housewives of New York City did exactly that, inspired by her 4-year-old daughter Bryn.

Bethenny, apparently, can fit in little Bryn's Hello Kitty pajamas.

"This is my daughter's nightgown and PJ shorts. Think we're ready to start sharing clothes yet?" she wrote, begging so many questions:

  • Is she trying to comment on expectations for women and body image?
  • Is she trying to show off how amazingly thin she personally is at age 43?
  • Is she merely stoked at saving couple bucks on her clothing budget?
  • Is she innocently pointing out how quickly our little babies grow up?
  • Is she sharing this knowing it will rile up ex-husband Jason Hoppy?

No one can say for sure. But she is a really, really skinny girl.
