Taryn Manning plays Pennsatucky on the hit Netflix series Orange is the New Black, and it now looks like the 32-year-old actress might need to be fitted for a brightly-colored jumpsuit in real life.

Manning was taken into custody yesterday after a judge determined that she violated a restraining order by threatening to kill her former best friend Jeanine Heller via text messages and social media.

Manning was arrested for assaulting Heller in 2012, and in the years since both parties have been found guilty of violating the terms of their mutual domestic restraining order.

While Manning and Heller's previous offenses didn't result in prosecution, this time could be different, as documented death threats can result in up to five years in prison.

Teresa Giudice has been sentenced to serve her 15-month prison term at the Danbury, Conn., location where the series Orange is the New Black is based.

Teresa Giudice: Orange is the New Black!

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star was fired by her crisis manager earlier this week, allegedly for trying to orchestrate a move to this very spot.

Wendy Feldman ended her contract with her high profile client on Monday, for not following due process in her representations to the Bureau of Prisons.

Conflicting reports said that she tried to secure a place in a halfway house, which would have allowed her to work and visit home during the weekend.

In any case, a judge shot down her halfway house request, saying that her timing for such applications was all wrong and sending her off to Danbury.

Guidice, who was sentenced to 15 months in prison for fraud and conspiracy with her husband Joe Giudice (who got 41 months) is free until January 5.

The ongoing saga of Teresa Giudice's legal troubles just keeps getting weirder and weirder.

Here's a quick run-down to bring you up to speed:

Teresa Giudice: Telling It Like It Is

Earlier this month, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months in prison. She tried to get out of it (even though she'd signed a plea deal); she gave some lucrative pre-prison interviews, and then she hired an ex-con "crisis manager."

Within days, the crisis manager - Wendy Feldman - had scored Teresa a tell-all book deal and helped her land a cushy prison assignment.

It looked like there was finally a silver lining in the dark cloud that is Teresa's life. So naturally, she had to go and paint it black:

Piper and Alex who?!?

A different lesbian couple is currently stealing all the Orange is the New Black headlines.

Back in May, Lauren Morelli wrote an essay for Identities.Mic in which she admitted that writing for the show’s main character, Piper, and her ex-girlfriend, Alex, made her come to grips with her own sexuality.

Samira Wiley and Lauren Morelli

"I was so deep in my own self-doubt that I constantly felt like a fraud," Morelli wrote for the site. "I was sure it was bleeding into my writing. How could it not? I was married to a man, but I wasn't straight."

We've already seen what sort of hilarity can result from surprising combinations such as Frozen and Game of Thrones, now a brilliant animator has dropped some of the most beloved Disney princesses into an even more unlikely setting: Litchfield Minimum Security State Prison.

Yes, Queen Elsa and company have been given the Orange is the New Black treatment and the result is every bit as brilliant as you'd expect.

Elsa is joined behind bars by Disney favorites ranging from Beauty and the Beast's Belle ("I know you're not reading my books, b--ch!") to Brave's Merida. (How'd she get that knife inside?!)

A surprising number of OINTB characters have perfect Disney parallels. We never realized how much sweetly clueless Morello has in common with Snow White, and Pornstache, of course, is basically just Gaston with a badge.

Uzo Aduba plays fan-favorite Crazy Eyes on Orange is the New Black, but a new video from Funny or Die asks the question: what would it look like if she played every part on the show?

There's so much brilliance packed into this 3-minute clip that it's hard to pick a favorite highlight, but for us, it doesn't get much better than Aduba slipping into a Lil Wayne impression while trying out for the part of Poussey.

Though come to think of it, her take on Alex Vause is pretty great, too. At least producers know they have someone to fall back on if Laura Prepon ever quits OITNB again.

We recommend that you check out the video above, then watch Orange is the New Black online at TV Fanatic and try to imagine how different the show would be with Uzo in the role of Piper.

For those of you who have yet to binge-watch Orange is the New Black season two (What are you waiting for?!) Laura Prepon's Alex Vause makes only a couple brief appearances throughout the 13-episode run.

That's not exactly a spoiler as we knew Prepon planned to quit OITNB after the first season (allegedly as a result of her Scientologist beliefs), before eventually agreeing to come back for a few episodes in order to wrap up her character's storyline.

While the second season of the acclaimed series has proven to be just as riveting and gut-bustingly funny as the first, the absence of wild card Alex has left a noticeable void in Litchfield.

Fortunately, in an interview with Today this morning, Prepon stated that she'll return as a series regular for the already-confirmed third season of OITNB:

Season 2 of Orange is the New Black doesn't premiere until Friday, but early reviews for the Netlflix original series are already in, and according to critics the second go-round will definitely leave you demanding a longer sentence.

Check out some raves for the beloved female prison dramedy below:

"This round is just as addicting as the first, the ensemble rising to the occasion of topping their first outing." - Joanne Ostrow

"The producers find a way to bring in a new crop of fresh characters without losing the old zany favorites." - David Hinckley

"The series grapples with familial and societal forces in the service of an ensemble that counts among television's most engaging." - Matt Brennan

Dascha Polanco is one of the many stars of Orange is the New Black who look very different in real life, a fact she proved again while talking with reporters at a recent GLAAD event.

Naturally, most of the questions fired at Dascha had to do with what's in store for the second season of OITNB.

As expected, she remained tight-lipped and pretended to whisper important plot details into a journalist's ear.

She did divulge (possibly jokingly) one tidbit about season 2 which may seem a bit surprising given that the show takes place almost entirely behind prison walls.

"Lots of sex," Dascha whispers coyly at one point. Generally, prisons rank up there with funeral homes as one of the least sexy places on earth, but the first season already showed us that sometimes love can bloom in the cafeteria line.

Orange is the New Black star Laverne Cox covers the new issue of Time magazine and opens up to the respected news weekly about the unique challenges she's faced as a transgender actress.

Laverne Cox Time Magazine Cover

"I just thought that I was a girl and that there was no difference between girls and boys," Cox says of her childhood gender identity."I think in my imagination I thought that I would hit puberty and I would start turning into a girl."

Cox shares some horrifying instances of childhood bullying and the many difficulties she's faced both before and after transitioning.

Asked to summarize what she'd like the uninformed to know about trangender people, Cox says:

"There's not just one trans story. There's not just one trans experience...If someone needs to express their gender in a way that is different, that is okay, and they should not be denied healthcare. They should not be bullied."
