Zombie foreclosures.

This bizarre term refers to a bizarre, little-known but very real horror of the U.S. housing bust that is crippling homeowners coast to coast, six years in.

Zombie Foreclosure

Thousands are finding themselves legally liable for houses they didn't know they still owned after banks decided it wasn't worth their while to complete foreclosures.

With impunity, banks walk away from foreclosures much the way some homeowners walked away from their mortgages when the housing market first crashed.

Travelers passing through Australia's Melbourne Airport Monday may have witnessed a hilariously cute and chaotic scene. A kangaroo was somehow on the loose!

Around 7 a.m., a 3-year-old eastern gray kangaroo was spotted in the parking garage, hopping around for almost two hours and giving security the slip:

Kangaroo

Wildlife officer Manfred Zabinskas was called to catch the adorable young marsupial, who was tranquilized in order to be transported back to safety.

Zabinskas noted he had been away from his natural habitat for some time, and that the romp through the parking garage had done some damage to his feet.

A professor is causing befuddlement and outrage with recent claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Conn., did not occur.

The Daily Mail reported that James Tracy, a tenured history professor at Florida Atlantic University, wrote this in a lengthy post on his personal blog.

Newtown

Tracy explores what he says is the possibility that the Newtown shooting may not have happened the way that it is widely believed, if it happened at all.

The 47-year-old professor bases his claims largely on the flurry of conflicting media reports that were made as news of the shooting was released.

Suspended for a Facebook post? Believe it, as an eighth-grade student in Vietnam learned the hard way after posting a parody of a speech by Ho Chi Minh.

A teenager's photo of what looks like a brain (or maybe a kidney) within his KFC meal has gone viral and resulted in an apology from the fast food chain.

Ibrahim Langoo, 19, posted the pic on Facebook account last month after dining at a KFC in Colchester, England ... for the last time, we imagine.

KFC Box

"I just wanted to get out of KFC as quickly as I could," he told the Sun. "I still feel sick and disgusted by it now. I threw it down onto my tray immediately."

"It looked like a brain. I suddenly felt grim and really sick."

KFC apologized, but the damage was done. If you thought your homemade roasted chicken recipe was boring, at least it's probably brain-free. Perspective.

The photo is so straight up FOWL (pun intended) that we couldn't even bear to put it on our homepage ... follow the jump if you have the stomach for it:
